Draxxal

Around 11:00 at night, I stand in one of the lower level chambers of Presidential Palace, watching as a series of medical droids zoom around a table. The ‘patient’ thrashes about on the operation table, screaming in intense pain. I turn to the slender woman next to me. “I’m surprised he hasn’t passed out yet.”

Carice Malori

“He is stronger than you give him credit.” I pace around the observation window. “Can’t you sense it? He wants to feel the pain. He NEEDS the pain to know that he is still alive.” I turn back to Draxxal. “And in the end, it will make him stronger.”

Draxxal

“If you say so, Mother.” My comm beeps, showing that I have received a message. When I check it the message, words appear: MAKE SURE YOU ARE ALONE

My eyes widen, and I look up to make sure Malori isn’t watching. Luckily, she is once again focused on the screaming man in the operation room. Discretely, I slip out of the room and go to the empty corridor before playing the full message.

Jakito Twilight

My hologram appears. “Greetings, High Justice. I am Jakito Twilight; Jedi Knight and Sith Hunter. The original, not the robots Chancellor Sucal made and copies our name for.” Clears throat. “Anyways, I am here on Coruscant. I k ow that the Mandalorians are making big problems for you, and I know that the a Revolution is helping them out. I’m no fan of Mandos, and I’m even less of a fan of the Greshh kids. All I care about are my family, so... IF you agree to help us sit this war out in peace, I am willing to spill everything I know about the Mandalorian plans. I’ll even help you guys capture Cosen and Gavin Greshh. Whatever you want. All I ask is that my wife, my daughter, and I all be left alone. We won’t bug you guys and hopefully you won’t bug us. I’m bringing this proposal to you instead of Sucal because, honestly, after everything we’ve been through, I’d rather take my chances trusting you than Sucal. If you agree to my terms, meet me at the following coordinates. And please come alone. I really don’t want an ambush. Especially when I have such good info for you. Okay, bye!” The message ends.

Draxxal

I stand quietly for a few moments, considering what I have just watched. Slowly, a smile comes to my face, and I head off to grab my weapons and gear.

END OF SCENE
Cosen Greshh

“I’ll update him right away then. Hopefully we’ll have everything ready to go soon.” I look towards the window before I go. Evening had settled in. The best time to go after Stoneheart would be at night, so we would have to either go tonight or wait until tomorrow. Unfortunately, Mand’alor planned to assault Presidential Palace tomorrow. Either she would have to be convinced to delay the attack, or se would have to hurry.

END OF SCENES
Cosen Greshh

I nod. “That might just work. Now all we have to do is go over the plan with Jakito and find a way to establish communication with this High Justice Draxxal. I can go brief Jakito myself, if you like. Jerus Je’and is waiting to speak to you too.”
Cosen Greshh

“Those will definitely be our biggest concern in the future so push for Presidential Palace. One obstacle at a time though. This Draxxal would make good bait, especially since Stoneheart has targeted him before. He’ll want to finish the job. But before we can use him to lure out Stoneheart, how do we lure out Draxxal? Do you think he’d come if Jakito called? And... how would he even get a hold of him.” I scratch my chin in though. “There are a lot of layers to this plan. Even one thing goes wrong and it could cause the whole thi to fall apart.”
Cosen Greshh

I step up to the holo display. “I spoke to Jerus, and yes I’ll explain everything later, and he suggested that we modify the lure. Instead of staging Jakito Twilight betraying us outright, perhaps we could have him set up a meeting with one of Sucal’s men to cut a deal. If there is one thing I know about the Twilights, it’s that family comes above all else. If Jakito could make a deal to keep his family protected in exchange for Mandalorian or Revolution secrets, I believe that would be believable enough to draw the Stoneheart out. Plus, whomever Jakito meets with would be a bonus target. I would suggest a member of the chancellor’s personal guard, or as close to that as we can manage.”
Mand’alor the Risen

“And yet that never stopped her from deceiving us and our Jedi allies.” I walk towards Cosen. “What do you want?

Cosen Greshh

“I am here to speak with Temari. It’s about our mission to find the Stoneheart Killer.”

Mandalore the Risen

“Oh, yes. Temari told me about that. Do be careful with that. I hear he’s quite the deadly foe.”

Cosen Greshh

I shrug. “If it were an easy mission, one of your warriors would have already accomplished it, wouldn’t they have?”

Mandalore the Risen

I scowl. “Or maybe I care more about their safety than yours.” I stomp past her, making sure to shoulder check her as I do. Over my shoulder, I say, “Make sure not do die out there. Your brother might not so willing to cooperate with us if we were to lose his precious sister, and I’m not done with the pair of you yet.” I walk to one of the adjoining rooms of the suite and close the door behind me.
Cosen Greshh

"Very well. I'll try to make it quick." I walk through the small lobby outside the penthouse suite and knock on the large door. When it opens, I step through and the door closes quickly behind me. Standing in the room is Temari Oro and, as I feared, Ava Cadera.

Mandalore the Risen

I turn to face Cosen. "Ah, Cosen Greshh. Good to see you've survived the war so far." To Temari, I say, "I see you've removed her shock collar. You sure that's a wise decision?"
Cosen Greshh

I tilt my head back and forth, mulling his words over. "Hmm. Not a bad idea. We should bring that up with Temari." The elevator door opens on the top level, and I step out. "Come on. Hopefully she's done meeting with Mand'alor. She's only the last person I want to see here."
Cosen Greshh

“Hunting down that Stoneheart guy. Temari Ordo is worried he’ll cause problems for the Mandalorians down the road. We don’t want his murder sprees to give them a bad name, so we? So Temari wants us to make it look like Jakito Twilight is going to betray us to Sucal or something to lure the Stoneheart out. Not sure how we are going to pull that off though. Anyone who knows Jakito will know how loyal he is to his allies. And now that you’re all here, it gives him even fewer reasons to defect. I’m afraid it’ll just be a waste of time.”
Cosen Greshh

“Does it matter? The Mandalorians are all behind her. They’d sooner see my brother and I dead than continue to walk free. Ava’s enslavement of us is her idea of mercy. At least in this situation, we walk free once the battle is over.”
