And yes, from what I can remember, you yourself said that alpha was omnipotent. Either I'm remembering wrong, or you changed it for the sake of the rp. I'm guessing/hoping it's me not remembering correctly
> > > Yes. But that's why alpha put those failsafes. You know. The failsafes that prevent any success in destroying the multiverse. They do exist, because as the multiverse is infinite, therefore, it is possible for them to exist. > > The multiverse is prgrassively infinite, because it's constantly being created by Alpha, a primal force of creation. There are not an infinite amount of universes, they are simply being created forever. Because Alpha is a theoretically infinite force of creation, it's creating new universes at such a speed that even if you spent your entire life jumping from universe to universe, you could never catch up. > > Omega, conversely, is a force of pure destruction. It is all negative energy, it's the destruction of all things. Omega is the metaphysical embodiment of 'antimatter', which annihilates matter with contact. If unleashed, Omega would be more powerful than even Alpha, because Alpha, due to it's very nature, possesses no offensive capabilities. Isn't alpha omnipotent though? And doesn't that mean nothing can destroy it?
> > Oh hey I just realised. Since the multiverse is infinite, it can't be destroyed. > > Except if one has omnipotence, or at least omnipotent destructive capabilities. > > Omega. Yes. But that's why alpha put those failsafes. You know. The failsafes that prevent any success in destroying the multiverse. Oh hey I just realised. Since the multiverse is infinite, it can't be destroyed.

> ((If you weren't paying attention to the OOC, this is an official GM intervention message. Asura's post is rendered inert, as he performed an instakill, using a Deus Ex Machina, as well as his method of attack making no sense. Until his post is edited into something acceptable, it is to be ignored. Teo, as you have already reacted to this post, I would recommend you edit your post slightly. I like the idea of attempting to reverse-engineer 5, however, so if you want to work out a way to do something like that, feel free to PM me. My goal is not to kill you guys, it's to create a cool story.)) > > Using her foresight, Kaos had already sensed that some great force of ill will was moving. Dark omens lay in the future, and without heroes to slay the darkness, there was no doubt that the multiverse would be plunged into blackness. Her intervention had become necessary, and while it had taken a while, she had been able to predict where the Omegans would move next. It was clear they were following some pattern, although even she could not discern exactly what they were doing, nor why she could feel the strings of fate changing their course. > > As she arrived on this cold winter planet, suddenly, it was as if something burst into her head, screaming and clawing. And yet, even as she grasped her skull, gathering her will for a counterattack, she felt a strange serenity pass through her. Her vision seemed to fog and swirl, as before her very eyes, the fabric of the future and past seemed to intertwine. Thoughts and images passed through her, and she looked into the center of the fabric. There, she saw a brightness, an unspeakably terrifying light. > > Ten minutes later, Kaos awoke in the snow. Her body was covered in frost, her blood was freezing. It wouldn't be long like this before she died simply from the environment. But, despite this predicament, there were greater things to worry about. What had she seen? It was almost as if time had ceased to function, for just that moment. Something was severely wrong. > > ------------------ > > He could feel it. Pulsing beneath his feet, writhing and screaming against the pressure, the Infinity Shackle. It was here, it had always been here, every single time. Beneath him, the snow moved out of the way, the ice shattered and shifted, a hole forming. And, meters beneath this layer of frost, was a thick layer of steel. In the center was a trap door, marked with bolts and bars. Time and space had corrupted this place, but then it always had been. It felt like mere moments had passed since he had last set foot on that steel surface, and seen the locks burst open before him. It would not be long before he walked within. > > Soon, balance would fall, and the entire multiverse would be devoured into eternal destruction. ((First of all, it wasn't an instakill. At least, I didn't intend it to be. It was mainly to handicap 5 so that while it wouldn't function properly, but would still function. If anything, it was more like reducing the number of nanomachines, taking away 5's ability to use soular energy as a means of attack, and still allowing it to at least remain a floating cloud of nanomachines, albeit smaller, and not so dangerous. I outright said that kaos DIDN'T destroy the swarm. So no. Call me stubborn, but I won't edit it. Second, again. Future sight. Failsafes. Planning ahead. You had a char with future sight, you know how it goes. Plus even if kaos couldn't figure out the pattern. There's still two other hekate sisters that can. I would say three, but circe's not exactly the smartest of the four. But, since I kinda want to limit how effective kaos' future sight thing is, I'll at least let the space-time thing happen.)) Asura looked on. Not noticing kaos fall. He was going to handle toguro, but seeing he was preoccupied, Asura shrugged and flew towards genocide
> The buzzing of tiny machines grew louder in volume, as the presence of the arcane killing machines rapidly amplified. More and more souls seemed to enter the area, as if an entire army had gathered itself before Kevin. He could feel them in the air, surrounding him, hundreds of lifetimes, whispers driving into his mind. Flashes of white rooms, great black ships, a group of blue humanoids, singing in strangely melodic tones. Stories of another place and time, collected, being shown to you through the sheer psychic power of these souls' combined might. And even as he began to realize the true nature of the opponent he would face, it manifested before him. > > Billions of tiny devices locking into one another, forming large structures powered by Soular energy. legs formed, before an abdomen and chest took shape. Arms extended from the central mass, skin and clothing rapidly covering the mechanical insides. Last to form was the face, covered by Kevin's own mask. He stood before a carbon copy of himself, resonating with unfamiliar power. Kevin had of course heard of the schools of Soular magic, as many mages utilized it across the universe. It took many shapes, concentrated into many different forms, and given many different names. But there was one story he'd heard he was about to personally verify. > > The most aggressive form of Soular energy is lightning. > > Pulsing in each hand was a ball of crackling energy, as if ball lightning had been captured within them. One bright green, the other bright red, both puled to completely different rhythms, and yet complemented one another perfectly. A flow of energy across the entire form, the unity and balance of Soular frequencies, the highest level of Soular manipulation. Fused with the art of force manipulation, the power that flowed through other living things. 'You should not have come here. Your happiness to fight, your anger, it will be your downfall. Your past will return to haunt you, I would know.' It was Kevin's very own voice that spoke. > > Bolts of lightning struck near Kevin, the massive sheets of ice cracking and melting, telekinetic and electric power intertwining into a single blow, launching Kevin several meters back and covering him in burns, making use of the temporary surprise. This was no normal lightning, it was the manifestation of Soular energy. And in it he could feel... love? It was as if even as his flesh had been scarred, he had been injected with happiness, a weight lifting off of his mind. Paradoxically in this situation, he felt.... safe. > > ------------------------ > > Toguro didn't move an inch, as the hammer hurtled down towards him. He simply looked up as Asura joined the fray, not speaking a word, steady pulses of power still emanating from him. Then the bright red hammer struck his head. > > With an explosive burst of power, the hammers enchantments boosted the force of the blow a hundredfold, the weight of a house smashing down upon Toguro. With a deafening crack, the ice split and smashed beneath his feet, slanting and compressing. In a space smaller than a second, Toguro was pushed down through the surface of the ice, a great crater forming around the point of impact, shattered pieces of ice being pushed upwards around it to form a rim of frost. > > Toguro still stood straight, his head slightly tilted, the hammer on what would have been his temple. he hadn't moved an inch. At the top of his skull, moving down and barely visible, was a single crack. 'useless' > > With explosive force, Teo hit the ground, his hammer flying off into the distance, skidding over the ice. Teo struck the ice and stuck, gasping for breath, his face contorting as he could feel the pressure mounting, his throat being squeezed closed, his heart being squished into a pulp. Even as his cartoon physics activated, he could feel his own energy draining away, fighting to support him, his body flattening into a physically impossible pancake. With sustained force, it would take mere minutes for Toguro to simply overcome Teo's power reserves, crushing him. > > And all occured without a smirk, without a grin, without a boast. Toguro simply stood, and watched, and destroyed. "Well, now that's out of the way," Asura chimed in "let's get down to business." --- Kaos watched on. Having already hidden her soul wavelength perfectly before joining the fray. Not that 5 would've discovered her before the damage was done, but every bit counts. She held up the device lilith had designed for just this occasion, and with the perfectly timed press of a button, sent a large jolt of soular energy directly into 5 halfway through its preparation. A moment when, based on kaos' predictions, 5 was not only at its most vulnerable, but incapable of handling a sharp increase in soular energy. Resulting in most of the nanomachines falling from the air, utterly destroyed. The other nanomachines, few as they were, had taken enough damage to at least prevent them from being as destructive as before. With that, Kaos left. Though she had not destroyed the swarm like she had been sent to do, she saved a dude from instant pwnage, severely handicapped the enemy, and just like she predicted, no one had noticed her. ((Sorry Matt, but 5 could pretty much instakill the entire group on its own. Just evening the playing field. And before you try to prevent 5 from taking severe damage, let me remind you that kaos can see the future, so she would know how and when to get the job done, and would have set up plenty of failsafes in order to account for every other variable. Such as decoys, science-based forcefields designed to disintegrate anything that tried to get in, dimensional locks, stuff like that. Besides, toguro is still up and at full power, genocide is still alive albeit wounded, I left them because 5 had taken cosmos' place as the annoying one, and was the only champion of omega who could only be defeated with the help of mia, who is pretty much untrustworthy and sent the group to genocide's location without sending a way to deal with 5 or at the very least, render its soular energy based attacks ineffective, meaning she already failed to help defeat 5. Just saying...))
> Toguro looks back at the winged creature and the human coming after him. Another might wonder how one of them had grown wings, but Toguro was used to that kind of shit. He was a simple kind of man, he liked to hit things really hard, preferably in the face. Breaking things was what he did, it was what he was good at, what he'd always been good at. This whole protecting thing, it just wasn't his deal, he had no way to protect Genocide during a fight. 'Get back, I'll deal with this.' > > You see, Toguro was very simple indeed. He liked simple solutions to complex problem. The problem was that he couldn't protect Genocide from those two morons. As such, if he removed the morons from the picture, he'd be right as rain. The best part, of course, was that he got to use his speciality skill; punching things in the face. > > With another leap, Toguro moved closer to the assailants, crash landing in front of Creed and nearly crashing into Teo on his way down. He stood, unbothered by the frost, the grey surface of his hardened form covered in a thin layer of frost. In the far distance, a roaring sound can be heard, but it doesn't bother Toguro. The far more immediate problem was that these two would undoubtedly make a good fight, and there was nothing Toguro loved more than a good fight. 'Well then, which one of you little bitches has the balls to walk up first. I hope the cold's not slowing you down, because I'm not planning on holding back this time. 100%!' > > The burst of power was explosive. Toguro's form seemed to shiver, shifting and vibrating, and the ground trembled beneath his feet, as his physical strength went to 100%. Toguro's power allowed him to direct Kinetic Energy, to some degree, and turn it into both a shield that slowed attacks, and a fist that ripped apart walls. He was an indestructible wall of muscle, unbreakable by even the harshest of attacks, the paragon of the warrior. His eyes glowed with strength, a bright red light shining across his now black skin. He seemed to have formed into a different material completely, and it's clear that this would not be an easy fight. Asura looked on. As much as he wanted to try his luck with toguro, he also wanted to deal with 5 as soon as possible.....but as he couldn't exactly do that, he'd have to handle toguro for now. "Let's do this." He said as he began resonating with arachne's soul. As he walked forward, he analyzed the situation, and smiled. He knew how this was going to end. "Well now you must be toguro." Asura said aloud "you're just as I imagined."
> Mia blinked as this burst of randomness entered the room. She was sure she'd warded it against intruders, it should have been impossible to open a portal here. However, that hadn't been a normal portal. It was as if Bob had walked in, and Mia decided to act as such. It would not do to be caught by surprise, and she would have to be prepared for literally anything that could possibly happen, and that was an awful lot of things right now. > > 'Fine, let's see how this goes.' She gestures, the Black Blood within the mechanics of her computer stations causing the activation of a large portal. 'I give you ten seconds before they force that portal closed, or figure out how I'm tracking them. GO GO GO!' As the team runs towards the portal, which was already shrinking, she sits down and sighs, rubbing her forehead. Why did these people give her such a headache? She'd have to go kill a baby just to calm down. Asura ran through. He was ready, and hopefully not about to die
