Darth Hexxus

Slashes through the furniture as it comes flying towards me, sending the chunks of smoldering wood flying to either side of me. "Come on now! Is that the best you can do, Clone?! Chairs and tables?!" Before he can lift more, I throw a blast of lightning in his direction.

Iwan Starsnow

I leap out of the way, and the lightning strikes one of the statues, blowing a small chunk out of it's side. I roll to my feet and hold my lightsaber defensively, ready to block whatever attack he throws at me next.

Darth Hexxus

"Pathetic! I can sense the weakness in you. You obviously didn't inherit my abilities." I cast another blast of lighting at him, this time letting it drag across the floor after him as he tries to escape it.

Iwan Starsnow

I try to use my lightsaber to block as I run, but I am unable to catch the full blast on my blade. A few bolts break through and hit my side, sending me sprawling into the alter at the far end of the room. The wind is knocked out of me, and I can hear Gendry's obnoxious laugh echoing across the chamber.

I allow Ursa to take the offense, and I backpedal down the hall, blocking and deflecting her feral attack. I fall into the Force, going through the motions without even thinking. It is like a dance, my graceful Echani movements carrying me through each parry, dodge, and counter attack.

Through her fighting, my Echani abilities allow me to pick up Ursa’s hidden thoughts and feelings. I can sense that she is not fighting out of anger or hatred, but out of devotion to something she feel strongly about. Perhaps it is Sucal’s goals, or perhaps it is simply a devotion to Gendry. Either way, she believes she is fighting for a good cause, and that is not good.

Luckily, I can also sense her over confidence. By allowing her to think she is winning, I have drawn her into a false sense of security. I swiftly take advantage of this by finally unleashing my full abilities, knocking her blade aside and slashing up her left side. She is skilled enough to pull away as my saber slices up, saving her from any lethal injury, but she is too slow to stop me from sending several locks of her hair, as well as her left ear, spinning away from her head.

Ursa Lin

“Ahhh!” I collapse to my knees, dropping my weapons and clutching the side of my head. My fingers probe at the spot where my ear once was, and I look up in horror at the white haired woman. “I... I will not beg. Kill me quickly.” I try not to tremble as I speak.

Becca Twilight

My lightsaber cleaves through her the hilts of hers, rendering them useless. I shake my head, giving a heavy sigh before turning off my lightsaber. “Unlike your masters, I don’t kill unarmed prisoners. Get out of here, and remember the mercy I showed you. I doubt Gendry or Sucal would show you the same if you went crawling back to them a failure.”

Ursa scowls at me, but does as I tell her and runs away. Perhaps o should have taken her prisoner, but I couldn’t see the point. She was obviously not anyone of rank. Just one of Gendry’s followers. Maybe by sparing her life today, it allows her to find a better path... or perhaps not. Only time would tell.

I pull out my comm. “Jude, I’m finished up here. Did you and Korre make it out?” I wait, but there is no answer. “Jude, do you copy?” I wait longer, and when there is still no reply, I curse and put the comm away, heading in the direction they went. I pray to every god I every Alien pantheon that they aren’t in trouble.

If Becca’s fight with Ursa could be described as a dance, my fight with Gendry is a brawl. Neither of our fighting styles, my Form One and his Form Seven, involve much finesse. It is simply two angry men clashing blades.

And though I hate to admit it, he is more skilled at it than me. I spend the majority of the fight in defense mode, practically running away from him down the hall as he hacks and slashes at everything in his path. I try my best to slow him down and hopefully lead him AWAY from Korre, but I fear I won’t be able to keep this up for long.

I throw myself though a doorway that, to my surprise, leads to a sort of old church. There are statues of what I assume are Jedi standing around the candle lit chamber, and I almost immediately feel a wash of relief and a recharge of energy. As Gendry follows after me, I reach out with the Force and begin hurling chairs and benches at him. I felt bad about wrecking this sacred place, but I was confident the Jedi spirits would understand.
Armond Organa

I rush out of my chamber, wearing ceremonial armor and carrying a sword. My bodyguards follow behind me, weapons in hand. I hold my blade high and give a cry “For the Queen!”.

I skid to a holt when I see Jerus standing over the dead Devaronian. “Oh, you already got him.” Noticeably sulks. “Oh well. Once again, I am indebted to a Je’and. Thank you for your service, my friend.”

Darth Hexxus

Iwan and I circle each other. “You have been abandoned, clone. Your own allies have marked you as a disposable. When you die here, you will be remembered as nothing more than a failed experiment.”

Iwan Starsnow

It takes a lot for me to control myself. Jerus was right; Gendry was trying to get inside my head. I couldn’t let him. “It’s funny you should say that. I was about to say the exact same thing... clone!”

Darth Hexxus

With a snarl, I rush in low and Iwan come in high. We meet in the middle with a flurry of blows.
Jude Sucal

I pull my lightsaber and hold out a hand to keep Korre back. Silently, I curse myself as I realize the implication of his words. “Go away, Gendry. I won’t let you or my father have this child.”

Darth Hexxus

“I couldn’t care less about the child, but orders are orders.” Activated lightsaber. “And I don’t think you alone are going to stop me today, kid.”

Iwan Starsnow

I walk out, my lightsaber already active in my hand. “What it he isn’t alone.” I look at Korre and give her a reassuring nod.

Darth Hexxus

I step back in surprise. “Ah, the clone! How could I forget?” I notice the way he looks at Korre. “I see we share similar tastes.”

Iwan Starsnow

I ignore him, taking on a Form 1 ready stance. “Stay behind us, Korre. Jude and I have this. Right brother?” I wait a moment for Jude’s reply, but there comes none. I risk a look over my shoulder. “Brother?”

Jude Sucal

I’m holding Korre’s hand tight. My eyes meet Iwan’s briefly before I pull her and Xan’s chair away and run in the opposite direction.

Pykeon

I roll out of the way at the moment, causing Jerus to kick past me. With him so close, I try to head butt him with my sharpened horns. He is wearing armor, but I direct my head so that it hopefully hits a weak point between his helmet and chest.
Pykeon

I deflect Jerus’ attack, trying to find an opening to push past him. After a minute, I am able to catch his blade is such a way that I can pivot around him and... make a run for it.

I am not retreating though. I am headed for Lord Organa; my true target. I can sense him in the next room, surrounded by guards. I use the Force to boost my speed so I can reach him before Jerus.

Jude Sucal

I am headed to the hanger, leading Korre and now Xan Naberrie through the smoke filled halls. I am mildly annoyed that we had to stop for the Senator, and I fear it may have cost us pressures time. “Hurry up! We’re almost out of here!”

Darth Hexxus

Steps out into their path. “I wouldn’t say that.” Smiles wolfishly at Korre, then glances at Jude. “Thank you so much for the tip off, little man. We never would have found her without you.”
Pykeon

Planting my feet firmly, I eventually manage to resist the brunt of Jerus’ Force pushes. As for the lighting, I do my best to hold it off with my lightsaber. With a growl, shock waves of telekinesis blast out around me, sending objects around me flying in every direction and causing the walls and floors to dent. This is like a less concentrated, yet very powerful, attempt at a Force push.

The shock waves reach Jerus, bombarding him with raw energy, as well as the objects picked up in the current; tables, lamps, vases, picture frames and so on.
Pykeon

Flies backwards into the wall, but uses the Force to cushion the impact a bit. Though momentarily dazed, I am able to recover fast enough to block most of Jerus’ shots and dodge the ones I can’t. I then spin my staff in one hand and run at Jerus, hoping to close the distance again.

Becca Twilight

I spin and slash around Ursa, easily falling back into the old flow of battle. Unconsciously, I apply some of the Echani martial art to my style, countering Ursa’s savage assault with calm, fluid motions.

I had no doubt I could beat this girl easily. My only concern was Jude getting Korre out safely, and also Synclair finding her way out with the other evacuees.
Pykeon

I don’t give any ground as I deflect his blows. Though not particularly skilled, I use basic defense and attack moves combined with brute strength, which usually works out in my favor against Jedi. Fancy fighting leaves a lot of openings to take advantage of.

Becca Twilight

Meanwhile, Jude, Korre and I are almost to the medical center. Thankfully, the Organa’s have already begun evacuating the sick and wounded, which included Xan as well as Synclair and her baby, Rosalie. We intended to join up with them and give them a proper escort out... but then we run into a complication.

Ursa Lin

I stand in the hallway, my twin pink lightsabers active kn my hands. One is in a reverse grip, and the other pointed at the white haired woman and the boy. “Going somewhere? I believe you have something we want.” Looks last them to Korre. “I’ll take her off your hands, if you don’t mind.”

Becca Twilight

Jude reaches for his weapon, but I hold out a hand to stop him. “Take Korre, fine Xan and Syn. Get back to base.” I make eye contact with Ursa. “It’s been a while since I had a real fight.”

Jude Sucal

“We’ll take the long way.” I pull Korre down a side hall that will, hopefully, get us where we need to go.

Becca Twilight

Calmly, I unhook my lightsaber from my held and activate it I’m a Soresu ready stance, bathing my face in golden light. My opponent moves into a battle stands as well, spreading her blades and bending her knees. In unison, we leap at each other.
