Lori couldn't help but laugh again, this guy wasn't just the Cat in the Hat, she could also picture him as the Mad Hatter. "Um, you should take up acting. I think you'd be good at it" she said.
Lori couldn't help but give a slight laugh. This Thomas kid was pushy, which freaked her out a bit, but it was in a funny way. He reminded her of the Cat and the Hat from those old children books she used to read. "That's just how I am" she replied.
"No- no it's fine, I was just startled, I'm kind of... awkwardly shy" she mumbled as she attempted to return the smile back.
Lori jumped in surprise at the sudden greeting. She ended up dropping her pizza on the floor. "Y-Yes I did, friend?".
Lori followed Lauren inside and followed her directions. She looked at the different pizzas and watched someone pick up a shrimp pizza, it had made her stomach queasy. She went for the average cheese pizza and sat down at the Halcyon table. Even though people were talking she kept to herself and began to eat the slice.
Lori sat beside Lauren and put her hands in her lap. "Pizza sounds good right now, I think I've only had it once though".
Lori looked up at Lauren and smiled back. "Thanks for that". Maybe making friends would be easier then she thought. Being raised by a church, she didn't get a lot of chances to make friends. "Since, I'm going to be apart of Halcyon with you, is there anything I can do to help?".
Lori noticed the smile and attempted a smile back, but it just looked like a nervous grin. "My name's Aloria" Lori said before quickly finishing the sentence with "-but please call me Lori".
Lori sighed nervously before stepping up to Lauren. She was looking at Lauren's shoes and basically whispered what she was saying. "U-Umm may I please get the Halcyon papers?".
Lori couldn't believe what she had heard, she got scared easily so this put her over the roof. Shaking a bit she followed the Lauren girl and stuck to the nice people. Maybe she could make friends and not be targeted.
