Well then. I'm exceedingly British, rather sarcastic and I love a good shipfest in my RPs. Also male. Funny, that. Fair warning, I will treat you like an adult. That means I will mock you, point out your mistakes and most likely /cringe when you do something really autistic. Being an adult means accepting criticism and working to improve yourself, not ignoring it. And if I need calling out on my bullshit, just do it. Please. Nothing is worse than not realising that you've said or done something stupid til a week after the fact.

I currently live in Japan, so my posting hours are... weird. Please bear with me.

Patrols, paperwork and the sneering contempt of delinquent students... Life in JUDGEMENT had always been a slog, but with the extra duties dumped on the new Student Council, Wataru was finding it hard to fit in enough study time. He and the rest of the council had alternated between trying to keep the peace in and around the Academy and cementing their position within the student body; either would have been a full-time job at the best of times. With the mysterious murder on the first day and rumours that a rogue esper was responsible, it was all they could do to keep order. Wataru was halfway through his second patrol that day when a student interrupted his thoughts. 'Hey, you're JUDGEMENT, right?' The girl pointed animatedly at his armband, perhaps relieved to have found an enforcer so soon. 'Remember the alarm the other day? I think I know who did it!' She leant in close, treating Wataru to a conspiratorial smile. He leaned back ever so slightly in response, trying to remain a decent distance away as she explained herself. 'I see...', he replied slowly, weighing up the situation in his mind. The rest of the council was pretty unified in their suspicions of a certain classmate, especially one of the Vice Presidents; Wataru chided himself for not remembering their names yet, but he trusted their intuition. Which meant that his actions would depend on which girl he found within that clubroom...

He disentangled himself from the gossipy girl with a hint of disgust and peered around the doorway, casting a vague mirage over his features to mask his presence. The electronics club wasn't the largest or best budgeted club on campus, that much he knew from settling the annual club budget, which was one of the few council duties that he had actually enjoyed. With only a few registered members, it was something of a quiet group and not at all the sort of place one would expect to find the most likely culprit. And so he found only a few people, most he didn't recognise, quietly toiling away at a number of workbenches doing inexplicable things with soldering irons and batteries. Hardly troublemaking material. Still, he had a responsibility to investigate the irritating girl's report...

Wandering in slowly, Wataru gave the club president a friendly wave and explained that he was just on patrol, then took then time to tour the room slowly, peering over the shoulders of each club member as unobtrusively as possible, all the while searching for this supposed hammer. By the time he reached the last bench, Wataru had all but lost interest in the technology on display and so was pleasantly surprised to find the hammer in one of the club member's possession. 'Excuse me there, mind if I have a quick word?' He moved around from behind the girl, sitting on the stool next to her work area and was surprised to realise that he recognised the face. 'Otonashi? Didn't know you were into electronics?' His thoughts raced, trying to plot the situation with this new information; Otonashi had been speaking to him when the alarm had gone off and had entered the class before him. Logically she couldn't have set it off. Unless... He decided to feign ignorance about the hammer for the moment, cracking a smile instead. 'You know, I never got to finish what I was saying the other day. Do you mind if I ask what your power is?'
PM it to me and we'll thrash out the details there.
Cheers, we aim to please. We still have spaces open, especially since one or two of us may be going on the inactive list soon.
This class is intriguing but it is 2am. Take notes plz. And pictures.
I feel a little bad for bringing up my original complaint now...
Well. Eika.
@Kal-El
To clarify point 2; your CS says that Tsurara won't leave him alone, implying that she pursues him for one reason or another. In the circumstances (i.e. him being Touma), it is reasonable to assume that you mean that she is either constantly attacking him Misaka-style, or part of his soon-to-be harem (point 1).
Point 3 is broadly correct though; if he didn't have that then he's just an expy without Touma's signature ability. Which is better.

But I'll bow out of this discussion now, because it's out of my hands. Just my opinions on your character.
For a long moment Wataru was sure he had offended the girl. Panicking slightly, he ran one hand through his hair, wondering if perhaps it was a mess or... Luckily her expression soon relaxed, at least a little bit. 'Otonashi-san, then? I look forward to studying together; let's have a good year.' Flashing a genuine smile, he mentally analysed the girl and her reactions; Otonashi was nervous, furtive. She seemed embarrassed by her level, which he could understand; most of their classmates would likely be 3s and 4s. Wataru himself was only a low level 3, so he could sympathise. 'Do you mind if I ask-' His question was cut off by the entrance of that blue woman, presumably their homeroom teacher. Giving Otonashi a friendly wink, Wataru faced forward and gathered his class materials. The lesson seemed interesting enough; he hadn't decided whether or not to participate in the hybrid program, but the theory behind magic sounded fascinating. Hoping to get right to grips with the mechanics, Wataru found himself slightly disappointed when a round of introductions began. He waited patiently, averting his eyes from Tsurura's antics and the general weirdness in the room; there were a ton of JUDGEMENT members present and they barely responded to the clear breach of school rules and basic human decency before them... He started resolutely ahead, awaiting his turn. When it finally came, he opened his mouth to speak... only to be cut off once again, this time by the screaming introduction of one Yagami... Wataru took a deep, bracing breath, stood and introduced himself in a dignified, if flat voice. 'Satou Wataru, JUDGEMENT and Student Council. I am a level 3 esper. And now...' He turned heavily to the errant student, his smile frozen. 'Yagami, is it? I have no doubt that we'll be seeing you a lot in the coming months...' He cocked his head, listening out for a school-wide announcement; if Hybrid Academy was anything like a normal school, the fire alarm would trigger a tannoy call confirming a fire. When none came he sighed deeply and turned to the front once more. 'Sorry Sensei, may I go to the faculty office to check this alarm? I am with JUDGEMENT, so I know the procedures.' Despite being satched though to the skin, Wataru kept his expression neutral and calm, in stark contrast to the irritation welling up inside. There was no immediate threat of fire, so most urgent was getting those damn sprinklers turned off...
I only break laws when I'm drinking.
Probably shouldn't be so proud of that.
Tetsuya isn't Touma and we are all "technically" the main characters so...ya know

Trying to phrase this without sounding combative... and failing. /sigh

Let's be honest here; he is Touma, albeit with different coloured hair and a pet dog. He even has an automatic harem making clause and an implied relationship with Tsurara which is identical to Touma and Misaka's.

I don't want to start an argument here and I'm no GM but throw me a bone; I'm just seeing a Touma expy that goes beyond imitation.
