Current Illness is not an indulgence which you should pay for nor is it a crime for which you should be punished.

Observant gray optics noticed one of the ex-soccer students rubbing their shin gingerly, presumably a tibia fracture sustained from an old injury on the field—if Raven had to guess. He had not been able to play in weeks and his physical and mental anguish were apparent, especially to the Lolita. It was an aura followed by three tiers. Tier one followed shallow pain and was most easily altered while tier two was physical but tier three was true emotional pain and was commonly inaccessible. Only the malevolent spirit could touch tier three but given time Raven was sure she could mend it, not hinder. She watched as he pitifully pressed one laptop key at a time with a jagged index finger, resting his head on an angled palm. His chest rose with a long drawn inhale, lazily peering up to the teacher until the bell rang with freedom. His soccer buddies paid him little mind these days, finding favor in another that took his place. They waved at him before hurrying out the door in high spirits, soon another game would take place and they planned to win. Raven casually dropped her hands continuing to survey this poor soul as he soon limped out the door. She gathered her belongings, a cupcake capsule, and the letter that accidentally fluttered to the floor like a white feather. This message reminding her to the engagement she needed to attend. Little time was needed in order to fix ‘soccer guys’ turmoil. He was going the same direction as her after all. Plan of action called for inconspicuous behavior so she took a deep breath and rushed past purposely bumping into him. This caused the already troubled teen to stumble forward but fast hands grabbed onto his arm, which pulled him back to a stand before he could fall over fully…and it was done. Touch was not necessarily needed to help dissolve the pain but it did help, especially if tending to the exact spot of discomfort. How awkward would that be however, to start massaging a student’s shin in the middle of the hallway? Raven would never. “My apologies but um, sorry, can’t stay! Bye!” She said in a cutesy manner before scurrying off toward room 12c. Before turning a corner she peeked back to look at the boy as he was arching a brow at his leg able to walk without pain, and a satisfied smirk crossed her pale lips. Brownie points for her she thought happily. A hand nervously straightened out her ivory button down shirt and black pleaded skirt, with eyes catching the hands on her wristwatch. Time was rapidly passing as she was struggling with trying to find this damn room when ashen eyes finally spotted the door, which she had walked past time and time again. With a shake of her head in ire she inched forward, turning the knob to enter a quiet place. There were few voices but that did not dissuade her from chiming in. “Hello.” Raven greeted with a warm smile and light wave while scanning the room. None of these people were familiar except for a few of their faces. Raven tended to keep to herself due to her ability. Not only was being surrounded by an immense amount of stranger’s pain exhausting, she sometimes had the negative effect of causing more of it to unsuspecting people—especially those closest to her. “I baked cupcakes for everyone. They are organic.” Cheerfully she stated to the group before biting her lower lip pondering how to place these without being rude. “Pardon.” Reaching over the man with feet nonchalantly perched upon the wooden table she carefully set down the rounded container. Slender fingers with tidy long nails lifted the tupperware top revealing the contents inside. They were beautiful, each circular dessert with either a red or pink rose. Raven had been practicing her frosting skills but the cake itself may prove deceiving. She could create lovely pieces sure, but making them taste good was a whole different trial and she had not taste tested this batch. “Are there many more joining us?” Quizzically Raven asked after casting a worrisome glance at the little masterpieces, too scared to try one herself.

Luna Flores.
“Mr. Dobson, he’s alright?” Luna said with a bit of relief mixed with grief. Truly she wanted to find her brother. He had been a crutch at times of trouble, a non-dependable crutch but one just the same. Dez also started that trouble she had to wiggle from but he was all she had in life. Underneath this night of chaos and bypassing the anxiety she had begun to feel some small sense of serene with Dez gone. Unfortunately, no matter where he was she was still affected by his haphazardness. Perhaps she would have to distance herself from his destructive nature and move away once and for all but that would come at a later time. Luna looked to both Logan and Zoey in silence trying to figure out which path she should take. Going back to help the officer was certainly the right way to go but they would probably fare in more trouble in the long run, and her brother had the silver tongue to get out of many a sticky situation. On the other hand she wanted to see if Dez was ok, sure she would have to follow a trail of darkness and unstable earth to find him but she would have the answer. Luna did not want to choose and upset one of the helpful students, confrontation was something she tried relentlessly to stray from but they couldn’t wait here. They needed to act fast. With a long drawn out sigh Luna nodded and began to open her mouth but a deafening noise filled the air instead, disturbing the soil beneath them, and interrupting any words she would have spoken. Collapsing underneath the three’s feet the unsteady ledge gave way causing their bodies to plummet to the bottom of the humid cavern in seconds flat. Pain immediately made itself known along her back and head but numbed at the shape hastily approaching.
Dez & Luna Flores.
Fingers tapped on the glowing crystal’s point as he tried to figure out what this could possibly be. A lost piece of history no less but even that sounded implausible. Could science explain what the group gawked at or would it remain a mystery? While in thought he yanked his hand back from the razors edge, a few droplets of blood descending to the ground only to nurture the thirsty soil. “Shit.” He winced before hearing a plea for help and his eyes looked over to Luca whose nostrils were streaming with blood, and the crystal’s luminous rays altered from soothing azure to a terrifying crimson. “Get away from it!” Dez shouted to both of the students as a crippling pain shot throughout his body, causing him to yell in agony. The space around them began to tremble as rocks began to unbind themselves detaching to fall onto the area around them. Echoing of these minerals caving in were an alarming sound to a backdrop, which was an even scarier sight before them. Dez grew overwhelmed with fear and instead of trying to help he ran stumbling out of the space to find the exit. Without words his legs propelled him away from the crystal and the students like a demon out of hell, and he never looked back.
It took a moment to compose herself, straining to collect her baring’s as weak arms tried to assist in lifting herself. “Are you two alright?“ Luna inquired while cringing slightly from the sudden headache then gasped seeing her brother with blood streaks down his shirt. His nose dripping as fear was trapped within his eyes like an animal who realizes the hunter has won. “Dez, what is going on? Where are the others?” She finally stood and took him by the shoulders to steady herself. There were so many questions but he seemed caught in a vicious nightmare, not even looking at her but through her—as if he were in another dimension. “…I—I don’t know…I” Without waiting for his hazy respond Luna sprinted forward her heart nearly beating out of her chest. Dez and left some students behind to fend for himself though she hoped he had escaped to find help but she knew that was not the true reason. She had little time to think while running down the falling corridors, the overhead ceilings were beginning to sprinkle dirt down upon her hair instead of rain. This place was going to collapse with them inside and she needed a miracle to get whoever was left out of here. Breathing heavily she saw a red glow and turned too quickly her foot sliding like on ice and she fell over to her side managing to scrape and bang her elbow hard. Adrenaline surged through her and she felt no pain at this moment. Upon standing hazel hues had to squint as the crystal was emitting such bright color. “Hello?” She yelled before covering her ears from a burst of noise the item released, hunching over from the sheer velocity and force of it. Could this object be angry? Unable to defend itself or flee it began to fight back with everything it did have? Luna was beginning to experience an ache in her eyes from staring into the light occasionally, and she could not help it. These large spiked crystal lattices were telepathically beckoning her to stay, veins inside the crystal were snaking forward wanting her to reach out and place her hand upon them. Like the effects of a strobe light she found herself at certain locations without moving, and she tore her hand away from the malicious substance trying once again to find the students. Sight grew fuzzier as she wiped her eyes, retracting smears of blood instead of salty tears. Struggling to find their bodies she feared she would become trapped down here. “Can anyone hear me?” She pleaded as a decent size chunk of wall freed itself and heavily dropped to the ground. They did not have much time to escape.
Alrighty, updated the active/inactive list. we lost a few but we'll continue. i will have my post finished today, one day late sorry 'bout that. ><' EDIT: i'll be glad when i am down to one character but that won't be for a while yet. not a fan of playing two. anywho, when did you guys want a time skip?
what faction are you going to choose Churro? & what happens if we do not get players for all six factions? will they be npcs?
my cs should be done by tuesday. that's my off day & i can really dive into it then. ^^
Since interest has already been expressed for the Vaulters and Broken Lords, I suppose that leaves me with taking the Cultists.
I am making an Ardent Mage but:
Faction: Any of the above besides Necrophages or Cultists.
unless Churro changed it but i didn't want you typing up a whole cs & then find out that they are off the market...that would be unfortunate.
I've been searching for a picture for my Ateshi Zealot or whatever she is gonna be...needless to say it is a bit difficult but i am getting closer! will start working on my cs! ^^
Feel absolutely free to shape that world & lore a bit- I tried to be as nonspecific as possible to allow some freedoms while creating the "feel" for each faction, if that makes sense.
makes complete sense. ^^
