Locke — Roleplayer Guild

Welcome

I am Locke. I'm no stranger to the roleplaying world, though I might be considered "new" to this here site. For my first interest check, I thought I'd try something a little different. Ordinarily I am used to writing MxF and MxM pairings, both in roleplays and in personal writing projects; but this time I'm going to flex my writing muscles a little bit more and take up one (or several) FxF tales. And I'm hoping to find partners to assist and help me further advance my craft.

Guidelines

---> Be at least 18. Or better, be at least 21.
---> Be willing to roleplay on-site, through PMs. I don't go off-site.
---> Be a good, experienced writer. I get that typos and mistakes happen, but it only takes so many grammatical and spelling errors to put me off a story, in addition to a lack of description and flow in a writing style.
---> I don't care what gender you are IRL. As long as you're willing to play a female to my female, we're coolbeans.
---> If you're planning to play a damsel-in-distress who needs to be rescued at every turn, don't even bother. I like myself some strong females, and will likely be playing the same. Note that "strong" doesn't necessarily mean in a physical sense.
---> Please communicate. I'll be upfront with you if something bothers me or if I find myself unable to continue with the roleplay, and I'd like the same courtesy in return. It doesn't necessarily mean being rude - just honest.
---> I don't have any "limits" I can think of, though if something upsets or unsettles me, I'll be sure to let you know immediately. Likewise, let me know if you have any "limits" personally - ideally before we begin the story.

Plots

---> Spoils of War { Reserved }

Word has been spreading for days now; a conquering empire's army is encroaching slowly on its neighboring kingdom, led by a notoriously ruthless general known as the "Black Lion". Stories of his prowess in battle and his cruelty abound. Your village is the first to be attacked, its houses razed to the ground. Your family and friends are slaughtered. You fight back as best as you can, but are taken prisoner and forced to kneel at the Black Lion's feet. He removes his helmet as you look upon his face for the first time, only to find that "he" is in fact a woman. She then gives you a choice: Servitude, or death.

You are a princess, the only daughter of your parents and betrothed to the crown prince of a savage desert kingdom as part of an alliance. On your wedding day, you arrive at the palace and the kingdom's best warriors put on a show as a form of wedding entertainment. You are impressed by one masked warrior in particular, only for it to be revealed that she is your new husband's sister, also a princess. Since you were wed into a kingdom of warriors, your husband instructs his sister to train you in the arts of battle.

---> The Thief and the Blade { Reserved }

You are a skilled thief. After pinching one too many nobles' precious things, one of them hires an assassin to take you out of the picture permanently. The assassin arrives and prepares to complete the contract, only for you to recognize your best friend from your childhood village. The assassin recognizes you as well, and cannot bring herself to kill you. But since she has violated the terms of her contract, a bounty is now put on her head as well.

---> The Lark and the Crown

You are a traveling bard with a sweet voice and deft fingers. But you are also an assassin, carrying out your contracts as you move from town to town, from tavern to tavern. During one of your performances you see armed men wrestling a struggling woman out the back door. As they do so she catches your eye and her gaze pleads for help. Feeling sympathy, you follow her outside and kill her would-be kidnappers, only for her to reveal that she is an illegitimate child of the king and heiress to the throne since her father's passing, whom his political opponents want out of the picture. You decide to train her in your craft, and help her seek revenge against those who want her dead.

---> Strangers Searching { Reserved }

You are the only daughter of a highly successful, and very wealthy businessman. After your latest shitty break-up, you attempt to drown your sorrows at the fancy bar of a five-star hotel, only to strike up a conversation with the temp bartender. You eventually become friends - and perhaps more, but it seems as if the bartender may be hiding some dark secrets - secrets you're determined to uncover. Especially when you discover a secret stash of weapons and disguises in her apartment.

---> The Girl and the Beast

You, a simple village girl, are excited when your king offers you a job you can't refuse: To be personal handmaiden and servant to his only daughter. The princess resides, alone, in an old stone castle in the middle of the woods, far removed from civilization and those she calls her family. When you arrive you find these arrangements a bit odd; but as time passes, you realize that the princess is stricken by a curse that transforms her each night into a drooling, savage beast with an insatiable bloodlust. You realize the king meant to send you as a sacrifice to appease the monster, so that its appetite will be sated for just one more night. But, oddly enough, she does not hurt you. As neighboring villagers continue to fall victim to the creature, you must figure out how to break the curse before the king is forced to slay his only child.

---> Advent of the Witch

You are descended from a secret, but prestigious line of witch hunters. When strange deaths begin to occur in a rural town, you arrive to investigate, striking up a friendship with the young proprietress of a local historical inn. You soon realize the chaos and carnage are due to a coven of young witches eager to test their newly-inherited abilities, and will not stop until they are slain. You also discover that your new friend is also a witch - but whose moral compass is tuned more to good than evil. Together you must stop the new coven before their blood sacrifices summon a terrible evil into the world.

---> Magic Awakens { Reserved }

You are a young mage-in-training from a humble background enrolled at a prestigious academy for mages. Mages are your kingdom's first line of defense, and at the end of your final year the best amongst you are chosen to become part of the royal guard. Excited to begin your journey, you encounter another young woman from one of the kingdom's wealthiest and most influential families, and both of you become bitter rivals. But when the academy is attacked, the both of you - the academy's most gifted students - must work together to unravel a sinister scheme to destroy this kingdom of mages from within.

---> The Fall { Reserved }

You are the city's burning flame of hope, a superheroine whose face is plastered on the cover of every newspaper, every billboard. You are also part of the Sentinels' Alliance, a group of metahumans dedicated to the protection of the city. And yet, one day, your friend and former lover turns from you and from the Alliance, vanishing for years only to reappear as a supervillain determined to destroy the Alliance. But why?
