With the arrival of the mysterious Demon Summoning Program in North and South America, the western region of the world has met a fate similar to that of Japan and Tokyo. Once thought to be existent only in myths of ancient cultures, countless demons now run rampant through the streets and cities, causing chaos and panic all around. Society slowly crumbles because of the resulting anarchy, and more and more people each day are devoured by the demons.
However... there have thankfully been several people who have been able to use the Demon Summoning Program successfully, and have thus been able to summon, invoke, and even recruit demons to their side and order them to fight along with them. Some have used their new demonic allies for their own goals, while others have used them to try and contain the chaos.
You are among the people who have been able to make efficient use od the DSP. What will you do with your power?Alright then! Here's an RP I've been wanting to do for a long while now, but since I never found one I decided to make one myself.
As mentioned in the intro, this SMT roleplay will revolve around demon summoning instead of persona summoning. In essence it is the same thing, except that instead of the demon being a part of you it is an actual, separate entity stored within whatever device you use the Demon Summoning Program with. We'll be using these demons to.... do whatever it is our characters decide to do with them.
This RP will mainly be openworld/freeform styled to allow for any number of story arcs and character created events, but by and by I shall introduce overall plotlines for all of us to follow.
Rules:1. No godmodding. This is annoying as hell and will get you booted from the RP rather quickly if it is a persistent problem. Godmodding is basically taking control of another person's character (and demons) and having them do things against the proper owner's will.
2. No over powered characters. Everyone here will be powerful considering they have demons on their side along with the skills the demons teach, but I don't want any characters or demons who are invincible or capable of beating everyone with one move.
3. No Mary Sues. An all around perfect character with no real flaws. I see one of these, and I'll have Beelzebub send his Death Flies on them to give them a most excruciating death. We're in an apocalyptic world, not the magical land of the Care Bears.
4. Be respectful. Fighting in the OOC is a big no no, as such things can ruin the RP for people. If you are at a disagreement, discuss it peacefully.
5. No pornographic content of any kind. If you guys want to have your character get it on with another (or hell, another demon if that's your craving)... take it to PM... and then PM me with the details xD. But seriously, beyond PG-16 should fade to black.
6. The only demons I will not permit to be used so far are the following: Ancient of Days, the Four Archangels, Lucifer, and Satan.
7. I reserve the right to add new rules as I please, as well as reject CSes.
8. Proper grammar is a must. I know this is the free section, but posts that are hard to read and riddled with errors will be unacceptable. I don't mind a few mistakes here and there, but try to have a decent effort in writing.
9. No one liners. These are boring and can slow things down, a minimum of three sentences only.

"Invoking" is the same as demon fusion in the games. However, instead of fusing demons together to create a new one, invoking is more along the lines of sacrificing demons for an amount of energy necessary in summoning a new one.

Name: Ajax Herscher

Gender: Male
Personality: Ajax is a strong willed and tough individual and won't hesitate to resort to ruthless means in order to accomplish his goals. He has a growing ambition to obtain power and a position of authority to stabilize the tumultuous area he lives in, and fights ruthlessly against demons and humans alike in order to make a name for himself. Despite these qualities, he actually isn't unwilling to help others if he sees they actually need it.
He typically isn't one to form any meaningful friendships (much less love interests) because he feels they can easily be ruined by death and betrayal, but he does have some ties with people he knows can watch after themselves.
Backstory: Ajax, like many others, was just your typical teenager living in the US. He was on a well set path to college because of his achievements in academics and in sports and had several plans for the future. All that eventually fell apart when the demonic outbreak started. His home and family were pretty much destroyed and devoured by the vile abominations, but he managed to escape their grasp by taking his father's truck and running over everything that got in his way. Distraught by loss, Ajax thought that he would soon fall prey to the thousands of other demons running rampant throughout not just his town, but throughout the entire country. That's when he discovered a certain little download named the "Demon Summoning Program". Skeptical as he was, he took his chances with the Program and was astonished to see that it actually worked on a device as "simple" as his smart phone. Even more surprising to him was the fact that the summoned demon did acknowledge him as its master and did whatever he told it to.
After this, Ajax began to start hunting demons, destroying some while recruiting and invoking those he felt had the most power within their beings.
Demons:
Beelzebub: This is Ajax's main powerhouse and most recent acquired demon. Summoned through rituals taught to him by Murmur, Ajax narrowly defeated Beelzebub before resummoning him, this time as an ally which submitted to him after seeing his power and willingness to fight even if outmatched.
Murmur: Murmur serves as Ajax's "counselor", offering advice and aid on subjugating others. Ajax used the Demon Summoning Program to summon this demon after he received a message from the application that he had enough demon vitality to summon more powerful demons. Ajax often tasks Murmur of conjuring up the spirits of recently defeated enemies of multiple gangs for information on where they are holed up in.
Alice: One of Ajax's first successful invocations, Alice is Ajax's "lure", the demon he uses to basically beguile foes before slaying them. He quite honestly admired her twisted nature and kept her around just for that, but was even more satisfied when he realized this childlike demon held a great potential for power.
