I do accept that but at the same time dwelling on bad memories allows them power over me, here I wasn't so much dwelling as expressing pleasure that the physical evidence of those bad memories is gone which makes it far harder to dwell. I figure that's a pretty big boost to my progress.

In this context it's a joke about quoting you being kissing your ass, but the durability is a big part of the quotes appeal so I can see why you'd think it might mean shitting on.

I looked back a bit further... and I regret everything enough to the point where I'm seconds from asking for a full account deletion to erase everything and after I'd just remake it and pretend nothing ever happened. Nobody there quotes for shit either so it'd totally work out for the better.

Sometimes I feel guilty because the death of oldguild annihilated all evidence of my first forum dumbassery, and that feels kind of good.

Spam Liar Game

I did this before on the old guild and am thinking of doing it again now I have some time over summer. For those who don't know what the Liar Game it's a game where you lie. It's a game that's played for ridiculous amounts of money in a manga of the same name (which you can find here). The second round, which would be the first round I would host, is called Minority Rule. All the players of minority rule start of with the same amount of money which they can use to bribe others in the game, however if they are disqualified they must hand back the full amount of money back which may place them in debt. Each turn a question is asked and everyone answers either yes or no, they don't have to be truthful, the answers which most people gave is the answer which is disqualified. This continues until one or two players are left at which point the winner/winners take/share the money of all disqualified players. After the round there is a revival round which all the players but the winner participate in, this round is designed to eliminate one player, of those disqualified in the previous round, from the competition. The last time I ran this I had formalized agreements that you could set up through PMing me, however this time I'd like to take that out so there is more trust required (which is important for a long game) and more general shenanigans. So you could give someone some money in good faith that they'd vote yes, but you couldn't give them money conditional on them voting yes.

So who's interested and does anyone have any questions?

They're effective in moderation, but you do tend to overuse them. I think it makes you seem cautious or dithering to be honest but if you like them go for it.
