Life Is Strange - Before The Storm AU RP
Backstory
Blackwell Academy is a senior high school located in Arcadia Bay, Oregon. The school specialises in Science and Arts, and is currently led by Ray Wells. The school is built on old Native American land, shared between the natives and the early colonial settlers.Blackwell is partially owned by, and financially funded by the Prescott family. In 1998, they donated the dormitory building to Blackwell.
In 1910, Jeremiah Blackwell founded the academy, striving for excellence among the student body. Jeremiah's statue resides at the front of the building, bearing the motto "The future needs excellence".
Blackwell Academy's method and subjects of general education unlike the standard high school. Faculty teach a range of subjects from science, mathematics, literature, history and photography. Additionally, the school faculty and student body attempt to promote healthy living and school-orientated activities. Physical education, such as Blackwell's football team, the Bigfoots and their swimming team, the Otters, is also present within the academy.
Starting Story
The starting date for our story begins on Wednesday, May 5th, 2010. Approximately 3 years before the events of Max Caulfield returning to Arcadia bay. Most of the characters we know and love are still assimilating into the life of Blackwell Academy as freshman, how they will cope with life at Blackwell and the relationships that are formed will be up to the players.The story may exhibit some signs of supernatural intervention but will not be including any powers such as time travel or anything of that sort.

RULES
Always stay true to the character. Remember who they are and don't go out of character in attempts to try and get the best outcome for them. Such behaviour is considered Powergaming and is not allowed.
Remember what your character knows. Knowledge obtained outside of RP may not be used within RP. For example, knowing a character's name before they introduced themselves. Such behaviour is considered Metagaming and is not allowed. If a mistake is made, it must be corrected immediately before moving on.
This is a serious roleplay community, meaning that low-effort roleplay is frowned upon. Don't let your RP be reduced to short and uninterested dry one liners and don't rely on everyone else to be creative for you. The experience is made by people and you are one of those people. Nobody wants to interact with a horde of "Mary Sue" characters and players who don't give a damn. As stated before, a part of good roleplay is giving others a chance to do something meaningful and interesting. A part of fail roleplay on the other hand is doing the opposite - preventing them from doing so. Don't do that. Think before you act.
