Time to go on semi-hiatus. I'll reply once in a while when I can find the motivation, but until then, I need a break.

Thank you Siaya Dragalorn for creating the banner/header!

Hey, welcome to my profile. I've been writing since I was a kid, and it's something I'm very passionate about. I'm not sure what else to put here, but don't hesitate to reach out if you think we'd hit it off. BTW, I'm an adult, so I would prefer to write with people closer to my age.

Seeking: Not...sure...
Limits: Romance-wise, nothing explicit. But I'm pretty lenient for everything else (within reason).
Reply status as of 1/13/24: Getting back to a decent pace.

As the title hints, I'm hoping to write something using the Sea Salt trio {Axel, Xion, Roxas} or the Wayfinder Trio {Aqua, Terra, Ventus}. As much as I love the Destiny Islands trio, I've written for them in the past and wanted to try something new.

I would prefer this to be 1x1, unless the group is organized, I find it can be complicated to role play that way.

Quick snippet about me: I'm a patient, laid-back writer who wishes to improve through practice. I'd describe myself as friendly and down to earth. I find my best role plays have included ooc chat of some sort (so we can plan things and get to know each other better) but it's not a requirement. Please read my limits/writing information to see if we'll click.

For the role play itself: since the world of Kingdom Hearts is so massive, we'd have to discuss things such as which characters we want to include/play before I can begin cobbling a plot together. (A collaborative effort for the plot would be great). The possibilities make my brain hurt. Rather than solely focus on Disney characters in this RP, I thought it'd be cool to include Final Fantasy characters and visit their worlds too.

Of course I'm okay with that, I welcome it! It helps me be aware of my mistakes, therefore giving me the information I need to correct/improve things.

For the comments: thank you! I wanted to do a better job of that this time around, since I didn't give much of a view into what Ghent's adoptive parents are like. I'm glad you like Mr. Prescott! I like him too. And, yeah. Stress-free day? I don't think so. :P

For the suggestions: Wow, this has opened my eyes. I never knew when it was appropriate to add a break, I just figured I would do it as an easy way to end a scene. I'm awful, I know. xD Thank you so much for explaining that, and adding examples too. I'll be sure to keep this in mind when I do long posts that require breaks.

For the transition from dream to reality, that's awesome! I can see how that would make the scene stronger, and easier to read. I'll keep that in mind, too. I haven't written for dreams in ages either, so this will help me for when I do that again.

Ah, my old nemesis...the passive voice. I catch myself doing that ALL the time, and I'm not sure why. Thank you, one hundred times, for explaining and giving me examples of other options. I do see the difference, for sure. Now I can't wait to put your advice into practice!

And..."that". Guilty as charged! "That" and "Then"...I don't know why I use those so much. I'm going to try to improve on all of this, thank you so much for taking the time to give me constructive criticism, and writing tips/examples. It makes the challenge of writing a little easier. As always, if you catch me doing any of this, or making other mistakes, let me know! I can't tell you how much I've learned from you. :D

Lydia's eyes narrowed. She knew that sky, mischievous grin of Ava's.
"What are you up to?" At the mention of passing by Jason's house, her cheeks reddened. Ava was the only one who figured out her secret crush, and therefore the only one who got to tease her about it.
"So?" Stooping, she pretended to inspect the lace of her boot and proceeded to retie it. "That doesn't mean he's there," she insisted, tying off the knot with more force than necessary. "He's probably out on that stupid motorcycle of his!"
As if to answer the statement, the rev of an engine could be heard half a block away. Lydia's heart rate didn't return to normal until the sound grew steadily distant, indicating the rider was going in another direction.
After a pause in which Lydia tried to decide if she was disappointed or relieved, she ran ahead a few paces and fell into step alongside her friend.
"Just for the record? I'm one-hundred percent over him," she waved her hand across to emphasize the point. "I couldn't care less if his house is on the way or not. He's never home!"
That made me smile so much! The fox happily playing with the toy he stole was adorable, and the dog barking angrily cracked me up.
After watching that, I imagine Margen playing too. How stinking adorable. I feel the need to hug something now. ^_^

For my reply, let me know if you would like it to be altered. I'm not sure if I wrote too much without giving you a chance to respond with your characters. I try never to do that, but sometimes it's hard to judge.
Ghent’s eyes shifted, the commotion of the nearby battle diverting his attention. Repeating Smaya's promise in his mind, he gripped the handle of the dagger tighter, focusing on Drust once more. He continued to hold the knight hostage, inwardly sighing at Elayra's less-than-enthusiastic response to his efforts.
"At least pretend you're glad to see me," Ghent grumbled to her, stiffening at Drust's reply. The icy, dangerous sound in his tone made it clear he was not intimidated nor willing to comply with the demand.
Before Ghent could muster the courage to respond, Drust reacted.
The agility of the man didn’t seem possible. Shouting in surprise, Ghent made a move to stop him, but Drust had already shoved Elayra and retaliated with a kick impossible to dodge.
The kick sent Ghent sprawling backwards, creating a few paces of distance between them. The force of impact hurt, but it didn’t compare to the feeling of having the wind knocked from his lungs. He managed to sit upright, leaning forward as he gasped for breath to return.
Staring down at the dagger he managed to retain, Ghent's mind spun. He wasn’t a stranger to a brawl or two, but this was different. This was Drust. Armed or not, he didn't stand a chance.
Dropping the weapon against the ground with a gentle clink, Ghent decided to try what Elayra failed to do. He needed to make Drust listen to reason.
"DRUST!" Between gasps, Ghent shouted to get his attention. He wanted to keep the knight's attention away from Elayra. "LISTEN!"
Hoping Drust wouldn't go in for a second strike, Ghent pushed himself up to stand.
"Elayra's right, this isn't you," he paused, studying the feral appearance of the man driven mad by the Curse. "Well. It kinda is. But...you're worse than before."
Stealing a paranoid look behind his shoulder, Ghent faced him again, keeping Elayra in his line of vision as well.
"J-just listen, okay? I found a tichari. He'll lead to the nearest Safe Zone, and the guardian of the forest promised to help with the ghosts." Ghent spoke hastily, wishing to get his message across to the madman before it was too late.
"If you give in to the Curse...we'll never make it out of here. It isn't too late for us to work together."
Heya! Our preferences/limits are very similar. I'd be interested in your Sickness plot, or Final Fantasy, if you're still open to those. :3
Using Smaya's promise as his source of motivation, Ghent made progress in freeing himself from fear. The freedom offered his mind the ability to focus on what he needed to, granting him an escape from the between world.
He shivered involuntarily, the cold chill spreading from his spine to every part of his body. Leaving the ghostly realm was working far sooner than he expected it to.
Any inner peace Ghent experienced was disrupted by the return of the voices and whispers. Distressed by their pain, Ghent pressed his hands against his ears in a futile attempt to block them out. He couldn't feel what they felt, but he could still hear their suffering, and that was almost just as bad.
Reminding himself of Smaya's promise, Ghent took a deep breath and lowered his hands. He couldn't dwell on the dead anymore, he had to worry about the living. Elayra needed help.
As the voices mingled and changed, he became increasingly disoriented. He didn't feel himself move, but he felt as if the world was reshaping itself around him. It was a strange, bizarre sensation, somewhat similar to how it was when traveling through the portal.
Elayra's voice cut through the darkness, her tone different than what he was used to. She sounded distressed, or at least close to it. The words weren't directed at him, but someone else. Ghent shivered as another chill raced down his spine. Drust was definitely conscious.
Ghent was afraid, but he didn't open his eyes. He wasn't ready. He was hardly an expert on how the Spiritayum worked, but his inner voice told him he wasn't where he needed to be.
Eventually, the earth seemed to fall away from him, replaced by the familiar roughness of entangled vines and grass.
“You. Know. Nothing!”
Gasping, Ghent's eyes shot open. Drust was awake, angry, and armed.
The knight stood across the clearing, sword in hand. His form blocked Elayra from immediate view, but Ghent knew she was there, cornered and pinned with no means of escape.
Ghent’s stomach knotted. Keeping Drust in his line of vision, he moved his hand across the ground until his fingers brushed against cool metal. The dagger he dropped before entering the Spiritayum was still there.
Fingers wrapping around the hilt, Ghent rose with shaky legs, adrenaline pumping. He could hear the scuffle between them. Elayra was trying to push the madman away.
Time had officially run out. There was no time to think, there was only time to act. Ghent’s first steps were wobbly. His sneakers barely made a sound as he moved forward, his pace quickening with each step.
Inexus. The focus word crossed his mind, but Ghent pushed the thought away. The spell was too unpredictable, and he didn’t think Elayra would appreciate being thrown again. Magic wasn't the answer.
As Drust lifted his arm, Ghent sprinted toward him in one last, giant leap. From where he landed, he was in range to stop the knight. At least, that was his intention. He was hardly a match for Drust, but that didn't stop him from trying.
In a single movement, Ghent wrapped his arm around Drust’s upper arm in an attempt to stop him from bringing the weapon down on Elayra. The difference in height was inconvenient, but the action was doable, even if Ghent practically had to stand on his tiptoes in order for it to work. Using the same hand, he pointed the dagger up towards Drust’s throat.
"Alright, DROP IT!" Ghent pulled back on Drust's arm tighter, the blade he gripped moving half an inch closer from the movement. "I'm serious, Drust!"
Boom! Both guns went off at the same time. Prompto could hardly believe his eyes when Deadeye fell to the ground with another heavy thud. The force of the monster's body sent a whoosh through the clearing, the fog vanishing into nothingness.

"We did it..." Prompto mumbled, disbelief evident on his features. He waited for Deadeye to spring up again, but the beast didn't move. After Noctis confirmed that it was dead, Prompto breathed a sigh of relief. "Everybody okay?!"

Ignis offered Gladiolus a hand up. The burly man grumbled, his greatsword disappearing from his grasp. "Just peachy," he responded, frowning once he was on his feet. During the attack, he landed wrong, earning him a sprained ankle as a souvenir.

"We have a long walk back." Ignis stated pointedly. Nothing went by him, not even the smallest injury.

"Been through worse." Gladiolus didn't seem bothered. Taking care not to put weight on his left foot, he moved to rejoin the group, brows raising when he saw Sarah on the ground crying. "She alright?"

Prompto knelt beside her, concern etched onto his features as she thanked them. At first, he worried she had been hurt. "No need to thank us. You helped too, you know!" he offered her a hand up, a kind, gentle smile on his face. "You did awesome!"

Noctis nodded, his weapon disappearing last. "Not bad for a beginner," he admitted, arms folded. "You did good. All of you."
Prompto yelped, a chunk of rock whizzing past his head and shattering into a wall of sleet behind him. When he looked to see where the projectile came from, he saw Deadeye's tail connect with the rock underneath Sarah's feet. The sight turned his blood cold.

"SARAH!" Prompto hoisted himself over the collection of rock he'd been using as a shield.
Even as he ran, he knew he wouldn't make it in time. He was too far to save her.

Several feet away, Noctis witnessed the hit and Sarah's fall. He was even further than Prompto, but he had something the marksman didn't. Magic. The magic granted him the ability to warp ahead, allowing the prince to cross a considerable distance within seconds.

Dashing forward, Noctis seemed to flicker out of view, then reappear, directly underneath the girl. His arms were ready to catch her, and not a moment too soon. With a light thud, he caught the girl before she met the ground, earning sighs of relief from all present.

"PROMPTO! Snap out of it!" Gladiolus' voice broke through the clearing. Beads of sweat had gathered on the man's forehead, his agitation increasing when he saw the blond standing right in the center of their current battlefield. He couldn't remember a time Prompto had been so distracted -- but then again, they never had a fifth member to worry about.

With a grunt, Gladiolus swung his greatsword in a high, upright motion. The height of the sword was enough to reach Deadeye's underbelly. Blood pouring from the gash, Deadeye roared again, thrashing and stomping until his tail smacked into Gladiolus and sent him sprawling back into a cluster of rock.

Seeing this, Ignis leapt backwards to avoid meeting the same fate. Deadeye dipped his head down, saliva and blood dripping from his lips. He looked ready to snap Gladiolus in half.

"Prompto! His left eye!" Ignis shouted, urgency in his voice. He whipped one of his daggers into Deadeye's flank, but Deadeye was too focused on the still-immobile Gladiolus to react.

Hands shaking, Prompto aimed for the left eye, and shot.
"Nice!" Prompto grinned cockily, well aware that Sarah was responsible for piercing the beast with a bullet. There hadn't been an opening for Deadeye's eye yet, but it didn't hurt to get as much damage in as they could. The blond took aim as Noctis landed next to him, sword in hand. "Gladio landed a hit on Deadeye's left leg--" the words from the prince faltered as the crack of a gun sounded, followed by the whizzing of a bullet going over their heads, and into Deadeye's bad eye.

Another loud roar, followed by Deadeye whirling around. His tail acted like a whip, swinging down at both Noctis and Prompto.

"LOOK OUT!" Gladiolus yelled from across the clearing, but the warning came too late. Prompto lunged to push Noctis out of harms way, but both males were hit and sent flying from the impact of Deadeye's massive tail.

Yelling out in surprise, Prompto landed hard, his body skidding backwards from the force. His gun flickered out into nothingness, as did Noctis' sword. The prince landed a little more gracefully, though his clothing was covered with dirt from where he fell.

Sword reappearing, Noctis gasped as Deadeye charged a second time. "Prompto! MOVE!"
Winded and dazed, Prompto just barely managed to scramble to his feet and dove behind a smaller rock formation in the nick of time. Deadeye's huge paw slammed into the ground, leaving an imprint in the earth.

Cursing underneath his breath, Gladiolus ran in and swung his greatsword across, slicing into Deadeye's shanks. The monster roared again and spun around, smacking his tail into a wall of rock. Rocks of varying sizes shot in every which direction, a larger piece missing Ignis by only a foot.

Prompto's heart thudded in his ears. He sat up so he was looking over his makeshift shield, quick to take in the situation and status of his friends and Sarah. Brows knit with determination, he flexed his hand, his gun reappearing. Pointing the barrel at Deadeye's face, he waited for an opportunity to shoot his good eye.

The opportunity never came. Another loud roar, and Deadeye's tail slammed into the rock where Sarah was positioned.
