While they get free homage, protection, and freedom to do as they choose as long as they don't hurt others? Why of course.

Edit: Most of this doesn't even matter in the grand scheme of it, does it? It's all about numbers and math, in the end it's about destroying the others and becoming king, ya? :/
If anything I tried to make Solterra an under dog. A young Lord, who's only swayed those around him by his words and his strength in the small and few battles he's been in. Solterra is not a hotshot, nor is he an amazing and outstanding man of honor. Also, if no one noticed, Keep Middlesbrough is not a warring fief; a.k.a. Solterra will never involve that fief in a war or create soldiers from it. The Guardians are there to protect the people, and it's virtually unruled (Being "unruled" meaning he doesn't actively give commands and orders to the people, letting them live freely, which is why it's so huge). The Guardians merely keep the peace and protect everyone that lives there.
Not exactly black and white at all. You can be sinister but not evil. You can even be lawful but not "good."

I did try and not to sound insulting, sorry I failed, I'll just back off from the topic.

And how do you define alignment? I'm going to assume you don't mean the DnD scale of Good-Evil and Lawful Chaotic. Politically, they're reasonably isolationist, but are looking to at least do some trade with nearby people. They are also traditionally in support of the overlord, though that does not necessarily reflect the people's opinion.

I do, partially, mean the DnD style. Also, how deeply routed are your people in their culture? And by that, I mean how strong are they to fight their culture is the culture.

Sorry to interrupt your vikinging, but I'd like to post my nation sheet. Worked the last three days straight on it, and have finally completed it. I tried to put industrial amounts of flavor into it to make it as spicy as humanly possible, and I would like to believe that the math is both correct and in perfect accordance with the rules. Admittedly, I did not quadruple check them (one last time before posting), but let's just assume it is functional. All said and done, I present to you: I added my preferred map location to the application.

I don't want to sound insulting when I say I didn't want to read a book (on thr contrary, I am pretty envious), but could you tell me what alignment your kingdom is?

Have you seen my sheet? I have ten daughters.

Must be breeding it up over there

I do see what you're saying, but the way the game needs to work, each fief needs to have its own manor. You're absolutely right in that castles would protect over a large amount of land, and I had thought about putting up restrictions as such, but as it's impossible to know exactly how everyone's land is going to be made up, or where I'll need to fit them on the map, it really wouldn't be fair to restrict your castles. Thus, each fief can have its own castle. The history would focus solely on the lordships and politics. Minor House details wouldn't come into it.

I do consider my Forts and Outposts as minor, not castles, they are merely border patrol and protection.

They have 67 points, do they not? As the Stouffers and Vealcooks combined have 33, then the Fishers are able to have that many fiefs. I don't see what you mean when you say that last part, since travel times dictate that it would take 18 hours to cross a fief with advanced infrastructure, 24 with improved, and 48 with basic, plus any additional time created by the number of troops travelling. Certainly not 5 minutes.

If I had the original size of my territory, each individual Fief would be so clustered together it would be unrealistic. Most castles can't be seen by another castle. An individual castle itself is supposed to be the fortress that protects land on an almost endless scale. And that doesn't mean there's another castle on the end of the first castles protection. There is even more land between that castles protected land and another castle.

EDIT: Would anyone be interested in reading a longer history of Lundland, from during the years when all the lords were seperate, to present day? I could try and incorporate everyone's histories into it as well.

Yeah, the village on the edges of both territories is gonna have some fun history, right?
(I'm talking about the village my Lord was born in, in case you forgot)
Flooby, then the Fishers have too many fiefs. I don't want it to where people walked about 5 minutes and ended up at another fief, that is extremely unrealistic.
P.S. - My men were made for a defensive siege. But because of the Fishers, shit my offensive sieges/besieges are ones not to fuck with. I could legit take control of someones territory on the first post. WITHOUT using my men. Byebye enemy walls. But no, You guys be happy I'm not an aggressive leader.
