Personality: Randolph is an ambitious and focussed individual with a dangerous reputation, which he has carefully cultivated, of one who is capable of literally anything in the pursuit of his job. No terror tactic too vile, no atrocity too base, nothing beyond him. This has earned him a quick dash up the ranks, though not much in the way of friends, as no-one knows how quickly the Gestapo can descend on you than Gestapo men themselves. Randolph is not troubled by his apparent social deficiency, preferring solitary activities and study to recreation and the like. He regularly pulls all-nighters and as a result is currently unmarried. What he hides from others is that making contact with other minds somewhat influences his own, causing him to pick up some aspects of his victim's personality; he is beginning to change in thought patterns and finds things appealing that were once disgusting, and vice versa. 

Likes: The Hunt, 50's-era literature and art, libraries. He has recently acquired a taste for decadent pre-Victory art.

Dislikes: The consumption of alcohol, loud and crowded places.

Fears: Becoming the quarry in the next purge. The changes happening within his head.

Appearance: Randolph's nickname comes from the colour of his uniform - griftgrun - which seems to have sunk into him and most civilian suits he has are in that colour as well, so it almost seems like he's never "off-duty". He is still in his prime, though he was never an especially athletic man, standing tall and slim at 6"2. He has slick dark hair, sharp brown eyes and wears horn-rimmed spectacles for reading. 

Relations(Friends and Family): Randolph has few friends and generally prefers his own company. He has begun a slow, awkward courtship of Elsa, a secretary in his office, though primarily this is to stop people talking about why a man would stay unmarried so long. His family consists solely of a brother, a blue-collar factory worker who he does not get on with at all but who is extremely keen to exploit Randolph's politically useful position to denounce people who annoy him.

Location(Where do they live?): Randolph lives and works in Manhattan, New York. He operates out of the Gestapo office on Wall Street, where the bankers are intensely scrutinised regularly, and he has a small but well-appointed apartment a few blocks from the Park.

Occupation/Talents: Randolph is one of the Gestapo's finest "rat-finders", in no small part due to his power set. He works for the Gestapo's Department A, who ferret out political opponents to the party such as Communists and Liberals. He is a trained counter-intelligence officer, with a skillset that includes bureaucracy, interrogation, marksmanship and covert surveillance. 

Superhuman Ability Name: Telepathy

Ability Description: Randolph has the ability to contact, read and influence the minds of those around him. How effective he is and how "deep" he can delve into a person's mind depends heavily on how focussed he is on the task; he can read someone's surface thoughts quite easily but would have to focus intensely upon them to delve into their memories, for instance. While he can't control someone's mind, he can apply "pressure" to them, causing mental pain and anguish until they do what he wants. 

Opinion on Ubermensch: It seems quite natural to him that Ubermensch are inherently superior to regular people; after all, doesn't his status as Ubermensch make him worth ten Gestapo officers? Didn't Ubermenschen win the war? Of course, he knows that being outspoken about these views would be unpopular. 

Opinion on the Nazis: He used to be a very pro-Party man, card-carrying and everything. Contact with enough subversive minds has caused him to be less certain in his perception of the Party, as he has literally seen the Party from the perspective of those they persecute..
