My work schedule just completely changed for the worse, so expect me to be less active, unable to run my own RPs, but I should hopefully be able to keep myself in other people's RPs.

So my idea was for an RP in which we played the crew and marines of a large military starship, patrolling Humanity's various colonies to protect the United Earth Star Alliance from various rebel factions that seek independence. I'm looking for a larger group, around 6-8 players minimum, as I want to show the different events in the RP from different crew aspects, like have the engineering officer and a Marine Sergeant both RP their views of the current space/planetary battle going on. The key to this setting, is that as of the start of the RP, humanity is still unaware of any non-earth-based Sentient life, so no aliens yet. I just want to see if there's any interest in this before I make up a CS.
Mathias nodded in agreement when Zhang gestured to the Radiation Roost, and followed him in its direction. When Zhang stopped to finally introduce himself and offer a hand to shake, Mathias shook it vigorously, and said "Dr. Mathias Johnson. I used to work way up north at the Institute, huge science complex, with some of the most advanced technology known to man. I was head of their medical department for a good number of years, but things took a turn for the worse, and now I'm out here, helping people as best as I can with what I've got left. It's good to meet a new friendly face out here in the wasteland." He then continued to walk into the Radiation Roost with Zhang, glancing over the people inside. "Perhaps you'd allow me to purchase you a drink as a good-will gesture, Zhang?"
Dr. Mathias Johnson had been absentmindedly wandering the town called South of the Border with his dog Max, looking for a place to set up his medical station. He noted that far more than a few people were in need of help only he could offer, so he felt this was as good a town as any to get started. He just hoped he'd finally been able to out-run his reputation, seeing as how the last time it caught up with him, three people were shot, and a small shack exploded, he was due for a good day in a town.

Suddenly, a large Brahman-drawn cart nearly ran him over, knocking him to the ground with a small thud. Max rushed over to make sure he was okay, and after reassuring the dog he was fine, he looked up to see a man of presumed Chinese descent offering to help him up, saying "Sorry comrade! Do you need any help?". Mathias took the man's hand and hoisted himself up, then brushed the dust off himself, saying "Why, thank you my friend. I appreciate the help." He looked over the man's cart briefly, noting the apparent Communist propaganda stowed aboard it. "Well, based on the contents of your cart, you seem to be out to help more than just me. I take it you were raised in a hold-over communist society lasting from before the Pre-war era?" Mathias reached a hand down to pet Max as he spoke, not taking his eyes off the man in front of him in order to show vivid attention and interest.
@ClocktowerEchos That all depends on certain things, so I guess we'll see.
@ClocktowerEchos I'll be nabbing that opportunity soon
Jack's sword can cut through effectively anything, but the key flaw is that it will never harm an innocent. Not really applicable, unless Shadow Eternity sends kidnapped conscripts after us as the first wave or something like that. Jack can take a fair amount of damage for a human, but he's more of a glass cannon in terms to everyone else's abilities. But he's also very skilled at not getting hit in the first place.
Well, given enough time and technology, and the Doc can probably make that more true than you can possibly imagine.
That is probably my favorite OC-to-canon connection I have ever found. Well done.
@Suzy BlueWell the Hoover Dam battles is a glaring one, but I feel like there's a piece I'm missing....
Honestly, he probably has more in common with the Enclave scientists than anyone else. Hell, depending on things, he might have even gotten along with the Master. But yet he still enjoys healing people all the same.
