Barbara Gordon announces over the PA, "Attention students: classes will resume in twenty-five minutes."
Ben sits down at a table and begins expertly peeling the boiled crawfish then separating everything on the platter into three groups. One pile had nothing but the tail meat, one had the shells from the tails, and the last was comprised of claws and heads. While he works, Ben asks Kalinda, "I know you're pretty new, but how many people have you gotten to know so far and what are your impressions of everybody in our group?"
While walking in Devika's direction, Anthony notices that she's staring at him with a smile on her face. Remembering that she's an empath, he decides to try something he had been working on at home. He closes his eyes for a moment, then opens them, revealing steely grey irides. The change in color lasts merely a few seconds before Anthony's eyes revert to their usual brown. Before passing Devika, Anthony smiles and winks knowingly, then continues on his way.
