Struggling

Natalie and the kids laugh as they head back to their home, the kids talking animatedly about the game.
"Mom? Is he going to be our dad?" A kid asked curiously. Natalie acted more the mother than the official mother of the home they all lived in was to the kids. Her eyes widened and she flushed shaking her head.
"What a rude question. And besides. Its not up to me." It was mostly his choice if he wanted to stay with them. Or if they were going to die tonight. Whichever.

"Don't go Dexter, that thing's an alien!" Jessica says frantic with fear at what she had gone through. Oh Dexter wanted to. He had longed for something better than this life and going to touch the stars, what human didn't dream of that? But he was going to do something he knew he would always regret. "Sorry, someone has got to look after these lumps that attach themselves to me." He says in a 'I really don't want to do this tone', that was hidden by a tone of 'oh god please don't take me serious' or 'please ask again' whichever one worked. Because he really did want to go with her. She needed someone to take away that sadness in her blue eyes.

Rose pulls a hand through his hair soothingly smiling lovingly at him. "Ah well. Better with two yeah?" She says copying her words knowing that he'd be a whole lot worse if she wasn't here.

Rose smiles at him having seen a look in his eyes she had only seen one other time when they had to stay for a bit on this one planet and he had that look of 'can we get this over with?' Look that he had currently. "You're getting the I need ta travel soon or go nuts look in your eye. That is a sure sign you're gettin better."

Jessica had no need to be told twice as she ran out of the TARDIS. Dexter got out next taking his glasses back and placing them over his eyes. "You miss I'm full of it, would have been killed if it wasn't for me." He states with a smile at the Doctor to let her know he was teasing.

Dexter dragged Jessica into the TARDIS before she took off and they got out of the trouble. He smiles as his phone rings as they moved somewhere safe.
"Dexter get home there were these plastic things that came to life--." Dexter rolls his eyes and hung up. He had the best experience ever.

Dexter pulled out his phone and tried to call his dad to warn him, but he didn't get an answer and sighs as he looks around and saw a hatchet and a chain. He gave his glasses to Jess. He walked to the tied up chain. "Don't have a job. Don't have much of a future." He said cutting the chain after some calculations. "I was a part of the gymnastics at school. I won the silver." He said and grabbed the chain in his hands and swung knocking the plastic holding the Doctor and who had the anti-plastic, over the side and into the vat of plastic. He then swung back and landed next to the Doctor letting go of the chain.

Dexter follows after her and sees Jessica tied up to the rail. "Jess!" He says glad to see her alright and that he was right in the thinking that she was alright.
"Its aliens Dex." Hess said panicking and he places a soothing hand on her shoulder and shushes her softly.
