As Asura drew himself back from his latest attack a sudden presence on his body made him blink for a moment. A dire rat just landed on him and was starting to attack him. "Cheeky bastard." He growled out, his tone low and agitated. He obviously wasn't afraid of the rat so he reciprocated by "melting" down into a kind of thick puddle. Surging up he made to clap around the rats head as hard as he could.

Hit or miss there'd be a loud wet clap and he'd pull himself back together to send another attack at the dire rat. He wouldn't even bother trying to dodge its attacks, melee against melee he needed the rat close. It was faster than him but it had no safe angles to attack from. Every time it'd go in for a bite or scratch he'd lunge in that direction to slam into its face.
Asura was surprised when another system message came up about him doing another skill! His body got more stable as he rolled deeper into the cave away from the cave boss and the goblins bonfire. He rolled around until he was on the other side of the main water source in the cave. His red and orange body was easily seen by anyone looking for him but given he was a slime, could they take him head on?

Once he figured he was safe Asura reverted to his man-blob form, it was much faster and easier now given his new skill. He'd have to try more complex shapes later on when he was actually completely safe. That means the goblins had to go since they were clearly the 'predators' of the cave. But he needed to get something to give him an edge. He couldn't use equipment like goblins could. So he shifted over to a large rock to practice using more force in his attacks.

Asura's mostly liquid body wasn't exactly ideal to use as a weapon. Again he tried to anchor himself with his pseudopods to pull himself into an attack while simultaneously lurching the rest of himself forward. He'd class himself as a warrior tank and all warriors in the video games tended to learn some sort of power attack fairly early on.
Asura continued to try and make his only attack more powerful. The anchor worked but he had to figure out how to move his liquid form to make the impact hit at maximum velocity. It was like winding up for a haymaker but also not quite. Humans are roughly seventy-three percent water but they're stupidly solid. This jelly body is hard to work with... He thought as he 'splatted' against the rock again with a liquid thump.

One of the lizards from the mook council approached and gave the slower two a warning that goblins and something bigger was coming. "Stay out of melee range, you lot are squishy." He replied before things got started with the lizards. He looked to the other slime who was still just a blob. "Sink or swim, time to get rolling." He stated before he lost his slime-man form and seemed to turn into blob.

He was already getting good at changing and morphing his body. He wasn't an expert but making and maintaining his blob-man form was good training. Now in blob form he was able to firm up a smidgen but not enough to actually keep a sphere. He's more like a flat tire but still he was able to start rolling away. Just not as fast as he wished but it was faster than the pseudopods and his undulating motions earlier. Despite fleeing he kept an 'eye' on the lizards behind him in case one of them needed assistance from a tank.
Asura watched the lizards interact with the still unnamed green slime. They weren't hostile but were in fact welcoming. This didn't make him lower his guard at all, this was how sales people got you before they robbed you of as much as they could. He stayed nearby but he didn't actively move towards the lizards, sole pixie, and the other slime. If he was needed the green one could yell for him. For now he examined himself. He got a new skill, Blunt Resistance 1! Considering most of the enemies in the cave were probably unarmed he imagined not much slashing or piercing being done.

Still as much of a tank as he could be it didn't hurt to get a higher attack capability. He had already attacked before, all he had was his body. He didn't want to copy the green slime, never mind the fact he never was one for ranged combat. Moving over to a rock he thought to himself for a minute. All he could do was shoot out a pseudopod or shift himself in such a way that he used his full mass. He tried going with the second bit. Shifting his liquid self back and keeping an 'anchor' to pull himself forward into the harder hit. This would be so much easier if he had picked goblin, at least they had arms and legs damn it...still maybe he could get something out of this.
Asura simply shook his head when the other slime talked about killing goblins with the new move. "Most likely not. Unless you get help." He stated, knowing they could actually use items which probably boosted their 'stats' beyond typical monster capabilities. When Green went to start shooting again Asura leaned into the flight path of the empowered stones. Taking as many hits as he felt he could before retreating out of the way.

A quick shift and a Healing Herb was devoured. Leaving him with eight herbs from his original ten. He wanted to see if one herb would fill his hit points completely when near death. If he wasn't healed to full he'd munch another herb before following after the Green slime. Neither slimes had introduced themselves, but maybe that was to prevent any emotion if one died? For some reason the other slime approached a group of fanged lizards that were doing...something.

The red and orange slime stayed back a bit, keeping a safe distance between himself and the lizards despite one of them acting amiable. It could be a trick, although Asura couldn't really do support given his lack of ranged capabilities.
Asura was surprised his slime body could carry so many herbs. His memory of various games always had healing items set to either nine hundred ninety nine, or simply nine. Ten was a good number and since it was held within him and not some backpack or belt pouch he could attack or dodge and eat one when necessary. But since they were plants he knew they wouldn't last forever and it'd take time for them to regrow, so he shouldn't just eat them all willy nilly.

That's why he took as many hits from the rock projectiles as he could before eating how many were necessary to return to full hp. "Can carry ten herbs." He burbled out to the other slime. Unsure if he discovered their carry limit on the plants. A brief blink and he was struck by an empowered shot from the other slime. That one actually hurt a bit, not the typical stinging or dull presence of getting hit. His 'arm' came to rub at the spot where he was struck but he was okay.

"That one hurt..." Asura gargled out. He was kind of curious how a being with no nerves actually felt things. Maybe that was just the magic of this world? If he ever got to the Demon King he'd have to ask. For now though he braced himself to be shot some more.
I'm wary of nothin XD Kharne is a good tanky guy (the only thing kinda scary are tank busters.)
That's not very scary...
Kharne listened while he walked as Quinn explained Dolton's code for helping blighted people. Well he technically fit, being unfairly treated given his race. Kharne's huge thick tail swept towards the rogue lazily, a little harmless test of the boys agility while they moved and he walked on his hands. It wasn't long before the reached the war room and Grey almost immediately began to talk to the lizardman.

The paladin-like man explained the situation, which earned him a shrug. "I don't mind going, just to get a feel for this new world." He replied before folding his arms across his chest while Grey told him about either staying or leaving. "Personally I'd rather not stay here, or in the village outside. If there's a forest type area nearby I can make a shack or something there. Doesn't hurt to be nearby and help if needed." Kharne said. He was taking a sort of middle ground. Not staying in the immediate vicinity but not shying away from helping if asked.
Kharne gave a derisive snort. "By blighted you mean those who aren't human, right?" He questioned before turning his attention to the suddenly appearing cleric. They could probably teleport anywhere they wanted within the guild zone. "Just Kharne, if I wanted a title I'd have joined a guild." He stated before tilting his head slightly. "I'll give him my answer when we get to the war room." He stated, keeping things simple.

Quinn piped up, getting the lizardmans attention once more. "Might as well come along, he might have orders for you." Kharne said before going to follow the cleric. He honestly had no real desire to stay within the castle nor the village surrounding it. He had always been a nature person, even in the real world his work was always somewhere out in the wilderness. He followed the cleric, his long stride allowing him to keep up easily despite his unfamiliarity with the surroundings.
