Well that gif from an Asian site.

Maybe it's some kind of training program to produce live-action adaptions?

Or a shitty horror movie.

Or an even worse hentai.
I'm not sure whether octopus in a jar sounds like the best pet ever, or the worst food ever.

A majority of movies out there could be classified as historical, if you gave me a time period or genre of film that you would prefer I might be able to help, but I am not about to just pull random movies out of my ass from the countless number you could be using.

I did specify interesting, inventive or challenging with reference to their portrayals of the period or event, combined with only getting to watch three ahead of time it was clear to others that I wanted one or two they thought particularly interesting. So there's no need to be an asshole about it.

The White Rose is what comes to mind.

Sounds interesting, but I've got enough now and will probably have to watch it in my own time.

Band of Brothers.

Unfortunately I can't do any series, otherwise I'd of settled on Blackadder a long time ago.

Anyway, I've got enough now, thanks again.
So, Spam knows films. I'm doing a group presentation on a film that depicts a historical event or period, which largely means talking about the film as a source. I'm looking for some suggestions, they don't have to be extremely accurate portrayals of the period, I'd prefer they be interesting, inventive or challenging really. I'm watching Dallas Buyers Club now, and I'm going to watch three more on Sunday and decide what to suggest to my group. Any ideas?

Here are some that I've watched, and I'm thinking of suggesting:
Django Unchained, Cabaret, Pocahontas, The Last King of Scotland.

Here are some I'm currently thinking of watching:
12 Years a Slave, Persepolis, The Agony and the Ecstasy, The Birth of Venus, Titus.

Here are some I can't do due to essay overlaps:
Gladiator, A Knight's Tale, Kingdom of Heaven, Made in Dagenham, The Battle of Algiers, The Battle of Britain, The Duchess, Amazing Grace, any of the bounty films.

Is it wrong that after reading this I resolved to buy some of the comics?
