Anthony's group has just entered the forest, Ben is up on the trees, as is Austin.
(Sorry, forgot Ben was shot at. And Protective mask? There isn't any protection in Mimic's class!)
After being shot at, Ben free falls to the ground, landing lightly just in front of Maxine. He fires off three quick shots before bounding back into the trees, scattering the birds as he leaps through the air. Once he had put some distance between Maxine and himself, he sits in a tree, moving slowly as he fully loads the pistol. He then sits motionlessly again.
Anthony tells Sue and Kijani, "Make sure to check behind us periodically, and be careful not to shoot Matt or I accidentally." He faces the forest and says, "Let's go." After everyone had gotten into their positions, he begins walking through the forest, crouching slightly to present less of a target.
John turns around quickly as he hears someone approaching, preparing to fire, but stops when he sees Devika. He holds a finger to his lip to indicate silence, then points to Estella. Once Connor and he are in position, John fires two shots at Estella.

Matt and I will take the two outer points of the V, while Sue and Kijani will take the back. Griffin will be in the trees ahead of Matt and I, using his ears and nose to help locate targets. We'll walk with fifteen feet between Matt and I, five feet between Sue and Kijani, and Griffin will be twenty feet above and five feet behind Matt and I." As he speaks, he draws a crude diagram in the dirt:

Ben sits in his tree, motionless and nearly invisible, watching as the various groups formed. He frowns as a few of the other students take to the trees as well. "They're the priority. I need to take them out so I have space to work."
