Hey there, I'm the GM of 'NCquest' and I'm looking for new players. We currently have two, and I would like three more.
Essentially, NCQuest is sort of like if you put the early Armored Core games, mixed in the cooler elements of the later ones, put in a WW2 film, a tiny amount of Ace Combat themeyness, and just a dash of Gundam, before mixing that shit up in your finest blender. Not up to 11, though. Most of the time.
In it, the players are some of the inhabitants of one of the very few surface colonies long, long after a nuclear war that forced people to go into underground 'Burrows'. Over time, the governments collapsed and were replaced by various super corporations. Technology and infrastructure re-grew, to roughly the level of the 1940's.
The players' colony, Smith's Rest, is in dire straits, however. There isn't enough food, water, medicine, nor money to go around. In a last ditch effort, the leaders of the town called in one last favor with one of the smaller corporations to acquire 5 beaten up standard model NC's. NC's are the ultimate war machine by far... but they require very, very special people to operate, due to why they're so great: A neural connection interface.
The players, then, would use these NC's and act as a sort of mercenary team, doing contracts for the various super-corporations. Thankfully, just as a war seems to be starting...
TL:DR YOU PILOT THE GIANT ROBOT. YOU FIGHT SHIT THAT SHOULD BE IN A WW2 MUSEUM. YOU FIGHT THE GIANT SUPERWEAPONS. YOU GET THE BOUNTY MONEY. MAYBE SAVE THE WORLD. TRY TO SAVE YOUR TOWN.
A few final notes though before I give the link (it already started, sry): The later players are late because in-universe their stock NC's are having issues with the neural connection interface. Simple to fix issues, but they can be time consuming. Thus, they're 'out of focus' anyway.
As well, this is probably going to be a long term thing. I'll prune out the parts I think the party wouldn't like, but there's still a lot of RP I have planned, y'know? It may take months, possibly close to a year, even.
Finally, if you keep on posting, I sure as hell will. I may be late, but if you keep faith in me, I'll do my damnedest to keep faith in you. Y'know?
