I am the Game Master, and this is my world.

This is the world of Earth in my universe, where I and my fellow Game Masters are the sole powers. This universe is ours to shape to our will, and those that defy us cease to exist.
In the center of this universe resides the planet known as Earth. Being the center of the universe, this blue world has a special significance to us Game Masters, and so many cosmic events shall involve or focus on this infinitesimal, yet important sphere. This is by design, not accident. Unfortunately for the planet, they know not of our existence, nor their importance in this universe. They simply exist in a world they think they control.

To most of the people on this world, everyday life does not involve aliens, supernatural battles, or cosmic conflicts. However, this is about to change, for my fellow Game Masters and I have chosen to ignite the spark in this planet as well as in other worlds. Soon heroes and villains alike, both powerful and powerless, will appear and the conflicts will begin.

Much mystery will be revealed by these noble and nefarious beings. The Lost City of Atlantis is hidden, much like we Game Masters are, however soon this ancient realm may be unearthed to the rest of the planet, to either the world's detriment or delight. Even the wondrous civilization of the Moon and beyond may choose to unveil themselves after millennia spent in hiding. Marvels both technological and magical await those who possess the fortitude to seek them out, however this would be their choice.
We Game Masters only interfere when times require it.

There is but one organization the Humans have already. This organization is called S.T.R.I.K.E., which stands for Super Terrestrial Review Inside Known Encounters, and it searches already for the unknown, yet known to us. These humans have already been preparing for the event that my fellow Game Masters and I will initiate, and soon they will be busy trying to catalog and enlist the enhanced humans and non-humans in their organization.
Will these beings join with them or spurn their offer? Only time will tell.

The sudden birth of powerful beings will urge some un-enhanced humans to harbor fear and resentment. Some will take up weapons and technology and form groups to protect themselves and their families. They may be the most powerful yet for they fight as though their very existence is at stake.

So, let the Great Experiment begin as the spark of evolutionary power finds it's way into the creatures of the cosmos. Only time will tell if we chose wisely, for even we Game Masters cannot see the future...

A host of new heroes and villains will soon make their presence felt, you can be the next legend.

Be a part of the action. Create your own superhero and protect humanity.

Or create the ultimate villain and rule us all.

The time is now, which side will you choose?

Muh gawd, this is beautiful. I probably won't join, but I'll be reading this in awe-induced silence.
I need to ask for two favors from all of you. Just for today, don't chat on the OOC. Secondly, repost all of your character sheets. I want to make a list of accepted characters in the first OOC post. This will e a lot easier if all of the character sheets are posted one after another.

Name: Sven 'Edge' WattsonGender: MaleAge: 19, though he appears younger.Parents: Unknown, though they are deceased.Powers: Edge's body, on the day of his birth, went through a unique, if not unwelcomed change. His body was filled exponentially with some sort of dark, flickering energy that turned the pigment of his skin to a pale white, giving him a sickly-tone while both his eyes and hair became rather...weird. He has control over the unique energy that has rudely housed his body, so his power is a form of Darkness manipulation. Rather, the chaotic energy that houses his body has given him a unique enhancement to all physical and mental attributes - His speed (Can run, at the most, 90 MPH. At this rate, his legs become similar to wisps of shadows, which also allows levitation/flying)His strength (Has been seen picking up full-fledged trucks without struggle - Can apparently lift more than 20 tons at max.)And his agility/flexibility/dexterity (Edge can do a lot of feats that would make even a professional acrobatic jealous) He can also use the energy in bursts and physical representation, example being slashing his hand through the air, causing a lightning-quick, almost unseeable slash of dark matter to slice through the air, cutting into flesh as if it was a knife made of corrosive, yet razor-sharp energy. He can also form blades/knives of dark energy over his hands and feet, to use as an extension of his body, or he can send out razor-sharp tentacles out of various parts of his body, along with shooting out small bullets from his fingers or mouth, almost like a gun. Along with this is the ability of treating the Darkness as a sort of catalyst, allowing him to send energy through the ground and air to use as tangible and intangible physical constructs. (Barriers, Walls, and Road Spikes).Appearance: Edge is a rather...unnatural looking male, appearing at the average height of 5'10 with a lithe, almost frail frame that hides the sinewy muscles underneath his unnaturally pale skin. He has slight bags under his eyes, from going days upon days of not sleeping. His hair is an obsidian-black, falling limply down his neck and head in spiky, feathery locks. Though his eyes are usually covered by stray strands of hair, they are obviously a deep black, similar to his hair, with the supposed whites of his eyes an obvious black as well, while his posture is deliberately slouched. Usual clothing consists of a half-mask, black in color, that resembles a surgeon's safety mask. He wears a tattered, sleek hoodie that looks as if it was a straitjacket before (Made of tangible darkness - Semi-resistant to most blunt and piercing weapons, while slashing threats will only damage the immediate appearance of the hoodie.), along with loose white cargo's and soft leather boots. A bag is slung over his shoulders. Filled with what? No one knows.Personality: Edge has always been an apathetic and calm individual. He doesn't involve himself socially too often unless the situation proves the need to be, and even then he is very calculating, always observing the situation at hand and picks the best route to go about without having to expend too much effort that isn't needed. When he is with the Darkness, and no body else, this is perhaps when he is most at peace. Has been known to show extremely sociopathic qualities; a dark, gory sense of humor, no empathy nor sympathy, and seems to relish in other people's pain. Has the tendency to occasionally break out in evil chuckles, and if one were to look under his mask they would see an evil, sharp-toothed grin that would chill most to the bones.

This is all interesting, and a good picture of how powerful he will eventually be, but not on the first day of school, ok? I'll allow the use of all of his powers, but the attacks aren't particularly strong yet, and his other powers require extreme concentration.
((It was quite interesting))
And now I require sleep.
IC is up.
Flood, as a returning character, you're automatically accepted.
The sun rises over the gleaming steel roof of the Academy's main hall, while the ring of a century-old bell echoes loudly over the crowded school grounds. Bruce Wayne, AKA the Batman, strokes his salt and pepper beard while gazing at his new students through his office window. "After last year's fiasco, I'm glad the Academy is operational once again. I can only hope that the new recruits won't turn out like the last ones." A knock at his door interrupt's Wayne's train of thought. He quietly says, "Come in, Mr. Brock."

Johnathon, the son of Eddie Brock, strolls confidently into the room before dropping into the seat across from his principal's desk. "You wanted to see me, Mr. Vengeance?" he asks with a slightly smug grin on his face.

"Did I tell you to sit down, Mr. Brock?"

The smirk slides off of John's face, only to be replaced with a more fearful look as he slowly stands up. "I'm sorry for the disrespect Mr. Wayne. Did you need me?"

Wayne nods as he stands up and turns to look at all of the new faces once again. "As one of the only returning students, I expect you to step up and be an example for your new class mates. I'm not asking you to be their friend, but I do expect you to make sure they know their way around campus and what's expected of them. Understood?"

John sighs, "Oh this is just great. I go here for four years, and how am I greeted on the first day of school? By being ordered to welcome a bunch of snot nosed punks." With a frown, he continues, "I guess I don't have a choice though. This isn't a democracy, it's a dictatorship, and you're in charge. That's how it's always been."

"And that's how it'll always be, Brock. Now go and let Ms. Gordon know we're open for business." Wayne walks through a side door into another part of his office, leaving John to see himself out.

John grumbles angrily as he makes his way out of the principal's office. As he passes Barbara Gordon, head of security, he mutters, "Bats says it's showtime." He makes his way to the front of the school and waits for the rush of the students as the glass doors open automatically.
I'll explain how the teachers work in a few minutes,
