Followed closely by his feline companion, Kaito navigated the maze that is the Seireitei streets. "Why would they build it like this? I guess it's a good way to hinder an enemy from getting into important areas..." He mused as Sykes yawned indifferently. "Why do you even hang around? Not like you're ever interested in what I have to say." Kaito told the cat grumpily. Kaito stopped in front of the gates of a squad and looked down at the piece of paper he was given by another shinigami. It had a crudely drawn map on it but from what he could tell he was at the right place. "This must be Squad 10. Wait out here Sykes-ugh." The feline leaped up and used Kaito's head to springboard over the gate. Kaito sighed. He entered the compound and stood at the gate. He opened his mouth to call out and announce that he was looking to join but he stopped and stood there looking quite unsure.

Ryota walked around the Squad 10 barracks with his hands in his pockets as he let out a sigh and looked just very slightly up to his left seeing how dead the Squad was "This is such a shame...no wonder I became Lieutenant so easily." Ryota then let out another sigh...he couldn't help but feel he was weak and got this position purely because he was the only strong Shinigami in the Squad. Ryota then picked up on a presence and his head perked up a bit "A new recruit perhaps?" Ryota walked towards the location of the said person then once in view Ryota spoke "Are you here to join?"

Giovanni didnt dare ask what that reason was. nor did he ask why squad 2, who was supposed to be responsible for taking care of such criminals wasnt taking care of it... instead he just nodded "i understand.
