"Peter......" Gwen murmured, looking at him with those sad eyes she always had when she saw Peter hurting. "You....... you want to respect my father's wishes....... don't you?" She asked him, her hair falling in her face as she began to cry. "I-If you want to leave P-Peter, then do it........ I've been pr-preparing for this day to come....... I know you want to protect me....... but I don't want you to leave...... although if that's what you want....... I'll respect your wishes......" she said, practically shaking with each sob. Her body eventually gave out on sitting up and she collapsed l, knowing that this could quite possibly be the end of them. Her mother walked into the room, seeing Gwen like that and fearing the worse had happened. She grabbed Peter's ear and dragged him out of the room, looking at him angrily as a mother would when their daughter had just been broken up with.

"What did you do to her?! Do you know what you just did!? She was about to give up all her dreams to be with you Peter! She hasn't stopped talking about you since you got together with her! She wanted to be with you forever! She had no one else on her mind but you! She even came in one morning talking about having kids! She's never talked about kids until now! And you had the audacity to-" Gwen's mother said before she heard Gwen calling out for Peter. "Oh...... You two didn't break up....... did you?" She asked, her face growing red since Gwen had told her to never tell Peter about what she felt for him. "Forget I said anything! She told me to never to tell you that! She'll be furious if he finds out! Please, promise you won't tell her! Please!" Her mother begged, not wanting to upset her daughter further.

"Shut up Peter...... You didn't do anything wrong......." Gwen mumbled, her eyes slowly opening so that her eyes met Peters. "You never did anything wrong Peter....... My father was a police officer, he knew he was going to die at some point....... I don't blame you, and neither does my family...... Your not to blame Peter, the Lizard is, and so is Tim........ They did this, not you....... And I won't let you forget that your innocent for as long as I live....... I love you Peter...... And that will never change!" Gwen said, lifting her bandaged head up so that she could kiss his lips even though the rest of her body didn't feel like moving. But she stopped, swallowing as she knew she needed to tell Peter what happened before hand....... What Tim had done to her to try and get his way with her.

"Peter....... Tim has been....... Hitting on me the past few weeks....... He insisted on me going out with him, but he didn't accept that I was going out with you and only you....... So I think he got mad at you for supposedly coming in between me and him...... I didn't tell you because I thought you'd get mad....... Please forgive me......." Gwen said, feeling guilty and her face showed it.
