Name: Lauren Tryner

Family: Sister, Allison Tryner

Occupation: Division Captain – Major Crimes Unit

Personality: Lauren is fun-loving and the center of attention in most situations. Her humor and positive outlook on life is a bit contagious, but she’s been places and seen things that challenge her to remain who she is at her core. She’s very analytical in nature and does well at the scene of a crime because reading between the lines presented by the evidence is what she prides herself in.

Though she’s warm and welcoming to her friends and family, she’s very demanding of her team and at times can come off a bit condescending. She pushes herself to excellence and expects nothing less from those that serve next to her on the battlefield. She’s had very few love interest in her life and tries at best to keep it that way, not too terribly interested in loving and loosing – again.

History: Growing up just six hours north of Justice in Santa Maria, CA, Lauren had a good life, one filled with surf boards and long days at the beach. Excelling at school was difficult for her, but eventually after a few run in’s with the wrong crowd and watching her older sister’s life diminish in front of her eyes she removed herself from everything and focused on getting ahead. Her only regret in life lay in a memory of a night of passion that should’ve have occurred and left her a bit more scarred than she’d ever admit to anyone, herself included.

Graduating in the middle of her class from WestPoint she opted to bypass the need the military presented and moved instead into Special Forces with a branch of the FBI, hoping to work her way up to one day return home and create some semblance of life. Her driving force behind her career choices was the disappearance of her sister and the devastation it brought her family. She’d forever look for Allison in the faces of people as they passed by her, her goal to find something to close the case for good if even for nothing more than a peace offering to their mother.

She performed well within the Special Forces, spending 5-6 years bringing down hardened criminals and locating various syndicates across the United States. With the news of continued struggle coming from the dwindling few left in Justice, California, her commander gave her the opportunity to serve there or head overseas to her next mission. With little choice and lots of heart she decided to move back toward her place of origination and call in a few old friends to shift the odds in Justice for the good guys.

The offer on the table is one full of challenge and focused on victory.

Appearance:

Background: Lina, being one of the older witches in the Shade’s covenant acts namely as a leader amongst the group, her only fault being her curiously unapologetic nature. She grew up in the fold of the shade, one of the few offspring to be brought up directly by her father and given the ability to learn a few of his dark secrets.

Magical Element: Fire

Magical Abilities:
Lower-level: Conjuring the Flame - Lina is capable of calling fire forth from her palm with every little effort, the ball she's capable of creating can light the path before her as a large flashlight might be used to do and even hover above her for a short period of time. She is able to throw these balls of fire at an enemy and catch his clothing ablaze. Its about the size of a large grapefruit.

Medium: Ring of Fire - Lina can use more of her strength to create a ring of fire from her mouth, eyes and fingertips, the blaze surrounding those she chooses in a ring of fire that lasts for a sustained period of time. This is often used to trap her victims and put those she wishes in fear and peril.

High: Melted Hearts - Lina's touch is warm and welcoming, the fire from her heritage rocking through her veins, but be careful. Her fingers can move from warm to fiery hot as she slides them into your aorta and lets your heart beat for her. If kept there long enough she can whisper a spell that will warm you from within. Too bad it will leave you breathless and dead as well.

Weakness: PM’d this one.

Additional Info: Lina is not able to be completely submerged in water or she will lose her abilities for a few minutes which is seemingly enough to remove her as a threat.
