"I must be either suicidal, or extremely stupid. Or both." Natalie muttered to herself as she looked up through the half moon night to see a castle in the distance. It had taken her most of the day to get here on foot, only stopping to relieve herself or to eat, or to rest for a moment or two. She pulled her shoulder length dirty blonde hair into a ponytail taking a deep and soothing breath as she patted her gun to feel safe, it within very easy reaching distance, as well as the daggers, but her gun made her feel more safe than much else. She's been a loner for as long as she can remember, growing up with the stories of vampires and werewolves. Most thought her crazy for believing in such things. But she figures, if there are so many stories, some must be true. So, she walked to the castle carefully opening the front door after checking to see if it was unlocked or not. She just as carefully closed it, but the doors slightly creaked. And if the myths were true, she really could not stay there for long. So she quickly decided on a random direction and headed East.
Out of automatic reflex, Dexter caught the plastic arm and seeing no other solution in mind, he went off his own direction his thoughts circling around the confusion that was the girl who called herself 'The Doctor'. Well there was no way he could say anything, people would think he was nuts. That was when the mall exploded. He hoped that whoever she was, was safe running past a blue police box, not having seen it as he wasn't expecting to.
It was horrible news to learn that someone was dead. He followed the stranger who saved his life not certain where else to go, and besides this way led to an exit anyway. "Just who are you anyway?" He at first got no answer, as if she hadn't heard him. "I'm asking for a name." He said a bit louder his build up of irritation showing in his tone just a little bit, but when one was bushed to the brink of breaking, one did tend to have a different tone than normal. All he wanted was to know who saved his life and what she had done to the elevator with that strange metallic device in her hand that made a whirring sound.
The smile on the stranger's face made her seem her age. Sure she looked young, but there was an old look in her eyes as if she's seen things no one else has or ever will, add to it that she seemed to be weighed down with some sort of bone deep sadness, and Dexter thought her smile was beautiful. He bashfully tugs on his ear not knowing what to say to that as the elevator stopped. "What happened to Frank?" He asked concerned for the man he had been searching for. He might not have had the best of days starting out, but he didn't wish real harm to anyone, even if he came close to actually being violent today.
Now Dexter felt silly for asking such a question. Great way to start things out. "Well...a bunch of people walkin' around in plastic suits, for a laugh at someone else's expense, kind of sounds like something students would do." He said explaining his reasoning. It was logical for him to jump to that conclusion. Course, it was the only thing that didn't sound as crazy as self moving plastic, and he really didn't want to sound crazy. Especially in front of this stranger.
Following the advice of the voice, Dexter ran with the female, not seeing any other choice if he wanted to live much longer, her hand on his arm slipping to his hand almost a natural fashion, as they made it to the elevator but the plastic mannequins had stuck an arm in and he jerked to the back as whoever it was that saved him, popped the arm off and the elevator started moving. He was suddenly a bit tongue tied, but determined to find an answer to what just happened. "Was that some sort of student thing?" He questioned but figured that no real human could have their arms pop open without some sort of blood escaping, or maybe they were holding onto the plastic arm through the armhole. Not very logical thinking, especially since that thing looked purely plastic, but it was really the only explanation he was coming up with at the moment.
Well we'd have to agree on where the setting is. I'm better at playing girls, but I've done both genders well and I haven't yet gotten complaints when I do play a male part, so either will be fine for me, or if you want we can double up. I'm going to look around and possibly make my pony[ies] or whatever. :3
When Dexter couldn't find Frank he started to get worried. "What's going on here, I thought they said he'd be here." He said mostly to himself muttering but then another weird sound went through the building. "If that's you Frank, I'm not in the mood!" Dexter said irritated going closer and closer to the sound to see what it was. He was smarter than that, certainly, but if the sound led to his getting out of this situation faster, then so be it. He then saw the mannequins and rose an eyebrow confused. "What in the world?" Then they started to shakily move. "Oh real funny. This is really starting to get on my nerves. Whose big idea was this then?!" He said but when they continued to march forward, the instinct of flight kicked in and he backed away to a wall, starting to get nervous.
Another dreary morning in an even more predictable dreary day in Dexter's life. The alarm woke him up from his weekend off from work and he glared at the alarm. Whoever made up Monday's had to seriously be eviscerated. But that was the already cranky thoughts of the young man who got up anyway and took a cooler shower to fully wake up his system and got dressed for work, brushing then messing up his black hair a bit out of habit. He didn't need to dress classy which he supposed was a blessing as he was pretty sure he wouldn't be all that fetching in a suit. He tried the constraining thing once in his life and that was for his aunts wedding and he adamantly REFUSED to wear one ever again. He would be late from the way he enjoyed to sleep in, so ran out the door and went down the street to get a quick bagel and small coffee for breakfast needing both the food and the caffeine to be a normal human being at work. Already he could say that the day would pretty much weigh him down, and he was absolutely right. It seemed that no matter what he did, it was wrong. Even when he didn't do anything, again that could be his irritation speaking but by noon, he was ready to snap and yell at someone, didn't matter who. He groans as he was sent to some part of the building that only a few people worked at, looking for Frank to fix something or another that someone with a standard knowledge of computers can do with just a few clicks of the mouse. He was fighting the urge to punch something as he walked down the hall looking for where Frank could be working. "Frank!" He called looking around when he thought he heard something and turned around, but when he did, nothing was there. He rose an eyebrow wondering if he had been hearing things and continued on.
Sweet, I'll begin the role play then :D
