Kharne had been caught off guard when he had been frozen somehow. He burned almost twice as hot as the average human, and yet he had been stiffened just like the rest. Magic at play of course, because it was always magic. He watched the strange creature end a soldiers life with a blade on its arm, and then absorb...something, from the body. Life energy? A soul? He didn't know but it finally turned its sights on him. After of course new growths appeared, which meant it fed on something after it killed someone. It started to approach him now, albeit slowly, was it taunting him or was that just how slow it moved?

A faint voice was heard then warmth returned to his body, S'venia had released him from that icy prison. Kharne planted the tip of his giant sword in the ground and leaned against it, feeling drained. "Feeds on what it kills...white, wispy, red crystal might be its core..." He growled out as he glared at the Butcher. "Blade in arm, probably both..." He continued as one of the others fired bolts from a crossbow at the creature. Which resulted in negligible or no damage. After a laughing fest from the creature of course, because why would it feel threatened by so few when it takes out platoons at its own leisure.

It performed some strange magic, which revealed the crystal it hid, and returned the scout commanders bolt. Although it had rebuilt and improved it. S'venia was the one who said incoming, so Kharne moved out of the way as his strength returned to him. It didn't take long, he had always recovered quickly. Probably because of both of his heritages. The shortest of the group had made a construct out of water, which mimicked Kharne/Butcher and had an agile looking shape.

Standing up straight, Kharne rolled his head which cracked his neck. His sword was brought up to rest on his shoulder before he started to walk towards the Butcher. Those crimson eyes scanned the creature, looking at its exposed muscle, clearly he was watching that to predict movement as he approached. His free hand, which was his armored arm, was kept loose as he got within striking distance of the Butcher. It hadn't moved yet aside from retaliating to Cyterius. He was testing it to see what it would do but was fully prepared to block or parry its blow when, or if, it attacked.
I'm kinda just waitin for the gm since I'm not interacting with anyone
We still alive? o.o
Kaze was a very uncomfortable dragonoid right now. He was crammed into the far back of the hover bus on the uncomfortable floor. Whoever made the thing hadn't the material that could hold up over two thousand pounds in a seat form. There were familiar faces, and some unfamiliar. Eira had vanished ages ago after that kiss, and Claude was still alive thanks to the faculty of the school. He had warned her he was strong and she got to feel it first hand.

He watched the molten girl try to encourage a feline over. Said feline was one of the students, he could smell her human scent through the feline musk. "Check the ingredients of your peanut butter. Some brands hold things toxic to animals." He said to her. His voice still as weird as ever, as if three to four people were talking at once and each one had a voice deeper than the last. Looking up towards the front of the bus he fluttered his wings slightly.

"Are we getting close? This ride is not fun." He was clearly not comfortable on this metal futuristic rig.
Asura took note that he gained a new skill and that the system was no longer complying with him. System, list off all permissions I have. System, what's my Stamina percentage? He thought, trying to get more information. He also wants to see how much Stamina he had recovered with that Stamina Furnace. All this vagueness was bullshit and he wasn't going to have it anymore. Even if he had to find the system data base damn it!

Still though he felt a bit better, no more HP Drain. He'd have to learn to do that eventually, it'd be insanely useful for a Slime. As they traveled he noticed the vegetation becoming scarcer. So he rolled over the closest stuff like yellowing grass, dead leaves, he even took in some grit to see if he could get something out of it. Ardur spoke up about making camp, which made Asura stop for a moment.

"I can make a burrow for the lot of us if the ground is more rocky and less sandy. Digging is easy when you know what you're doing." He said, unfazed by the fact they were out in the open. There were plenty of stones for him to weave through to avoid being hit by long ranges. Mother Slime could follow suit, but Steve might have the hardest time since Ardur could fly.

Asura listened a bit more before 'shrugging'. "Observe when I fight it. I have good defenses, you guys can swoop in if it looks like I'm having trouble." He stated before pausing for a moment. "I forgot, I've been messing with the System this whole time, turns out we're in a party. You, me, Mother Slime, and Steve." He explained as the group moved slower now. No need to rush to get anywhere.
Kaze raised an eyebrow as Alfy spoke. "You dove off the mountain and faceplanted in front of my shop." He stated, he felt if she had lived on that particular mountain her whole life she'd have known the composition of what she was standing on. Then the girl started moving again. "That's not to the forest, kid. That's the way to town." Kaze said, palming his own face now.

Sighing the mountain of a blacksmith thumped along after the girl so she didn't wreck anything. Or anyone. "You have a very poor sense of direction..." He muttered to her, shouldering his axe as the pair walked. A strange pair they made, a grim giant and a peppy shorty.
Asura growled internally at the systems message. They were doing so damn good to. System, what are requirements for Unavailable Skill: Better. He thought, trying to word things a little differently. He did acquire a skill though, one that would be useful later on in combat once it was ranked up some. Outside the cave the goblins were distracted by something.

That something was making a rustle, stip steppin, and the quiet rasp of metal on leather. Yeah it was time to leave, they couldn't contend with even low powered humans in their condition. "Relax...keep quiet and lets go. We're to weak to do anything right now except observe... He whispered to Mother Slime, Ardur, and the Spider Monster. As quietly as he could he moved West.

Away from the smoke, the goblins, and this rustling sound. While they moved Asura continued to try and get that burning tingle sensation back, and if he got it he'd be trying his damnedest to make it 'burn' hotter. It felt like it was all mental games and that wasn't necessarily his strong suit. He was incredibly direct and straight line thinking.
Do we have a discord for this? o.o
Kaze was sitting atop a small crate, weapon in hand. Sparks flashed along the blade while a soft rasping sound emanated from the steel. He was running a whetstone along the simple, but large, blade while the ship docked. Most of the grew and other hunters had stood, but the large man did not enjoy being on ships. Whether it was sand, water, or air. Sturdy flooring but strange movements weren't his cup of tea, but he hid his discomfort well as the ship pulled into the dockyard...port...whatever people called an airship landing area!

Standing up he sheathed his sword, stuffed the stone into his hip-pouch, and followed along behind the others as they got off. They were met with an excitable elderly Wyverian. The guild master wasn't out currently so the short man in bulky clothing trotted off to find him for them. Such a strange fellow. It feels like the older they get the more energy they have... He thought to himself. The other hunters, another man and three women, started to talk.

"Slay them quickly and efficiently. Do not prolong pain and suffering if we're to actually kill them." Kaze rumbled out, his voice deep and rumbling like distant thunder. Flipping the faceplate of his helm up revealed off-white colored facial hair, dull gray eyes, and sun-darkened skin. His own baggage was non-existent. He came as he was, armor, weapon, a few basic items in his hip-pouch, and the clothing on his back.

"Lets hope this new place has some interesting creatures..." He stated, stroking his beard once before starting to move into the city. They weren't told to stay at the port and Hunters tended to find their own way as they went.
Kaze glanced up from his work, putting the blade in a dark looking liquid that immediately caught fire. A wave of his hand and the flames were put out. "If you plan to explore you'll need another person. This is the 'easy' area." He said while he pulled the coals out in the furnace. Spreading them so they'd cool faster but leaving a mound to start it up easy later on. His tongs sunk into the oil, pulling the scimitar blade out and setting it off to the side. It could stay soaked in oil, it was good for the metal.

Setting his leather apron off to the side he reached over and snagged up a Battle Axe. The heavy two headed weapon felt right at home in his hands. "You're not exploring the wilderness by yourself right now. There's more monsters than usual about." He stated as he closed the door behind himself. He left the door unlocked, no one in town was a thief. But he did have an magical alarm set and he had a teleport to get back if needed. For now he went with Alfy, no need to let the girl get banged up trying to get shiny stuff for the smith.
