I think it's really not up to me, considering that I'm pretty much Nyar's plaything by this point. ;w;

I would say to ask Homura, but might I suggest that isn't there a warband that needs members? Like, desperately?
Nanase wondered if this was something that had happened to countless people prior. Being thrown into the void by the whims of great powers that moments ago they did not even fully realize even existed, she wondered if she was about to suffer a fate similar to countless people. To dream of a great adventure only to die pathetically at the very beginning, only catching a glimpse that they had no time to even understand or comprehend.

She was not a physically strong girl. Her gym grades were average and she did not partake in any sort of martial arts or fencing classes. She did not feel confident in beating these snake creatures, the Great Naga - not that she would know what they were; she was a student of the occult, not one of these mainstream religions.

The only reason why she went for the sword was because there was no other option. It had been the default, only thing to do. Even if this was meant to be a god's mockery of heroism, she knew that this sword would be better than nothing. Fully aware that her life was being toyed with, strangely that did not seem to bother her - but it would not really have surprised anyone who understood Ichimiya Nanase. Life was constantly something to be toyed with by higher powers. It was just that that higher power was making her that much more aware of it. If she was to die, then there really was no way to escape. It would be set in stone, and nothing would change it. If she was not to die, however, then there was nothing that would change that either.

And with that, she grasped the sword and sheathe in her hands and unsheathed it, wondering if some ability or power would reveal herself and give her a better chance than normal high school girl vs a creature of myth.
That... whatever it was that was in her painting - it had somehow gotten out of her painting, a fact that she somehow just noticed - was speaking to her. Despite the very wrong atmosphere that had permeated her room and was now causing the gerbil to run around the cage in complete panic, Nanase found herself completely entranced and bewitched by the creature, this great being to which she was a mere ant.

"...I..." she hesitated for a moment, fear gripping her every body before she looked at her gerbil, at its cage, and she made up her mind.

"I wish for a different path in life." She declared, knowing full well that there were at least a million different ways that this could backfire. Nyarlathotep might turn her into an ant, might completely destroy her, might change her identity completely - and entirely for the worse - but she was not afraid. She was tired of this life, tired of the cage she was placed in.

"It is undeniable that humans such as I are beholden by fate, that by the mere whims of forces high beyond our understanding - whether that force be gods or fate - our path are set without any chance of our own struggle. Which is why I ask you, if you truly are the crawling chaos, that through your whimsical desires, that you change the path set out for me and destroy the cage which fate has placed around me by birthing me to the two parents I have."
Hmm... three people is a tad smaller than what I am used to but I am fine with that~

Also, does his mean that this third party will be up against both the rebellion an the Empire?
My interest has been piqued.

Will be watching with great curiosity.
@Punished Homura

...It was probably a good thing thing that Nanase had some dice in her room. That way she could roll for Sanity Loss and see whether or not she would end up a blubbering mess on the floor.

In the corner of the room, the Gerbil began running around in its glass cage frantically, knowing just as well as Nanase herself that something had gone terribly wrong. She had not, really, intended to summon Nyarlathotep. The ritual circle and the "summons" she used were both from the internet, just something she put together randomly to try and appease boredom. There was no way they could be "correct", now, would it?

No, it wouldn't have mattered anyway. No matter how "inaccurate" her methods were, if she had caught the attention of Nyarlathotep then the Crawling Chaos would come, no matter what. The method didn't matter; all that mattered was whether or not the Outer God, so far above human understanding and comprehension, would be amused or bored enough to humor the human.

With the sudden realization that maybe, just maybe, something far beyond her wildest imaginations was happening, she slowly approached the painting, her eyes a mixture of terrified and open wonder. Was she really in the presence of the Crawling Chaos? Has she really caught its attention?
I wish I would be able to help in this warband, but all I have is some normal human ;w;
Road to Knowledge

With the Pirates defeated, Amelia looked with distaste as the prisoners were rounded up and bound before reflecting on the battle. She could not say she was particularly happy with the outcome - the battle had been much too costly for what should have been an extremely straightforward pirate raid. They had the element of surprise, the pirates had no idea what they walked into and they should have been able to win from just that. So why on earth did they lose so many forces?

With Goldevia making her conversation, Amelia nodded, feeling it was only best to make a response - although she was quite concerned about several things.

"And you have fought valiantly yourself, Goldevia. I am sorry for the loss of your companions, but I am sure they died as valiantly as any warrior."

The truth was, she was quite sure their deaths were needless, but did that really matter? One's manner of death was all that mattered; the reason for that death did not matter... most of the time.

There was another matter she was concerned about - that was, of course, the Roman Priestess. The oarsmen were adults and should deal with violence. The Legionaries were soldiers, men who lived and died in battle. Cuinte knew the dangers of his jobs.

Oriana was young. While Amelia and her fellow valkyries were warriors of Odin, she was truly just a child. She should not have seen something such as this so soon in her life, and that was what drew Amelia's concern, even more than Goldevia's loss of her animals.

"...Are you alright, Oriana?" she asked softly, skipping the proud, fellow warrior tone for a more sisterly one.

H-how does he breed in the first place. I don't want to know that honestly. I just gave myself some horrible mental images aaaaaaagh.

As the person who apped the borderline Mythos cultist I can confirm those are some pretty horrible mental images.

Name: Alexis "Isabel-Ocelot" Erlwin

Age: 25

Species: Human

Gender: Female

Personality: Not someone who would blindly trust anyone and not someone who would be willing to sacrifice herself for any "greater causes," Isabel-Ocelot is a mercenary at her best - a person who would do anything to ensure her survival and freedom in a cutthroat world where calling the police was pathetic at its best and where the law was a chain of bondage, not a protective system of justice. Isabel-Ocelot is also extremely patient, willing to wait an unbelievable amount of time to wait for an opponent to show an opening or reveal a weakness.

Bio: Born in the California Free-State, Alexis was born into a world where being SINless meant that one was non-existent within the system of corporate rulerships that had spread across the world. Raised in the shadows cast by the social dominance raised by corporations, she became a shadowrunner at a young age to fend for herself. By the time she was 20, she was well known and well regarded as a woman who can get wetwork done. She ran with several shadowrunner teams and worked for plenty of people, but ultimately she couldn't let just one organization or team tie her down.

Abilities:

Sniper - Isabel-Ocelot is, first and foremost, a sniper. She is an extremely skilled marksmanship whose already formidable abilities are only enhanced by the adept magic she utilizes.

Stealth and Cover: Isabel is highly skilled at stealth and the use of covers to conceal her presence.

Controlled Breathing: As a part of her sniper training, Isabel is skilled in controlling her breathing. As such, she is capable of speeding up or lowering her heart and breathing rate to shrink her presence, although she cannot erase it completely.

Patience: One of what Isabel-Ocelot openly declares are the two main skills that make her a damn good Shadowrunner, Isabel has the mental fortitude to never, ever rush into a situation and can lie on a rooftop or treetop for hours, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. She will never act rashly under even the most perverse insults and daring challenges - after all, the best comeback against such insults against her strengths were to kill them.

Preparation: Isabel-Ocelot's other self-professed main skill - Isabel will never, ever blindly rush into attacking a target. Instead, she will gather as much information as she can about her target, look for the faintest clues as to what they cannot just shrug off and what has hurt them in the past and learn as much about their strengths and weaknesses as possible. Even after that, she will stalk her target for days, watching and waiting, observing his or her every move, learning every single facet of their life before finally choosing a long and deliberate process of killing them off in a process that may take days, all in the final result of finding the right bullet to shoot from the right place at the right time.

Weapons Training: Aside from a sniper rifle, Isabel is also skilled with various handguns and rifles.

Tracking: Isabel is a master tracker, able to find the faintest of signs and picking up the faintest of clues that will lead her to her prey. She is especially skilled in utilizing this skill in urban terrain.

Way of the Adept - as someone versed in the magic of the Shadowrun universe, instead of using it for rituals and casting spells Isabel instead utilizes magic for her inner strength. Such users of magic are known as Adepts.

Adept: The Invisible Way - an Adept who has dedicated their lives to training in the skills of invisibility - both in cliche and true undercover methods, Isabel-Ocelot is capable of blending into any crowds, erasing her presence in the world from the sixth sense and use her magic to enhance her physical capabilities, for those rare moments when she actually personally goes around to sneak about.

Equipment:

Commlinks - her main tools of communication; a commlink is an electronic device that keeps her connected on the go. Of course, hers are highly illegally modified and she has several of these, much like a criminal would have several phones.

Barret Model 121 Heavy Sniper Rifle + Suppressor and gyromount - the sniper rifle she was using at the moment; this is a heavy sniper rifle which she often keeps concealed in a violin case.

Ruthenium Polymer Stealth Suit - The Stealth suit is an integrated armour, heat dissipation and ruthenium polymer system designed for the ultimate in stealth. The armoured body suit provides not only ballistic and impact protection but also helps to bold infra-red emissions from the body, to prevent detection by themographic systems. The Stealth suit comes equipped with 8 extra sensors and with 2 gel power packs (10 hours life time each).

Ruthenium Polymer Cloak - The Polymer Cloak is simply a cloak worn over existing garments coated in polymers. It doesn’t offer any other armour or integrated features but like normal clothing may be modified to accept 2 levels of armour modifications. The RPC comes complete with 8 extra image sensors and 2 gel power packs with 10 hours life time each.

Onotari Equalizer Machine Pistol - for that down and dirty situation when Isabel-Ocelot needed to get out of a situation by fighting out of it. She has a suppressor attachment for it.

Lockpicks - several in various inconspiculous places through her outfit and body at all times.
