Hey guys -
Thanks for joining us in this new adventure. The DeMarco's family will be located in Miami, Fl. They've only been established for ten years or so, which is green in the world of mafia, but Don DeMarco's uncle Frankie runs the show in New York and his family is known across the United States and in Cuba for their various business ventures and entrepreneurial spirit. To be in the family you will have to establish your connections via your background. If you have questions about how you know the Don, please swing them through me (Kate) as I'll be playing our illustrious leader. If you have any questions at all you just let me know and I'll help you out. Remember this is old school mafia, so respect is key. :)
We're looking for Capos and soldiers for the rings below. Please see the Family Structure tab below to see how we all stack up. If you're a Capo, you're of course in charge of a ring for us and will answer directly to the Under Boss, my character Abigail.

My good friends, respects to all again. This is for anyone who may be a little confused about the ins and outs of DeMarco tradition I felt that this should not be ignored, it would be an affront to our friendship, and I consider myself honor bound to offer some instruction. I don't wanna you ta miss anythin'. I'm gonna to start you out with what you might call the rules of conduct of any respectable crime family and if ya disagree ya know ya have a right to speak up unless ya value your tongue. Let me explain.
Rule Number One: Obedience
This is all about respect. Always do what your boss tells you. He's the boss for a good reason, so do what he says. The boss is the only one who can give the order to whack someone. If you've got a beef with someone, don't go thinking that you have the right to get rid of the problem yourself. Keep your cool, think with your head and stay smart. You take your beef to the next sit down and let the boss decide. Always do what he says, and nothing more. Don't start any fights you cant win. If it happens our enforcer can finish it for ya.
Rule Number Two: Loyalty
Always remain loyal to members of the Family. Your Family always comes first, no exceptions. So be a team player. Don't get in the way of each others interests. Be prepared to defend the Family with your life. An attack on any member should be considered an attack on all members, to be avenged no matter what really stand with this one. We are Family. Let's stay strong with that. Also, remember that other Families are family, too. You are expected to help out any faction in need, unless that faction is at war with your Family, in which case they are to be treated as mortal enemies. At least until your Don says otherwise, then you can play nice.
Rule Number Three: Honor
This one is simple, and ties into the first two rules. Basically, just be a stand-up man or woman. Keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth shut. When you see something that's not your business, don't see it. Keep your mouth shut. If you hear things not mean for you, don't hear them. Don't be a babbo. Mind ya own business.
Rule number four: Pride
If you take pride in your business and your Family, the rest comes naturally. Be a man or woman of honor and always do right by your Family. Remember that in Sicily (God bless), the word mafia was once used to describe individuals of pride, excellence, grace and self-confidence. Try and live up to it, for Christsakes. Respect women and your elders. Try to have some class.
Rule number five: Silence
Now this is the big one. The sacred oath of Omertà . This basically means silence, but the word Omertà was once used to describe manliness. So never discuss Family business. Never have any dealings with authorities under any circumstances. Don't be an informer, I ain't sayin' nothin'. Remember, no one likes a rat, unless its a dead rat. You are to keep the identities and activities of Family members secret at all costs. Violation of this code is punishable by death. Nobody's gonna to give you a pass on this one, so don't go wagging your tongue unless you want it removed.
1. ALL REQUESTS to see the Don unless otherwise asked to come to the Dons mansion or Family meetings, will go thru the Consigliere. NO EXCEPTIONS.
2. ALL WEAPONS will be taken from you at the front door ( failure to post turning your weapons over to the bodyguards before entering will get your post voided). NO EXCEPTIONS
OOC= In real life bringing a weapon anywhere near a Don, or inside his home was a sign of disrespect and earned you a bullet in the brain,my Npc bodygaurds have orders to use excessive deadly force and then feed your corpse to the Lions. *giggles*
