Captain Tarquin H Meulemann

Born into the nobility as the son of an Imperial Baron, Tarquin served as a junior officer in the Emperor's army during EWI. He quickly gained a reputation as a stoic front-line leader, the kind of officer who would walk calmly at the forefront of his men into enemy fire. His unflappable countenance and reckless disregard for his own safety saw that he would never be promoted beyond Lieutenant in the Imperial Army, which prized tactical sense as well as honour. Instead he emigrated to Gallia after the war's end, hoping to leverage his significant experience to secure a position in the Royal Guard. Instead he found himself relegated to command of a Town Watch unit, one of many that would find themselves folded into the Gallian Militia during the Imperial invasion. Seeing the war as an opportunity to prove himself, Tarquin volunteered to command the newly formed 12th Company of the 9th Militia Regiment. He is respected by his men, if mocked for his stiff upper lip personality. Tarquin can often be found on the battlefield wielding an archaic sabre, standing out of cover in the face of the enemy. How he has survived thus far is a mystery, but one thing is certain; Captain Tarquin H Meulemann is one tough, sardonic son of a bitch.

Personality: Sig is a rather lax person with an easygoing, all forgiving disposition. He however, tries to be a man of honor and chivalry, and for that very reason he strives to make his word have the same weight as law. A bon vivant and rogue in his free time, he's more than often found partying with junior members or bringing ladies to his bunk. Sig has also a vivid interest for weaponry, much like a child always seeking new toys, and he can be quite focused on researching and repairing tanks, whom he affectively calls his "babies". Sig's loyalty is set on stone, both by his honor code and his loyalty to comrades in arms. However, he is also more than capable of talking back to superiors if they're being negligent or foul, a bad habit that has bit him in the back sometimes.

Bio:Sig hails from the Kingdom of Fhirald. Originally a middle-class child with a rather strong fascination for innovation and technology, he enlisted in the army as engineer, in order to eventually become a top researcher in his homeland. Unluckily for him, the hammer of EW1 struck Fhirald hard, and soon he was fielded as a tank officer while the world kept crashing down around himself. Nevertheless, Sig fought back with immense ferocity as his duty compelled him to do so, stubbornly clinging to what shreds of weaponry and men had at his disposal, and not surrendering until the entire kingdom did, earning himself the nickname "Dragon". After the war, Sig survived the purge by virtue of the courage displayed against overwhelming odds and his inventive and resourceful mind, and was soon incorporated in the Imperial army. Sig eventually reached the rank of Captain as well as earning himself a place among Imperial weapon researchers.

However, Sig's career was halted suddenly when he admonished a superior Imperial officer with a jaw-breaking punch for desecrating a war graveyard while drunk. Sigismund was demoted to a 2nd Lieutenant and Court Martialed. It was then when he caught the attention of the 655 squadron, who offered him a spot as tank driver, due to having an unique combination of militar background, honor and loyalty, and enough scientific background to perform research in the spot if it was deemed necessary.

Personality: A rather stiff woman. Enforcing that her orders are carried out.

Bio: The prodigy of her father. Who's genius started the Federations Wonder Weapon program back in the first Europan War. And she has since continued the program. Introducing new vehicles and weapons, which have allowed for quick and early domination in the invasion of Gallia. The crews that serve under her have, through many means, come to respect her and understand that her word is final. Her word only being countered by Maximilian himself or his officers.

She came to be interested in commanding these magnificent metal beasts that she's created, and thus commands one of the vehicles directly from time to time. During the times in which she doesn't crew one, she watches and commands the regiment from a reasonable distance, accompanied by a small, two man guard and a armored car.

Personality
Marcus is focused and professional in all aspects of his life, an exemplar of Imperial self-discipline. He is rarely flustered and is well-known for making brutally efficient decisions on the battlefield, sometimes sacrificing allies to give him the advantage. He does, however, value his subordinates and will fight furiously to ensure their safety both on and off the battlefield. Marcus doesn't have much of a sense of humour, instead preferring stoic pragmatism at all times.

Bio
Forged in the fires of modern war, Lieutenant Beirmann first served on the western front against the Federation. When his tank got cut off behind enemy lines, Marcus took his crew on a stealthy killing spree as he raided Federation supply lines and convoys up and down the bocage. When he ran out of ammunition, Marcus commandeered an enemy tank and continued his rampage until the severely weakened Federal forces retreated westward and he was able to link up with forward elements of the Imperial Army. By the time he and his crew were re-issued a tank, they had destroyed twenty-nine Federation tanks and dozen of supply trucks. He went on to serve a further two years on the western front, distinguishing himself as one of the Empire's most skilled aces. Eventually, he was transferred to the interior to co-command a newly organised experimental formation dubbed Squadron 655. By the time of the invasion of Gallia, Sqrn 655 had trialed several new vehicles and had moved onto super-heavy designs by the savant Lynette Mooringstar. Serving as combat commander of the unit and commander of the experimental main battle tank Siegfried, Lieutenant Marcus Beirmann is a force to be reckoned with.

Appearance: Lukas has black hair, blue eyes, stands just over 6' tall, and possesses many scars across his pale skin.

Weapons and Equipment: Imperial Goll Pistol and standard tank crew gear. Despite tank crew almost never being issued them, he always has one grenade stashed on his person while in uniform.

Personality: Loyal, helpful, somewhat paranoid, and incredibly bloodthirsty/vengeful. If you wrong him or is friends, he will chase you to the ends of the earth. He is also somewhat on the quiet side, but wouldn't be considered antisocial as he will happily carry on a conversation if approached.

Bio: A foreigner to the empire, Lukas arrived at its borders nearly a decade ago under a different name. Abandoning it and taking the name 'Lukas Glockner', he set about building a new life there in the fastest way he knew how: by joining the Imperial Army. Despite the fact that the army was notoriously slow to warm to people not of Imperial birth, Lukas quickly rose through the ranks as a tank gunner. To be frank, He was one of the best gunners they had ever seen, able to hit distant targets with almost supernatural accuracy even when adverse conditions like poor weather or his tank being in motion presented themselves. It was this skill that eventually lead to him being assigned to Squadron 655 to assist in the field trials of experimental cannons, rockets and other launcher systems.

Despite his age, Lukas has been all over the place and has a lot of stories to tell. He seems to have made a hobby of memorizing folktales from a number of different nations. Recounting stories of his travels, legends he's heard, and myths to those who would ask are some of the few times he will actually become passionate in a conversation. Tales of the Valkyrur especially interest him, and if one were to search his quarters, they would find a small library of books dedicated to them.

Just after the beginning weeks of EWII, Lukas' performance began to falter. The reason for this became clear when a superior checked his correspondence. One of his best friends, who had joined the army with him, had been killed in a clash outside a federation town. It took a few days to get over his grief, but after that, Lukas's performance returned to normal with one major exception: His eagerness to kill and destroy those who opposed his empire had increased tenfold. Blaming the war (and more specifically: Those who opposed them in the war) for the death of his friend, Lukas has channeled all of his grief into striking down those who would stand against him and his squad. Outside of combat this has little effect on him, but in combat, the maniacal laughing and streams of curses pouring from him when ever he got a kill would be impossible to ignore if not for the noisy environment of the inside of a tank. Once or twice this behavior has landed his file on the desk of a superior with a note recommending his withdraw from active combat, but the response has always been "He's one of our best and doesn't seem to be out of control. We still need him.".

Even with Syrus tagging along for the ride, the flight to Timber was long and uneventful. All around the two of them, the other SeeDs chattered back and forth over their next assignment; some were keen to get to grips with the Galbadians, while others were grateful to have been assigned to a backwater like Timber. Duncan privately suspected that someone would be disappointed on this one... With his mission plan in place and the objectives he had been given, he was well aware of how much blood the team would be spilling. If Timber was peaceful now, that wouldn't last long once SeeD arrived. He was pulled from his thoughts by a sudden change in air pressure causing his ears to pop. A burst of static came through his personal communicator. 'Sir, we are approaching your drop point. Stealth systems are engaged, but we can't guarantee local defences haven't spotted us; look out for company out there. Godspeed.' Preferring to answer the pilot with only a confirmatory comclick, Duncan was nevertheless grateful for the thought. Nodding to Syrus, he jumped from the low-flying airship, confident that he wouldn't need to slow his decent magically; they were only a few feet up after all. Once again the trip to Timber via the city aqueduct and sewer system was mostly silent as Duncan took the lead, prioritising stealth over speed.

By the time they reached the safehouse in the warehouse district, the others had already arrived. Duncan strode into the building without preamble and took the time to explore every nook and cranny; they wouldn't be here long, but for safeties sake he needed every scrap of information. It was an old Timber Army air raid shelter extending under pair of civilian warehouses... Judging by the outdated fixtures and design, it must have been designed well before the fall of Timber seventeen years earlier. Despite being obsolete, that could be considered a good thing; it likely wouldn't be on many modern maps of the town. To be frank, it was fucking ugly. Solid concrete construction and metal supports didn't leave much room for comfort. After leaving the team an hour to get settled in and pick sleeping quarters, Duncan called everyone to what he decided would be the briefing room in the centre of the sprawling complex. '... Well boys and girls, we're here. There isn't a whole lot to do now, bar securing the building and prepping for the contact to show up tonight.' A stray thought stuck. 'Oh yeah... Trinser and Joranis, you... fuck, I hate using surnames. Gracelyn and Jericho. You guys are in charge of provisions.' He nodded cheerfully toward the camouflaged entrance to the city which led to a public toilet of all places. 'Bring me back a Mars bar, will you?'

In the interests of keeping things alive, I'm moving us all on to Timber. if you guys want to post how your characters got there in your next posts, go ahead. Otherwise we'll begin with the team settling into the new safehouse and meeting the contact. Next IC morning, we'll move onto the missions.
