Everything but the Lantern Corps he belongs to looks good. It doesn't make much sense for someone who spreads faith to belong the Corps made up of sadistic people who cause fear.

Backstory: Born in Harlem, Miles Esperance was a Roman Catholic who one day came across a young Jewish boy named Mordechai who was being beaten by a local gang, always willing to help others he brought his older brother to threaten these bullies, Miles and Mordechai quickly became friends, they only argued about religion although the arguments never escalated. After highschool, their friendship began to dissolve.
Now an adult, Miles became a Reverend living in New York until a car crash damaged his spine and paralyzed him, at the time he thought he would be able to walk again with physiotherapy but his spine never healed and was put in a wheelchair.
Angry at God he lost his faith and screamed at the heavens hoping God would heal him, when this didn't happen he dared God to end him, suddenly a bright blue light illuminated his church. He heard a calm, peaceful voice in his mind stating "Miles Esperace of Earth, You have shown you have great hope in your heart, and the ability to inspire hope in others. Welcome to the Blue Lantern Corps." after hearing this a small blue ring flew onto his finger. Unknowingly he quickly stood up and to his shock discovered he could walk again, overjoyed he believes the ring to be a gift from God even though he's met aliens in thousands of sectors and now roams these sectors spreading hope to those willing to listen.
If his ring loses charge or he takes the ring off, he won't be able to walk unless he puts it back on or recharges it.
