Time to go on semi-hiatus. I'll reply once in a while when I can find the motivation, but until then, I need a break.

Thank you Siaya Dragalorn for creating the banner/header!

Hey, welcome to my profile. I've been writing since I was a kid, and it's something I'm very passionate about. I'm not sure what else to put here, but don't hesitate to reach out if you think we'd hit it off. BTW, I'm an adult, so I would prefer to write with people closer to my age.

Seeking: Not...sure...
Limits: Romance-wise, nothing explicit. But I'm pretty lenient for everything else (within reason).
Reply status as of 1/13/24: Getting back to a decent pace.

Kili had tripped twice, but he had been helped by his godmother. Thanking her breathlessly, the youngest kept along with the rest of them.
Despite his size, Bombur surpassed them all.
"Hurry!" Thorin urged them along, and once they reached the shack of a house, they burst inside with only seconds to spare.

As quickly as he could, Kili moved to push the door shut. The monstrous bear attempted to push his way inside, and there were panicked yells from the company until they overcame Beorn's strength and won. With the door now shut, everyone sighed in relief.

"What was that?!" Kili had never known such a creature to exist. Beorn larger than any bear. Immediately, he searched Saeril's face, as he was trying to ensure she hadn't hurt her leg anymore. When it came to injuries, Kili could be a bit paranoid when it involved someone he cared about.
"Well, yeah. Did you think I was raised by wolves?" Ghent was starting to wish Axel's theory was his reality. Leaving a pack of wolves would have been a lot less painful. "I have parents here...I owe them a lot."
The circumstances behind Ghent's adoption had never been kept a secret. The Preston's weren't obligated to take him in, but they did, and they had always been good to him. When it came to family, Ghent lucked out, and the possibility of never seeing them again made his heart ache. Once again, Wonderland was making life difficult for all involved.

Elayra's interest in the phone was amusing to Ghent. The device he took for granted was completely alien to her. In Ghent's opinion, Wonderland sounded primitive; Elayra was missing out on all Earth had to offer.
"Girls your age are obsessed with these. They look at the screen and can hardly put it away...it may be a curse of some kind." Keeping a straight face was proving difficult; Ghent's comrades were easy targets. After Elayra was through with her inspection, Ghent pocketed the phone and settled for playing it cool after he sensed her bitterness. "Don't worry, Princess. I'm not turning you away. I'll figure this out. Always do."
Was he being too bold? Probably. Ghent was yet to master the art of shutting up.
"Enough of that, though...I've got 24hrs, and so do you. When's the last time you two ate?" Ghent could be a pain, but he wasn't heartless. Judging by appearance, they'd been on foot for the majority of the day.
Oh my goodness. I'm cracking up right now!! I can't envision anything more scary than that!

Bilbo looked to Gandalf curiously, surprised that he could guess so easily. "Y-yes. But bigger, much bigger.”
Bofur was liking this less and less. “I say we double back.” There were murmurs of agreement, but Thorin spoke up.
“And be run down by a pack of Orcs.” They didn't have many options here, though Gandalf did mention a house where they may take refuge.
“Whose house? Are they friend or foe?” Thorin questioned, and then suddenly a loud roar ripped through the clearing. "Run!"
"We lived in a castle?" Ghent seemed to repeat everything in a question of his own. First Wonderland, then magic, now a castle. A castle sure beat an apartment. If they'd lived in a castle, then that meant...no. That wasn't possible. Was it?
"Hold up. Am I royalty?" The news was going to Ghent's head, but he stopped. If he was of royal blood, he would have been addressed in a more respectful manner. Drust referred to him as 'boy' twice so far. This was not how one addressed a prince. The realization may have been disappointing, but Ghent was far from discouraged. Magic was nothing to sneeze at.

"Alright, maybe not." Ghent declined the notion on his own, but he hadn't abandoned the idea entirely. Elayra had lived there too, so she may have been a princess. "I'm going to take a shot in the dark here and assume you're from a royal family," Ghent started to speculate out loud, but his phone put the theory to a halt. The ringtone was embarrassingly loud and festive; no one had bothered to change it from last Christmas. Great.
"Don't make a sound!" Ghent signaled them to be quiet as he fumbled to answer. All of this must have looked bizarre to his current guests, but he didn't have time to explain.

"Hello?" Please don't be Henry again.
"Ghent? Where are you?" Mrs. Preston sounded anxious. "Are you still with your friends?"
Ghent kept Drust and Elayra in his line of vision. "You could say that." They'd been friends at one time, after all. This was not a lie, merely a method of survival. "I know you were relying on me to pick up the milk--"
"It's alright, sweetie." The news of Ghent being with friends was a weight off of Mrs. Preston's mind. "Your father picked up a gallon on his way home. When will you be back? Henry is busy alphabetizing our movies, isn't he darling? Have you eaten yet?"
"Oh yeah, just darling. I'll be a while." Ghent was conflicted, and his loyalties were split. Wonderland needed him, but so did his adoptive family. "Not yet, but I will. I have to go, okay? Don't worry about me, I'll text you later."

Goodbyes were exchanged, and Ghent felt less enthusiastic than before. The phone call was a reminder of the people he had on Earth, and the damage he would cause by leaving this world behind.
"Er. That was my mom." Ghent held out the phone so they could take a look at the device if they so wished to. "We talk through this. It's kinda like magic, I suppose. Cool, right?" Explaining technology was not his forte. "Guess I should've asked this earlier...but how does the portal work? Can I come back after we save Wonderland?"
Just got onto my computer so I could see (my phone doesn't load images very well). I love it! On my monitor, it's not so blurry; kind of adds to the effect, if you ask me. ^~^ What program do you use?
Night fell over the world, and the company had been on the road for the majority of the day. It had been decided that Bilbo should scout ahead, and scout he did.

Bilbo peeked over some rocks on a high ledge, his breath in his throat. Azog and his Warg Scouts were along a plateau not far away, and they were obviously hunting down the company. To the hobbit's relief, they continued on their way. Finally, good news for once.
The feeling of relief did not last.
Bilbo heard a snarl from the side, then ducked to conceal himself. To his astonishment, he witnessed a large bear watching Azog from another pile of rocks, snarling softly. Bilbo scrambled away just as the bear roared, the sound echoing across the plains.

Kili kept by Fili and Saeril, joking occasionally and asking questions as per usual. "Bilbo certainly has been a while, hasn't he? Do you think he's alright?" As if to answer his thoughts, Bilbo has made his way down the rocks to where the company had been waiting.

Dwalin moved to question him. “How close is the pack?”
“Too close." Bilbo was out of breath, and white as a ghost. "A couple of leagues, no more, but that is not the worst of it.”
Dwalin remained unphased. “Have the Wargs picked up our scent?”
Bilbo shook his head, exasperated that he was continually interrupted. “Not yet, but they will; we have another problem.”

Kili checked that his sword was in place. "What kind of problem? Did they see you?"
Bilbo ran a hand through his curly hair. This was all very stressful. "No, that's not it."
If he hadn't been spotted, they weren't in danger. That was Kili's logic, anyway. "Fine job, Bilbo. You've proven yourself the perfect burglar one again!"
Bilbo could take no more of this. “Will you listen- will you just listen? I'm trying to tell you! There is something else out there!”
That's so weird that you say that, because I do like Tauriel with Legolas. Their relationship would make way more sense. Honestly, if PJ had gone with that route, I think I would have accepted her in the films. Just stay away from Kili.

Sounds great!
We made it movie two! :D

Any ideas for this? To be honest, I am not a fan of Tauriel and I do not ship her at all with Kili. .__. I always felt that this aspect ruined many key moments that could have and (should have) happened. :/
It really took away from the brotherhood and it was just...ugh. Idk. I also feel like it'd rob Saeril of her godson quite a bit!

So, do we write her out or keep her? You're the GM so I won't protest too much (lol) I just figured I'd mention it to see your opinion.
Kili could not believe that this was the same uncle who so vehemently hated elves; he hadn't expected this, and it was apparent that no one else had expected this public apology, either. Not only had Thorin apologized, he'd shown her gratitude, and both occurrences were very rare indeed.

Thorin nodded once to show his respect, and in passing he clasped a hand to Kili's shoulder to show that all was well. The mountain was off in view, a silhouette in the distance.

"Is that what I think it is?" Bilbo neared the edge so that he might see, and at the same time, a thrush chirped and flew by.

Thorin had noticed too, and a light smile crossed his face as he looked to their home. “We’ll take that as a sign. A good omen.”

Bilbo returned the smile. Things had turned out far better than he'd anticipated. Thorin now accepted him and Saeril. Their journey was close to over. "I do believe the worst is behind us."

Kili smiled warmly to Saeril in order to see her reaction to Thorin's change of heart. For the first time since they'd left Bilbo's home, no one was at odds. They'd all learned to prove themselves and they had all worked together in order to survive. "I believe Bilbo is right...the worst is behind us," he told her happily, and then Thorin waved for them to follow. They still had a deadline to keep, but they were making good time.
