Current I am Klomster, i have no status.

Bio

Known primarily as Klomster, both on the net and on real life.

I really enjoy roleplaying and do so every weak, preferably twice in two different campaigns. Sometimes even more.

From time to time i've done some forum roleplaying with mixed success. I've tried GM-ing with even more mixed success and all in all, i find forum rp's enjoyable. Hence why i joined, hoping to play some forum rp's and OWN at it. (Or something.)

I have an erratic thought pattern so my posts can appear as incoherent, if you notice you can just mention it if i should clarify anything.
Other than that, hey there fellas.

@ASTA The point is to create depth in the setting, and to try having fun with an alien mindset.

While it seems indestructible, i have thought of how it can be beaten.
And it's not omnipotent, not at all.

I also created the faction considering that all the other players will have powerful factions of their own, with several worlds filled with denizens whom work in many fields, furthering their races potentials.
They will have massive fleets of warships, large armies and planets filled with industry and defences.

I will be severely outnumbered, and to not risk being annihilated because i wrote an oopsie some time, i created the faction this way.
And most importantly, sure, i have large military potential. The species is not interested in conquest. Since i guess it lacks the concept.

And this is a initial draft, if the gm doesn't approve i'll change it until it works.

And don't worry, i have no intention of going.
-"Mah speehs ship is so massively awesome, it goes to the cat peoplez and PEW PEW PEW. Cat peoplez deadz. Lulz!"
The faction will have some sort of mission within the galaxy. That will need the interaction with the other species.
Sometimes through force, but mostly with diplomacy. Which won't be this factions strong suite.
I shall then strive to make my ancient as interesting as possible, so i can play it within the campaign.
Do note that i will not be playing in the same way as the others, which i did plan on beforehand. Just so people aren't confused about how my faction/race works.

Also, i will write the info hidden. So that if you want to as a player, can not know how my race works so it's more of a mystery.
I think it would be more fun that way :)

Please tell me what you think Keyguyperson. If the race lives up to your expectations, and if there is anything that should be tweaked.
I will also Pm you a question.
When/if the race is approved, i will add it to the approved races and try to figure out my introduction.

Also, is there an official update time on this? Like every day, or once a week or something. Just so i know so i don't post too much/too little?
I will post my final idea into the character tab. Since i haven't decided if i want to play the bugs in this campaign.

Since i got another idea.

You may decide which one you'd rather see. Bugs, or the ancient.

The plan was to be a mysterious entity of space, whom (with difficulty) could become a powerful ally in a war.

The ancient idea enables me to actually interact with other civilizations, and move with a purpose.
This and the bugs are horrendously under-powered compared to the other races.
I mean no spaceships, the hives while efficient at taking over eco-systems have little to bring in a larger conflict with an organised military.
OKi, i'll just copy paste this one.

Oh, the bugs are the second idea. Grim and all that stuff.

The first idea was the glorious empire of the Trymg, with UFO's (Unexpected Flying Object) and dropships. Whom look as age of sail wooden ships. And are in fact armoured in.... wood.
Trymg are armed with Lazors, and are small peanut shaped things with suction feet, and speak in adorable chirps.

Trust me. They are silly, but perhaps i could enter them into a not so serious rp sometime :P

But fun stuff aside, i'll post up "the hive."
Note that this section is directly copy pasted from the old thread, and as such include an diplomatic leader character, since this was required in the last rp.
While it can perhaps be useful at a later stage, that character will not exist from the beginning.

I will put the text up hidden, so you can check it out, if approved i can modify it to better suit this rp. :)

Reading this you will notice some things are not fitting. But i imagined a single pod crashing down on my starter planet, the pod having travelled from a distant galaxy (and thus with no hope of contacting them) but begins its natural process of reproduction.
This will result in me having a humble start.

If you don't like this idea though i can remove it. After all, the specie needs to fit the setting.

Interested in hearing what you think.

Edit:I just noted a flaw in this races design in this campaign, since they lack proper technology a lot of things will be negated to them. Like interstellar communication. And i'll have to come up with some reason the pods can travel between planets in a reasonable space scale speed. :/
In the original setting the race was old and established, and as such have been sending out pods for a very long time. Explaining the interstellar "travel" possibility.

The concern i have is that i might miss out on some of the diplomatic action, and should consider another species.
But for now i'm going with this.
Sooo, first post on the site here.

I was considering joining, so i gathered this is where i post my nation idea?

The initial plan was to reuse a species of bugs that i used in a game on heresy online, but which sadly died from disinterest.
So i could simply use it again :D

The race only space capability is seeding pods, so why the empire starts small is logical. Since it starts with a pod landing on an uninhabited planet.
The race is in my mind an ancient race, but isn't overly coherent, so this new world would have nothing to do with any previous planets or expansions. Since the pod might/probably originates from outside the known galaxy.
Or i just modify it and have it newly emergent.

I was considering using my first idea, but since you didn't want silly species i'll keep it to myself.
