Time to go on semi-hiatus. I'll reply once in a while when I can find the motivation, but until then, I need a break.

Thank you Siaya Dragalorn for creating the banner/header!

Hey, welcome to my profile. I've been writing since I was a kid, and it's something I'm very passionate about. I'm not sure what else to put here, but don't hesitate to reach out if you think we'd hit it off. BTW, I'm an adult, so I would prefer to write with people closer to my age.

Seeking: Not...sure...
Limits: Romance-wise, nothing explicit. But I'm pretty lenient for everything else (within reason).
Reply status as of 1/13/24: Getting back to a decent pace.

"Aw, you didn't have to leave your place for that, Sarah." Prompto offered her a sympathetic look. He had no idea Sarah's home was on the ranch, he merely assumed there was another trailer on the property, and she'd rented it.

"Appreciate it, though! I know Ignis will, too. If we can get Noct out of bed...maybe we'll have a chance of leaving early," he laughed lightly, sliding the strap of the camera over his head. "But I wouldn't count on it."

When Sarah referred to the stars, Prompto started to look up when he felt her hand take his. "Huh? Where are we going?" Like a curious puppy, he allowed her to lead the way, unsure what she had to show him at such a late hour. Were the chocobo chicks up to mischief again? It wouldn't have been out of character for them. Amused by the thought, he followed her around the barn to where the ladder was propped up against the building.

"Bugs, yes. Heights, no." Prompto chuckled, keeping on the ground until he was sure Sarah made it to the top safely. If she lost her footing, he wanted to be sure to cushion her fall. After she got to the roof, he climbed the ladder and accepted her hand up. Thanking her, he moved away from the edge, surprised by how soft the section of roof was. It was covered with hay, providing a comfortable seat in which they may view the stars in all their glory.

"So this was what you were up to." Prompto smiled knowingly at the girl, relieved she hadn't been out to practice shooting on her own. Drawing his legs to his chest, he looked up at the sky for the first time that night, amazed by how brightly the stars shined. There wasn't a single cloud to block the view, nor were there any lights to interfere with their beauty.

"Wow..." Prompto breathed, awestruck by the sight. "You never see stars in the city...not like this."
My favorite character is Tidus, but I am open to any of them, really. :) They're all great characters in their own ways.
Hello! We have similar interests and preferences. I'd be interested in something, although I'm not sure what quite yet. xD Maybe we could discuss something? You seem like a nice person!
Heh, I'm glad. I'm sure he wouldn't appreciate the comparison, but I like to tease my characters sometimes.

The pattern looked like the top part to a medieval style dress. Come to think of it, it could have worked for Elayra. Maybe I'll find the rest of the pattern during my closet clean out!
Speaking of Elayra...I had a dream with Elayra and Ghent in it. They were at a high school, I think, in a lunch room and they were arguing about who got to sit at which table. Then I woke up. I have no idea what inspired that, but it was in character.

Thank you kindly for the songs! I enjoyed all of them! I'll be saving those, they fit the season very well too. I think my favorite was the Finding Alice one. It wasn't dark, but it had a nice beat. The last one, that was a trip and a half. xD

Your current countdown gif (the one with the black cat) reminds me of a smaller, less evil looking shadowmire. I think it's the slinky body.

Before I forget...Axel's bio is up!
I put him underneath Ghent's for now. It's not much, but I'll add more as we go along. Just that small bit took me a long time, though. I promise the effort was there! x'D Oh...and I haven't decided on a last name yet, but I'll add it in when I think of one. I almost put Preston, but then I remembered Axel's mom is Elise's sister, so they wouldn't have the same last name because Elise is married to Frederick.
"Well, I forgot." Ghent responded huffily. Elayra's nickname for him wasn't anything new, but in that moment he was especially defensive because he feared the name fit. He couldn't remember a single focus word. "I lack control, but I've only tried twice."
Ghent didn't need to defend himself further. Upon hearing the news, Drust came as close to a smile as Ghent believed was possible for him. The knight seemed pleased that he got the magic to work, lack of control or not.
While Drust explained, Ghent gave the knight his undivided attention. Rather than ask for clarification, he pretended to follow along when he didn't understand what was being said. He nodded at the right times, and rubbed his chin to appear deep in thought.
"Conrare," Ghent repeated carefully. He found that the name rolled off the tongue a bit easier than the previous focus words. He was on the verge of asking what a 'dangerous whim' could entail, but Elayra spoke up.
Basically? Ghent scowled at Elayra's use of the word. There was nothing basic about this! Her summary of Drust's explanation didn't make things easier, it made things worse. How could he imagine something he couldn't see? Too much this, too little that. So much could go wrong, and Drust was watching his every move.
The nod was a signal to get moving. Ghent didn't want to move, he wanted to vanish.
"Guess that's my cue, huh?" Legs feeling like lead, he passed the two and stopped in front of the locked doors. The gate was the chalkboard, and he was the clueless student. He didn't know where to start.
Reaching up, Ghent ran his hand along the impressive maze of metal, stopping when he came to the center. If one was lucky enough to own a physical key, this was where he believed it would go. This was what he needed to focus on.
Palm resting against the lock, Ghent closed his eyes. He tried not to think about his comrades watching his every move. Having an audience was unnerving, especially with Drust. Drust didn't seem the type to give second chances.
A single stray thought could turn a harmless act into a disastrous whim.
Ghent closed his eyes tighter. Worrying about Drust wouldn't open the gate. He began to think about what needed to be done. He envisioned the magic, and the lock. He imagined the doors swinging open to allow them through.
Out of nowhere, Ghent felt a sharp jolt. It was stronger than before, like a wave of energy rushing up from his hand into his very being. If the magic behaved differently in Wonderland, Ghent feared the consequences. Something could go terribly wrong if he wasn't careful.
Ghent started to chicken out. The feeling was incredible, but he couldn't help but feel afraid. What if he was doing it wrong? He started to lower his hand, but something stopped him from going through with the action. They needed him to do this. He had to do this.
Taking a breath, Ghent made another effort to feel the magic as Drust suggested. There was no doubt in his mind that the magic was there. It became impatient, awaiting his command. The longer he waited, the more unstable the feeling became. Eyes snapping open, Ghent's fingers stretched over the lock. His thoughts were all over the place, he couldn't contain the magic any longer. He had to get rid of it. "CONRARE!"
"Sarah!" Prompto skidded to a halt. One step more and they would have collided a second time.
"I was just..." He began to explain his reason for being out on the property so late, but his eyes landed on the camera before he could finish.
"Hey, you found it!" Prompto couldn't have been happier to see the camera, chocobo feathers and all. "Thank you so much! I was starting to get worried." He laughed at Sarah's explanation, relieved to have his beloved camera back. "Really? Well, if they snapped a selfie, l can hardly blame them for taking it!"

When the topic suddenly changed to his pajama pants, Prompto looked down. After leaving the trailer in such a hurry, he totally forgot he was wearing his pajamas. "...Oh! Um...I bought them at a souvenir shop on the way here," he explained, cheeks reddening with embarrassment. He was glad that Sarah was in her pajamas as well. At least this way, it wasn't too terribly embarrassing. "Couldn't resist!" He laughed again, more so from nerves than humor.

"So...what are you doing out here so late?" Prompto wondered, finding it odd that Sarah was the only one awake besides him. "Don't tell me you're sneaking out for late night shooting practice." Although he was joking, he wondered if it was true. What Sarah did was her own business, but because of the increase of daemon sightings, he wanted to make sure she wasn't taking any unnecessary risks.
This is tempting. I'd be interested, although I haven't won FFX yet. ;; I'm just about near the end, though. ^^'
"Heh, yeah. Looks like it." Prompto glanced back to the trailer, his gaze landing back to Sarah. When she bid him goodnight, he felt a little relieved. He wasn't sure how to part ways without making things awkward. "Right...well, see you tomorrow!"
Overhearing the voices, Noctis didn't bother looking up from his phone. He recognized the footsteps of his friend, although Prompto seemed to be dragging his feet more than he usually would. Raising an eyebrow, Noctis cleared the level of Kings Knight and eyed the blond with a hint of suspicion. "Something wrong?"
Prompto looked up from the ground, startled out of his thoughts. "Oh, no! Everything went great! She caught on really fast." He smiled to show things went smoothly and pulled up a chair across from the prince. "She's all set for tomorrow."

After dinner was over, everyone got ready to turn in. Prompto changed into a red tank, along with a pair of pajama pants. The pants couldn't have been more fitting for the ranch; they had chibified chocobos printed all over them.
Exiting the bathroom with a toothbrush in his mouth, Prompto reached for his phone on one of the small kitchen counter tops. "Anyone up for a few rounds of Kings Knight?"
Noctis started to respond when Ignis interrupted. "I'm turning in, as should the rest of you. We have a big day tomorrow and will need our rest if wish to have a successful hunt."
Prompto grimaced, but he couldn't argue with a mouthful of toothpaste.
The camper was crowded. There were four bunks, which was more than some had. Gladiolus was asleep on the bottom right, Ignis claimed the bottom left, and Noctis took the top right. Finished with brushing his teeth, Prompto climbed up to his own bunk and played a few secret rounds of Kings Knight under the covers until Ignis scolded him.
"Sorry!" Prompto didn't even question how Ignis knew he was playing if the volume was off. Ignis always knew.
Shoving his phone underneath his pillow, Prompto rolled on his side and closed his eyes. Try as he might, he couldn't sleep. He couldn't help but think about Sarah and the fun they had together.
A gentle breeze from outside filtered in through the lower window, as did the occasional sound of a car passing by on the road. Prompto continued to go over what had happened that day. His collision with Sarah, the baby chocobos he'd photographed...
Wait. His camera. He'd left it outside! Sitting up a little too fast, Prompto smacked his head on the ceiling. "Ouch!"
Miraculously, no one woke up. Wincing, Prompto rubbed at his temple and dropped down to the floor. He had to get his camera. Tiptoeing to the door, he slipped outside and headed to the stack of crates he left his camera at. To his disbelief, his trusty camera was no longer there. Prompto felt his stomach sink. He wasn't envisioning things -- he set his camera down before he went to go shooting with Sarah.
"Maybe somebody moved it." Fearing the worst, Prompto tried to convince himself otherwise. Swallowing back the panic he felt, he started to hunt around the ranch, taking care to keep quiet.
A time traveler. Now that would be interesting.

“Shame, isn’t it?” Her glare turned into a smirk. “You actually used to be cute.” I definitely laughed.

Ooh! You've never said so, but that's the perfect outfit for her! I'm saving that image to use for when I draw her. I love references! Even better that it's a Simplicity pattern. xD I found one of those the other day while I was cleaning.

Let me know if you find any good music! I'd love to add them to my writing album.

Two days until October! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
Ghent blinked in surprise. He never took the time to consider Drust wasn't human. This made him even more intriguing. He studied the man with growing curiosity, wondering how old the knight was if fourteen years did little to change him.
"Used to be?" Elayra's remark distracted Ghent from guessing Drust's age. He shot her an unamused look, placing a hand on his hip. "Ha-ha, very funny. So, what you're trying to say is that I'm handsome now?" This wasn't the best time to make a claim on having good looks. No sleep, followed by a day in the rain and a trip through the portal left Ghent looking so disheveled, Miles looked dashing in comparison.
Turning back to face the gate, Ghent waited to see if Drust possessed a magical key of some kind. He nodded in response to Elayra's comment about his lack of memories, his gaze lowering. "Yeah...I guess that's true." Doubt crept its way into his voice. Deep down, he wanted to remember his parents. Anything was better than nothing.
It soon became apparent that there was no magic key. If there was, Drust couldn't find it, because he was showing signs of anger again.
Without missing a beat, Ghent slipped behind Elayra. He hated to imagine what his former classmates would say to see such cowardice, but he wasn't taking any risks. Elayra had a sword, he didn't.
"What's the problem?" Whispering so Drust wouldn't hear, Ghent watched from the safety of his human shield. When Drust looked to him, their eyes locked, and Ghent wanted to sink into the ground. His magic was to act as the key.
"Me?” Nothing like being put on the spot. Thoroughly intimidated by Drust's eerie gaze, Ghent wished Elayra would volunteer in his stead. When she didn't, he ran a hand through his hair, further making a mess of his appearance.
“Uh…well, okay! Sure!” Rubbing his forearm, Ghent stepped around Elayra, approaching the locked metal doors with reluctance. Now that he actually had to do something, the gate intimidated him all over again. It felt more foreboding, just as it did in his dreams.
"Is there a special spell I should use?" Ghent's heart was beating so loudly in his ears, he was afraid Drust and Elayra would hear it too. "Just making sure. I meant to crack a window, but I almost flattened a store. It's been a little unpredictable."
