Walking back to the herald envoy vessel, Iris boarded the cruiser, returning to space. While she did have an apartment down in the capital, she still preferred the tranquility and calm of her own ship to the great hustle and bustle of the capital.

Re-entering space, a shuttle approached the cruiser to ferry Iris back onto her flagship, the kilometres-long ADF Ascended Throne. Returning to the bridge of her flagship, Iris mulled over all that had transpired today. Watching the planet from space, Iris considered the possibility of something happening.

Captain Alyssa of the Greater Nest recommends deployment of a task force onto surface of the capital. The unity's hive hind suggested. Maintenance of presence will ensure that the Corrupted do not try anything in the President's absence.

Captain Trinity of the Heliopolis objects. Such a move would be seen as a threat by the unenlightened.

The Carrier Greater Nest, as well as Battleships Valhalla and Styx are to enter the atmosphere and hold station keeping above the capital.

The Unity will do as we have decided. the hive mind spoke once more. Breaking off from the deep space formation, the three capital ships in question slowly descended onto the surface, casting large shadows on the streets and city blocks of the capital. The message to the shadows were clear: if they appeared, the Advent would respond.

"...this 'Shizuru' that you talk about," Ayane finally decided to ask, "...is she Fujino Shizuru? From the Council?"

Ayane had two options in front of her. She could either leave Natsuki alone like she wanted, or she could call her out on her bluff. However, she had just spent a few hours lamenting the lack of information she had on the Shadows of the Universe, so she couldn't help but take the opportunity.

"You shouted out a name. Shizuru, I believe it was." Ayane said to her. "...do you mind if I come in for a bit?"

Ayane was about to head to put down her novel and head off to sleep when she heard Natsuki's scream, probably because she was right across the hall. Setting down her novel, Ayane slowly headed out of her own room and crossed the hall, knocking on the door.

"Natsuki?" she called out. "I heard you shout... is everything okay?"

Yukina leaped into combat, unsure of what just that red marking was. Whatever it was, however, it was dangerous. However, whatever power compelled it it would be no match for Sekkarou and it's ability to cut through magic - or so she hoped.

Hmm... Although I could technically have Lancer be a heroic spirit summoned by the world itself...

...Elsa, do you mind if Shizuru ends up being Lancer's Master? Of course, it will only be for the purposes of binding Vlad to the world and stopping him from just disappearing. He'll mostly be independent, but you will get the added bonus of giving him three commands he absolutely cannot refuse ^^

After going over the data again, Ayane came to the realization there wasn't much more to see. Retrieving the disk from her laptop computer, she returned the disk to it's hidden compartment and settled down for the night, turning on the lamp and opening a novel she was halfway through.
