I really enjoy roleplaying and do so every weak, preferably twice in two different campaigns. Sometimes even more.
From time to time i've done some forum roleplaying with mixed success. I've tried GM-ing with even more mixed success and all in all, i find forum rp's enjoyable. Hence why i joined, hoping to play some forum rp's and OWN at it. (Or something.)
I have an erratic thought pattern so my posts can appear as incoherent, if you notice you can just mention it if i should clarify anything. Other than that, hey there fellas.
However regarding voice chat i'd suggest against it for my part. I am at a different timezone (gmt +2) so i would be out of synch probably.
Also, more importantly on my part, i tried voice chat during an arma 3 event. I completely froze up and couldn't get a word out. I find it MASSIVELY uncomfortable to voice chat, especially with random people. While i could give you my skype address, i am never on and even if i was on, i'd never say anything and i'd just feel massively awkward :( So i'd rather decline that part. Nothing against you guys, but i can't voice chat, not even with a friendly joking group. Guess it's my asperger or something. :P
So if it's possible to not join the skype i'd prefer that. If not i'll have to decline this rp.
Name: Ha Nicknames/Titles: lord of the forge, master of arms, steel personified, chivalry's father.
Gender: Ha sees himself and holds the form of a male.
Age: About 11'500 years old.
Base Appearance: static.giantbomb.com/uploads/original/.. Ha, has the appearance of a massive knight clad in black steel armour, told to be taller than the tallest pine in the forest, he wields great strength in combat, but is also intelligent. Armed with a massive sword which never cooled after its forging, and never will. How Ha looks beneath his harness is unknown and non who have tried have ever succeeded to persuade him to show. Neither through words or martial prowess.
Other Appearances: Ha isn't known to take on any different appearances. But can change his size.
Personality: Ha is a stout individual, that values his solitude, he often resides within his forge and contemplate upon his next wonder he will construct. When he leaves his forge, he commands without doubt and demands the very best of each of his subjects. Failure is frowned upon and to fail Ha himself is often punished, at times even with death. He is contemplative and resourceful in nature, never rushing into a situation. Ha values honor and chivalry, and as such gives those who live by its codes the respect they deserve. Ha finds the mortals recent lack of faith an afront to deities. They would be nothing without the careful guidance of gods and they should be more thankful. Ha finds Jeno's treachery unexpected and completely abhorrent. Treason goes against Ha's moral centre and as such he thinks Jeno's fate was well deserved. Ha often likes to make a show out of things, making unnecessary statements and pretentious acts.
Preferred Field of Magic: Ha focuses on any magic which makes him more proficient at artifact forging. So while he has great knowledge in arcane magics within the areas of fire, earth, wind and raw energy and how it can be infused in objects, Ha mainly uses divine magic.
Spells/Abilities: Ha has the ability to create simple objects of war at will, weapons and armour can be created at a whim, with effort and magic he can make even larger weapons of war or fortifications of legend. He also takes little damage from heat, and blunt weapons seems to do little harm upon him.
Fighting Style: Ha is a master of the blade, fighting with skillful strikes and keeping on the offense, relying on his prominent armour for defense, he fights up close only if he has to though. He usually tries to let others fight for him as he sees himself as a general and commander.
Artifacts: Ha wields the sword "Ember" when it strikes home the blade bursts into flame making it cut through armour like cloth and bathing the struck in flames. Normal mortals cannot hope to survive its strike, although epic heroes with powerful weapons might be able to parry Ember's might. Ha also wields a runic hammer of the forge, by some told to be the greatest hammer, and named after Ha himself ,Ha-mmer. With its might, less magical resources is needed when forging magical artifacts. And its strike can shake mountains, but is unwieldy in combat.
Pocket Dimensions and Home: Ha lives in his divine forge, a massive foundry made of marble filled with all sorts of wondrous tools for crafting and smithing, Ha has gifted the understanding of many a tool to mortals. The foundry stands atop a fire spewing mountain within his small realm, which basically only contain the mountain with the forge and some burnt forest around the base of the mountain. It is said that every furnace is a gate to the divine forge, while this is an exaggeration Ha does have a great affinity to the forges of the mortals and usually acts from or near them.
Biography: At the first stroke of a hammer against the first anvil, Ha was born. Is how his followers describe him. His form gradually became that of the towering blackened steel warrior as his crafts were used more and more for war. Ha is popular with armies and generals that uphold the laws of chivalry. Knights often have Ha's blessing, albeit seldom in more than a figurative sense. More anarchistic forces tend to dislike Ha, mostly since he is always their opponent. After the fall of Jeno, Ha's image was torn between the factions of mortals. Many feared the wrothful hand of the lord of crafts, some claimed him making artifacts for Jeno, something that when Ha heard of, he himself personally smote them for doubting his honor. Acts that have had a myriad of effects upon the mortals view of Ha. But above all it reinforced the view of Ha as a wrothful and vengeful deity, someone that was quick to strike where he saw wrong. However Ha isn't nearly as wrothful as mortals think him to be, he is far more controlled in his actions and always try to justify his acts. Ha is not shy of helping those that uphold his values. Smiths, warriors of chivalry and those who command.
Ha is usually worshipped by humans.
Known relations: Ha has great respect for Alithos and supports his side on the topic of Jeno's betrayal. Ha also respects his prowess. But has seldom spoken to Alithos and thus doesn't have any deeper connection.
Ha has several times met Shugema asking him about some intricacy of artifact forging, or once or twice sought to speak with someone likeminded. Ha finds Shugema far too whimsical and not serious enough so Ha seldom seek him out. However Ha still respects his work and wisdom.
Ha knows of Geia, he agrees with many of her opinions but does not interact with her often. Her being so young makes Ha consider her less experienced than older deities and as such doesn't really expect her to manage much. An opinion he has of all young deities.
Dominion(s): Steel, forging and crafts, weapons, chivalry, walls.
His size is that of a tall man when he is in his foundry. 1,95 meters. When he treads the mortal realm, he likes to appear larger. He can at most be 4,5 meters tall, unless he uses divine magic to alter this. Which he doesn't do normally. His equipment appear as the same scale as Ha himself and therefore also shifts in size.
Ha-mmer and Ember was forged by Ha. Most legends about them are simply misconceptions. Ha-mmer is a one-handed hammer, it is beautifully decorated with flowing design. While it is told it could shake mountains it could not really do that. It's supposed to lessen the magical resources needed and doesn't hold earth shaking powers. It's probably one of Ha's shows that have given birth to this misconception.
Ha is great at making artifacts, other deities often ask him for guidance when forging themselves. But as with any deity the stronger the deity, the stronger the artifact. It also matters how much magical resources and its rarity in their forging.
Ha collects forging artifacts. He has a second, really small dimension which holds these items. A tiny little forge in a hut with a pit kiln. The hut has no outside and is dimly lit by the fire in the kiln and in the firebed. He has searched far and wide trying to find as many ancient items as possible, the first anvil, the first hammer, the first whetstone. Etcetera. He has a few very very old items, it is probable that none of them is the actual first of its kind. But Ha holds great value in them and revere them as the true essence of himself. Without them he wouldn't be.
This smaller portable dimension can be entered from his divine forge or from the place Ha thinks is the site of the first forge. Regardless if this is true, there is a gate to that place in a long forgotten and ruined settlement next to a mountain. The entire place is really shoddy looking, filled with very rusty tools and broken equipment. A few items are placed in a manner which resembles a blacksmith's workstation. Most of these tools are very damaged though. But they are very ancient.
This is Ha's true sanctum, should anyone tamper with this sacred place, he will be very, VERY angry.
I used some good old analog dice. Red ones, so the rolling went fast.
Clan type. Freeboota.
Colour. Red!
Legendary ork. Shoota.
What'd he do? Conquered uvver punyer orkz.
Gork or mork?? Mork.
Size. Enough for a proppa fight.
"Ally". Dem weird squigs. (deamons)
Enemy. I dunno wot dey be, dey's different.
Special boyz. (most) Dokz.
Best loot. Dunno, ain't looted much, boss.
And what did ya do wiv it? Da boyz dismantled it and cannibalized its bits for da mek.
This sizeable freeboota group consists of speed freakz with a high amount of dokz, the dokz love to eksperiment and thus the boyz are heavily augmented. They prefer to surprize their foes with blitz attacks from nowhere with trukkz or by rok, then unleash loads a dakka. Da morker way!.
The dokz find deamons fascinating and have tried to eksperiment with that as well. However while the experiments haven't lead anywhere, deamons usually don't attack the warband for some reason, and the warband don't attack them in fear of da dokz.
The most impressive ork in the warband was a shoota boy who krumped a lot of uvva boyz. He is known to have been dead killy and had a good amount of dakka. Not nearly enough, but not bad.
The warband is dead shooty, with loads of cyborks with massive amount of guns.
The warboss is a mad dok and a cybork, he wears 'eavy armour and a kustom mega blasta bionic arm. He also has a syringe shoota wiv loads 'o dakka. He carries a simple 'uge choppa as well. He has a squig gas powa' surga' which enables him to go into a frantic supercharged state until the squig gas runs out. He has a strangely mutated squig with no eyes, a very long tougue and wings. It reeks with smoke.
In short. Chaos affected speed freak cyborks. With loads'o'dakka. Scary.
Mechanicus forge world.
Forge world style. Unorthodox.
Product of Note. Servitors/bionics.
Special Product Bonus. Microtechnology.
Mechanicus Demeanor. Praise be to the Father Mars!
Skitarii Type. Servitors.
Numbers. Average.
This forge world is heavily influenced by the ways of the genetor, and have on a broad scale delved far into the dangerous ways of xeno research and the ways to implement that knowledge upon the human form.
The forge world focuses mainly on producing servitors, but can produce a wide range of bionics as well. What is less known is that the forge world has a contingent of enslaved Jokaero whom produce microtechnology for their masters.
The forge world holds great respect for the purity of mars, and thinks less of the Ohmnissiah.
Instead of regular forces, the forces consist of masses of combat servitors. While their numbers aren't necessarily more than a regular skitarii cohort. The ease for this world at producing more is interesting.
The forces is lead by an archmagos Genetor, with a strange assortment of experimental weaponry. (much of which is xeno in origin.) Among them a large heavy weapon that shoots green beams that deconstruct its targets and a force screen of great strength. Among a myriad of microweapons. He often lets the actual leadership tasks be done by other techpriests while he himself focuses on some new studies.
In short. Borderline technoheresy genetors with a horde of servitors and with microweapons for their techpriests.
Would have preferred to choose for myself from the options, but now it said random, so i had to wing it. I made the leaders up based upon the stats of the factions.
This is just a rough draft, i'd have to put this into the CS template of this rp for an actual CS.
All in all, i think the orkz are probably the more fun choice here. Thoughts?
Ok, i will work on the notes you've made. Also i should make a non descriptive section with his looks and some clarifications. Also a secrets section.
As with the hammer... i copy pasted some info from an rp that died, so i forgot to properly proofread some things. I guess i should clarify and think that part over :P
Also i like the idea of Ha taking the hammer... so yes >:D
Edit: Now my character sheet should be up to par. Please take another look. I've also added some stuff. People may read the 'secret stuff' hider. But it is things probably only Ha knows and thus would be godmodding if someone just found out. Of course it could be found out in game (and should be) though.
At first Metallus didn't seem to notice Tuur's remarks. But after a second or so he turned to the man and closed in and stood less than a yard from him and scrutinized him closely.
-"Probable feral worlder, barely any brain functions of note, high degree of self right. Only suitable for violent duty before inevitable death and corpse ration refinement." Metallus let out with the same low murmuring as with the gunner before.
-"Analyzing your attempt at gothic, i deduct that what i will be doing in combat situations is to tend to the machine spirits, while you purge enemies and keep me safe under your 'watchful gaze', if any foe comes to close, i plan on using this. No need for ego." Metallus menacingly leaned as he spoke, the words 'watchful gaze' spoken in a clearly demeaning manner. When mentioning 'this' he clenched his power fist in front of Tuur's face and activated its power field, making it crackle fiercely with small lightning bolts. At the same time he swirled the head of his manipulator mechandrite and rapidly closed its jaws a few times to mimic a hounds biting.
After that he stepped back, but made sure that he had Tuur within his field of vision. -"I have no interest in petty brawls, i'll let you be alone and i will be focusing on... 'my ego'." The tech priest noted to Tuur, 'my ego' spoken with a voice that tried to be sarcastic but failed.
Something i started to wonder about as i read the hiders was the artifacts. Most notably the divine ones and their need to be recharged. Me not knowing how to actually make artifacts ingame, i decided my guy could simply make just about any artifact with the right preparations. So i gave him great knowledge of magic, but he won't be able to go around tossing arcane storms or fire tornadoes. Perhaps a fireball or two but that's it. His arcane knowledge focused on making artifacts.
So i have this early draft, i'm still a bit curious about how to create artifacts.

When you say you need to randomize your faction, you put a link to the 1d4chan page. Although that page has a bunch of random gens to choose from. Does one choose which random gen to use or does one have to randomize that as well without any apparent random table? Can one choose a couple of factions and then roll off between them?
I'm a bit torn between mechanicum or orks. The machine god need to regain his influence in this forsaken sector, but den again deez gitz need a good 'ol krumpin! Yeee!
If i need to random gen between the random gens. I got an imperial knight house... in which case i say meh, didn't feel like that. (I left out the power armour and inquisitor, since i didn't feel they made sense in a nation rp.)
While i am interested in the god part (been wanting to play in a god rp a while now) i've already put a heavy interest in another god rp that's currently being built.
Not wanting to play several games of the same style, i don't know about this one. Although if i hadn't 'joined' the other one, i would've jumped right on this.
Also the only deities so far being law and sex, the world would be an interesting place.....
I just fully understood that i was in the game when i rolled my initiative, and then i had really low init so it wasn't my turn. So i tried to figure out where i fit in to all of this, which wasn't a 100% clear until... now really.
I guess you're used to keeping the playstyle loose and people drop in as they see fit. But i am not and have tried to wrap my head around this for some time. But now feels like i know where i am and what is going on, so it's fine now.
Viber's words seemingly had the same weight upon the martian priest as throwing eggs on a leman russ battle tank. If it was because of not caring or actually not understanding was up to anyone to guess.
-"I see, regardless, i have decided that your unit is in need of a mechanicum priest to properly guide the machine spirits of your squad along the righteous path of warfare. Therefore i hereby attach myself as that operator to this squad. I shall work as an advisor and perform any orders as i see fit while i provide my expertize to your men so they don't mistreat their weapons too much." Metallus informed with his classical monotone voice which seemed to accentuate the wrong words often. As he said the last part he looked with a sad gait upon the ogryn with his ripper gun.
