Because I made my other (original) one and then I made this one on a stupid whim? My thought process doesn't always seem to make sense. But if you don't mind I would really like to switch over.

Otherwise, nice to see another character up. I should start working on mine more fervantly as I'm falling quite behind.
That’s unfortunate—as in damaged dead or out-of-battery dead? And good, I’m glad we got all of that settled. Since you didn’t reply to my question about whether I should make the fifth member a thief-type or a fighter I’m just going the route of fighter. I have a more solid character in mind for that route.

I’m looking forward to seeing her (the Wyvern Knight). I’m interested to see your Mercenary-Knight as well [I’ll henceforth refer to this character in this manner (until they have a name) to help you understand who I’m talking about]. Do you have any idea how long that character is going to have been with the group? I do hope my questions/recordings/precisions for dates aren’t too annoying.

Finally, I was planning to have at least Devonte and Itho uploaded by now but I ended up taking a break to work on character images instead. If we’re lucky I can upload Ismaire’s and Mona’s soon. I half-finished one for either Eldys or Laures (leaning toward the latter now), but I still haven’t managed to draw anything suitable for Farsine or the others. I might try and use a few found-images for some of them, in order to save time. If I can’t find anything decent I’ll just go the route of written descriptions.

Edit So, as odd as this might be, I'd rather like to switch to playing this on my other account. As I'd like to not have to constantly switch accounts it would require a new OOC [But we could just copy+paste the first three posts] I understand if you'd rather I just continue using this one. ^^'
Ha-ha. Hahh…. And I’m about half-way done with my Captain. I have basically everything done except his appearance and some of his history/personality because I was making his a bit extra-long to detail things about the mercenary group. It shouldn’t be too long before I get him uploaded (and my other two will follow really close behind) and then I only have quite a few more.

I don’t mind. Alright, final verdict. She was exiled at nine (861). Roughly three years later (864) she joined the mercenary group and has been with them since. She is now, in the year 871, 19. I hope that helps. I will go add these things to the timeline. (Except her current age).

Edit: The Captain has been added. His biography/personality ended up as more of a chronology of certain times in the Mercenary Groups history. (The blank space is where I'll fill in more information about your final character). I can probably get the other two up shortly but I do have an idea. Should I make the fifth man be a thief-type or a fighter-type? I noticed we're strongly lacking both.
Alright, I’ll see what I can do. Wait so she’s going to be 21? I thought you just said she was going to be 19. Ten years from 19 means she would have been exiled at roughly 9. o_0 Wherever this is off to I think the old Captain would definitely have known but since he had to die so the new Captain could take his place his secret can go to the grave. Also for being taken in so young—she probably wouldn’t have been fighting on the battlefields at first. Forgive me if I keep saying the same things over and over and seem to not be able to grasp simple concepts. I could use some more sleep.

And whether or not she likes it I think the Captain will probably call her Marie as a play on the last part of her name.

No, not your Wyvern Knight.

Mine's a Myrmidon, and I might make my second one a Knight, actually. If that is the case, you could be a Thief? Or Mercenary? We also don't have any Cavaliers yet o_o.Wyvern Rider it is, then. Should we all start as first tier classes, or should some of our stronger units start at higher classes such as Generals and stuff?
You don't want a horde of aloof princesses running around? I think that would be funny. XD

I'm assuming by the 'joining really young' statement she joined the troop at ~12? If she's going to have been that young the Captain definitely could have helped her hone her sword talent, if you want to include that in history. I'm glad our discussion has helped to define your character. I've always liked it best when my characters further their development that way. Anyway in that case I’m going to write up a summary of the mercenary group as well as my three characters within it.

And yes, the newbie is going to be the target for all of the teasing until a new newbie comes along. Although I think the Captain might also tease her a little for no longer being the newbie.

You might also want to come up with a pseudonym for her, considering the name Ismaire is a rather noticeable hint to who she is.

And two more questions—
Is your knight-mercenary going to be male or female?
Do you want Ismaire to be smiling or not in her portrait?
The bit about interacting soldier-to-soldier instead of soldier-to-captain was one thing I was thinking about. In the case of the former they’d probably develop more of a sibling-like relationship instead of just a commander (protector) to soldier (ward) type of thing. Especially considering he’d know she was the heir of Jehanna he’d likely do a bit of the ‘stay out of harm’s way’ type of thing. What I think would work nicely would be—

(Depending on how you want her to be make her 19/20/21/22)

864 – Ismaire joins the guild. (She could be 12/13/14/15); Captain would be 21
867 – Major destruction of most the troop, Captain (24) inherits position of leadership. Ismaire could be 15/16/17/18

This would leave four years between then and the start of the story. I was planning on having my thief character have joined after her and be a quite young/rookie type of member, but I can edit it if you’d like her to be the newest. I’ll also be playing three members, just for notes: the Captain, a Mage-type, and a thief; If you have no objections of course. If you make her 19 or 20 he’s probably going to be a bit more protective of her than if she’s 21 or 22 – Since if we go with the above mentioned he would have first meant her when she was quite young. Or if you’d like her to be younger she could have always joined 865/866 to age her up a little. What do you think?
Excellent, I look forward to seeing this character. ^^

And...

To Quote my edit you may have missed:

" I'm quite in the muse for writing the mercenaries right now, however, I'm trying not to get ahead of myself and write more than works. My plans were to make the mercenary troop itself be quite old and the Captain would only have inherited it (so to speak). He's going to be ~28 years old (for note, six years older than Ismaire). I was planning on having him inherit the rank at a fairly young age due to being the most nominated/strongest/qualified/whatever after a rather unpleasant defeat during which over 50% of the troop was killed. He was going to be anywhere from ~21-24 when he becomes Captain. Going with this I see two (or two and a half) major points for her to join.

1. She joins before he takes the role of Captain. This could allow her to join at the ages 15-18 (maximum) and I could just adjust his age of succession to fit however long you want her to be in the group. (Say you want them to have both been in the group four years before he became Captain—she could join at 14 and he could take the position at 24, etc.).

2. She joins after he has already become Captain allowing her to join at ages 15-18 (minimum). She could join either almost directly after his promotion to Captain having her still be with the group a good while or sometime much closer to the start of our story, making her more of the ‘new’ member.

Personally I like the idea of her having been with the troop for at least a little while now. Of course if you don’t like the sound of any of this we can do something entirely different. "

This information is vital to how soon I finish my next character.

You should probably read my above edit. We have one paladin. Why would anyone want to bother with cavaliers? My Captain is going to be a Mercenary so I don't think I need another one of those. We could probably use a thief though.

We definitely shouldn't make everyone tier one classes. I made Farsine a paladin. Eldys is probably going to have his own fancy class. I'd say it just depends on who we're making second tier and how old/experienced said character is. Characters who hold high position (i.e. The Rank of General) should definitely be able to be upgrades.
Make as many as you want! The more the merrier. ^^ If you ever see an opportunity or have a suggestion I’ll be glad to hear it.

I’d very much like for him to have a character by his side, especially since I have been growing rather fond of Eldys and would like to play him very much. I could see either or both serving the Golden Alliance (which is my unofficial name for the Frelia/Renais/Rausten alliance). A Pegasus Knight could have come from Frelia or Renais just might have taken in its own few/several Pegasus Knights. And due to the chaos in Grado I imagine there are probably more than a few odd Wyvern Knights out there.

And while on the subject of characters—I was working on my mercenaries, did you have a class in mind for you ‘filler’ mercenary?

EDIT
I'm quite in the muse for writing the mercenaries right now, however, I'm trying not to get ahead of myself and write more than works. No problem. In that case I'll probably start working on her brother now.

I don't want to disappear that long. I'm just giving a slight warning because my computer has been a little arse lately. And my internet has been about two times worse.

I think you'll understand once you read it, but the summary is about the Prince of Renais - The King's younger brother. He would be fighting against South Carcino with a very likely change of alliances later on.
