Smoke hung in the air like it was part of the furniture and the patrons were hardly the sort you would want to come across in a dark alley; perhaps unsurprisingly she fit in well and had quickly turned public opinion to her favour.

Was it homesickness or just a sickness of this place? It must be the latter, and it was driving her mad. A little self-destructive behaviour would help but she needed to somehow last until the night for now. She walked to the library and welcomed the familiar and constant smell of books; it could hardly rival some of the libraries she had been in but even she would concede that it was near impossible to compare to some of them. She silently stalked through the aisles, scanning the spines, trying to find anything to capture her interest.

I can imagine that, she is beautiful, she looks like royalty even when you see pictures of her dressed down, ugh, curse those with great bone structure

I know what you mean but I suppose you can justify it by saying a spy as well trained as her would probably naturally just adapt to her surroundings. I'd prefer that than hearing a butchered Russian accent.
