Current It's been a while since I roleplay'ed. With filing for unemployment, a lot of free time has opened up. I hope I can join despite the rep sheet I have for being inactive for some time.

I've made the first IC post. I went ahead and rushed my character's entrance with the professor and all so everyone else can have a more "in depth" conversation with the Professor if they wanted as it will be easier for me to control him.
Ed's hair swayed in the breeze, he enjoyed a nice stroll through a forest. He crossed his hands behind his head and yawned calmly, the peace that the moment had brought in started to force Edward to a daydream state. He took a brief moment to lift his shoulders up; keeping Crow up on his back. Edward feels something different about this region. He just can't put his finger on it. Looking up at the sky, he was disappointed to see that it was the same as it was when arriving. He didn't find any difference in the sky from the boat ride to this region. The sounds were different though, but that's obvious considering this was a forest and not an ocean. Instead of Wingulls chirping, there was more cries and yelps. The animal noises weren't annoying or a nuisance surprisingly. Edward was finding it a small thing that could be enjoyed easily. His mind was beginning to appreciate the peace after many battles of senseless fighting. "So...is this Toppe Region?" Edward questioned with a puzzled expression on his face. His heart rate increased, was he finally about to start a new journey? He stepped off the boat slowly; it was as if his legs were forcing him to in the wrong direction. Ed's gut was going to explode any moment from Butterfree's. Was this fear or excitement? Edward chuckled under his breath after realizing how much of a nervous wreck he was before. He was glad to know that Professor Pine was able to give him that extra push he needed. It's a sickening thought that there could've been a possibility that Edward might've chickened out. He thought back to how he was almost going to quit and go back to his home region. Ed placed his hands behind his head; he was thankful for Professor Pine's help once he reached that laboratory. A middle aged man with a scruffy beard tapped Ed on the shoulders. "Oh, come now, boyo! You're not scared, are you? You've already rode on the boat to get here. If you leave, you'll regret it." The elderly man wore a lab coat that covered the clothes he was wearing underneath. His gray hair connected to his scraggly beard, he stroke his facial hair nonchalantly as he spoke. Edward tossed a thumbs up. "Leave? No way! I'm just a little...cautious is all." "I could understand your reason. When I was your age, I would get a lot of shaking in the knees whenever I entered a new region. It's going to stop after a while. Although, I don't very much appreciate running away, but you really should've came here when you were a bit more...experienced. This isn't Johto." Professor Pine combed his fingers through his beard. "What do you mean by that?" Edward asked. He was a bit offended by the remark. Was he implying that Johto was an easy region? "Oh, nothing, lad! Come with me! Let's hurry up and get you your equipment!" Professor Pine patted Ed in the back with his hairy knuckles and led him to go get his supplies. Edward came back to the present time. He noticed the walk was getting slightly boring. He was some distance from the laboratory. There was a hushed rumble in his stomach. Ed figured now would be the best time to eat. Cape Town is a small but open place, near the northern edge of the Toppe Region. They aren't right on the coast, but set back from it on a plateau, with a large dock a little ways off. The dock is where new trainers usually arrive, since how the large mountain ranges that divides Toppe in half also separates it from Kanto and Johto, making the whole continent have a somewhat cross dividing it up. There is no pokemon center or mart in Cape town. The only thing that resides is a laboratory, belonging to Professor Pine. He usually gives advice and help to new trainers.
So my excuse would be that Nicolas has been sleeping the entire time under a tree? Any ideas what should happen if he wakes up?
Nicolas listened to the words of the headmaster. He was not amused; it just brought him to a boiling point. It was unbelievable that James decided to claim him. Nicolas slapped on his headphones; he glanced down to the ground. He hated how everything led to this point. "You'll regret saying that sooner or later..." he muttered under his breath. Phones picked his chin up and watched Jamie walk toward the broken down building. "Geezer," he insulted in a hushed tone. He kept his anger still by blasting his music in his ears. He decided the best option was to just drift off to sleep. He picked his head up and gazed at the clouds; he then slowly closed his eyes and lost consciousness.
Anybody want to give me an update on what happened? Essays and reporting got the best of me right now, but now I'm good thankfully.
I really like the quantity of roleplayers we have right now. 4 would be exceptionally greater. 5 would be a'ight and workable. 6...hell naw. I'll give it some time to see if we attract any more players.
I like it so far. Should I go ahead and make the IC post, or should I wait for you to further complete your application?
Nicolas brushed himself off. Breaking down walls was easy enough, but the debris would always hit him. He was lucky that no large pieces fell on his head. Phones once suffered a concussion. That was not pretty. He place his hands inside his pocket and looked around. His ears perked at the sound of a familiar voice. He sighed and rolled his eyes once he noticed that it was Jamie. Nicolas did not really have time for this. He crossed his arms to show that he was not in the mood to listen, but Jamie kept on talking. The more he spoke, the more fuel was adding to Nicolas. He scoffed. "No! Screw you! You shut your ignorant mouth!" The words that spewed out of Jamie's mouth had only stirred the anger inside of Nicolas. He clenched his teeth and tightened his fists. "Do not dare to put me up for blame because of someone else's incompetence! I wanted to help, but she stopped me and insulted me by calling me a murderer!" Nicolas threw his arm back. "So I went to go find help where I was needed. If I cannot use my talents, this guild might not be the best for me." He placed his headphones around his ears. "Don't talk to me as if you care or not. The only person's name I know of is yours and a nickname I adopted for a cat person. We can start off with trust, and you trusting me that I do a lot better without someone holding my hand." Nicolas walked over to tree and sat down. "What I want most is freedom. If I am to be a frog in a well, I cannot be here."
Phones scratched his head. He had not found an enemy to fight yet. This whole adventure was becoming more of a chore. He could not even find any members of his supposed guild. Nicolas then began walking toward another wall. He expected that he was not going to find anything entertaining inside. The sound mage decided to head outside. He then began smashing a few walls. He suspected that if no guild members are nearby, he could just run away and ditch all them. They will probably be too busy to see him escaping. It was genius!
I was not really aware of what rangers...how they operate. I never understood them. You can be a ranger, sure thing. It's not a flip of a coin; its more of a twenty dice roll. I just put the two most obvious ones as suggestions. (I think I did.) What do you have in mind?
