Tyki, hold off on the char intro. We don't know if asura was successful in making the portal. Just saying
A blast of energy shot past Genocide, as he shouted and jumped sideways. And even as the beam of energy struck the massive white sphere in the centre of the room, it seemed to cease to exist entirely, as if absorbed into the sphere. Genocide lies on his side, his suit on fire as he desperately attempts to douse the flames. There was no doubt that the blast, had it been aimed at Genocide, would have vaporized him. And yet, he seemed to be surrounded by the mysterious energy of this area, in stark contrast to his previous state as a near nonexistence within the arcane spectrum. Now, he stood out like a neon sign, a focal point for whatever foul enchantment kept this portal-like construct open and functional. "Curse you! Can you not appreciate greatness when you witness it? It worked this time! You fool!" Genocide turns savagely, having managed to douse the flames on his suit. His eyes seem to glow slightly, a pale grey luminescence echoing like a storm. "It will be mere moments before the cycle is broken. You cannot fathom the freedom you are about to receive, as you are released from the ties of existence." As he raises a hand, the room begins to tremble, and yet stops trembling simultaneously. It's as if there were two Asuras, one standing in a trembling room, the other in a silent one. And Asura, at his core, was aware of both. Each an equal possibility, each an alternate course of reality, each existing in it's own fashion. And yet, now, they seemed to be touching each other, or rather the walls separating these timelines was being eroded. The timeline was collapsing."What good is freedom if there's no one around to enjoy it?" Asura asked stoically before firing a barrage of energy blasts at genocide....no...not directly at him. The blasts grazed genocide's arms, legs, and occaisionally his torso. Some even hit the ground at his feet. At this point, asura knew he was most likely screwed, but if this went south he still had plan b......speaking of which, Asura hid himself with his madness wavelength and moved. At this point, his expectations of getting out alive weren't very high. Regardless, he attempted to escape via portal just to be able to say he tried
From what I've heard, it's been resolved. At least that's what Wraith said.Ah. Good.
As the large door is opened, beyond it he sees a vast, open room. A great pit, surrounded by a long sidewalk. It was certainly the size of a small city, and merely walking in he could feel dampeners closing on his power. The walls were practically covered in sealing runes, and he could feel a form of magic completely unfamiliar to him, something that felt both out of place and strangely benign. hundreds of chains lined the walls, handcuffs currently hanging above the abyss, holding nothing in their grasp. It would be clear to anyone with half a brain that this place was a prison, and judging from the power of the wards erected here, it had been meant to contain a being of truly immense quantities of power. In the centre of this great cell hovered a massive orb of white light. No, not quite white light. It was like staring into nothingness, the lack of existence, a hole in the very fabric of the universe. And yet, Asura had seen holes in the universe, they led to the Void - the realm in between Universes. This was different. It felt immensely wrong, twisted, as if it should not exist. This was not merely a hole in the fabric of the universe. It was as if he was looking at a hole in the fabric of.... everything. Time, space, thought..... the very concept of existence torn to pieces. Outlined by the bright white light shot out by the Hole, Genocide could be seen standing there, hands raised. He seemed to be channeling some unknown power, a mysterious energy that couldn't quite be described. Best yet, however, he didn't seem to have noticed Asura.Asura hid himself with his madness wavelength and took aim at genocide with vajra.... and turned his head slightly and fired an energy blast not intended to kill genocide, but to graze his arm and distract him
Far below the surface, was a series of winding passageways. Long and deep, covered in the corpses and restless souls of the fallen. A city, no, more than a city. A subterranean civilisation. And yet, everything was reinforced. Everything was stocked with weapons, some so far from known weaponry it was unrecognizable, besides it's purpose. A military base, spanning the entire inside of the planet. It was almost as if a space station of unimaginable size had simply stopped moving, and frosted over, it's resident struck by some unimaginable catacylsm. Was it one of their many weapons that had killed them? Was it the robotic servants, still partially operational, their ripped apart bodies now strewn in the wake of the Mad God? Was it perhaps the dark aura of magic that had been responisble for their destruction? Whatever had been the cause, Asura could feel little sympathy as he raced after his prey. From the moment he had entered he had felt something was.... off. Something wrong, something that did not belong. It was beyond evil, beyond morality in any form. It was unnatural in the purest sense, something that should not exist. It was disturbing, to say the least. Any civilisation responsible for the creation or study of such a..... wrongness.... would clearly meet disaster sooner or later. As Asura reached a lower floor, he could sense that he had nearly reached the planet's core. After nearly half an hour of flying down at his maximum speed, slaughtering the weakened robotic servants on the way, he was approaching whatever had cast such a terrible aura. The blast doors became rapidly heavier, and he could sense the remains of powerful warding spells. And yet Genocide seemed to pass through them with ease, dismantling them as they came along. Perhaps this was his capability, the reason he had been sent down here? The ability to destroy any ward? Eventually, Asura stood before the final barrier. A great blast door, forged from unknown materials, enchanted heavily. Whilst the arcane enchantments had already been removed, the door itself had been shut behind Genocide. Somehow, his opponent had already managed to pass through them, because he could feel Genocide's presence ahead. Furthermore, he could sense an increase in the wrongness, a power radiating from it. Whatever was in that room, Genocide was doing something to it. And it wouldn't end well."This is looking less and less like a walk in the park." Asura sighs as he opens the door with his skin scarves, regurgitates vajra, and gets ready to fight
@kishin asura If you recognize it as confusing, then why not change it to make it easier on everyone?I......have no idea....
