a vanguard is played in the front row center circle known as the vanguard circle this can be any card grade 0 to grade 3 and grade 4 in special occasions that we can explain later. Each player starts with a grade 0 unit (usually one without a trigger effect) face down in their vanguard circle this is your starting vanguard. then each turn you can perform a ride where you take a unit from your hand and place it on top of the unit in your vanguard circle this unit can be either one grade higher or the same grade as the unit currently in the vanguard circle.

Brief History: Akira is the son of one of the shop owners on campus and so he gets a scholarship. Akira has always loved the game and is very proud of his dads shop and works there when not attending school functions or classes. HIs mother was an avid cardfighter and tragically died in a car accident but before passing away she gave Akira her deck which he still uses in a slightly modefied form. Now at age 17 he attends one of the most prestigious schools for Vanguard a game his whole family loves.
Personality: Akira is a bright and fun loving person he loves his friends and Vanguard he tends to slack off in class but performs well in tournaments and in cardfights. When it comes to girls Akira tends to be shy and oblivious.

Cardfight Vanguard: Cray Acadamy

Welcome students and faculty alike to Cray Academy. Here students will be taught the game of Cardfight Vanguard to both enhance their skills and learn the game. The school will be open to both veteran and new players and monthly tournaments will be held as well for all who wish to participate. We have shops on campus so students can enhance their decks year round. The school is broken down into six dorms which in turn are broken down into sub dorms. Each dorm is based on one of the nations of Cray and the sub sorms are in turn based on the clans of that nation.

Students will be required to wear uniforms to all school functions uniforms consist of a white dress shirt or blouse a Blazer/Sport Coat to match the primary color theme of your nation and a matching pair of slacks or a skirt finished up with black dress shoes and ties that match with your nations color scheme. Each uniform will also bear and embroydered insignia of their clan on the shoulder of the left sleeve and the flag of the nation on the shoulder of the right sleeve, the schools crest will be embroydered over about where ones heart would be.
