try just googling cyberpunk female characters - I had a glance and may be a few.

But yeah that sounds good for a first mission. Nice and simple and a good oppertunity to introduce and establish our characters.
I'm workin on a CS now :)
Oh I forgot I melee weapon - fixed that now. Hope all is good and appropriate with my character. Just picked some cool stuff from the rulebook which seemed so.
Name:
Thorin Doomstride (Thomas Daniels is what his mamma called him, but he didn’t much like that.)

Street name:
‘Doomstride’ ‘Doom’

Race:
Troll

Age:
32

Appearance:

Thorin is actually a little small for a Troll, lacking the bulking muscles and hunched physique one would generally expect, however despite this he still has some very intimidating qualities to him. His horns are large and pointy, and he has a large set of curved incisors – both of which he is not opposed to using as savage weapons when in a pinch. He has several piercings in each ear and is always generally scowling or frowning, rarely choosing to show any emotion other than anger.
He takes more pride than most in his appearance, though his own opinions of taste and attractiveness differ from your average runner. He wears generally dark clothing, though the occasional coloured item appears from time to time, and he is never seen out and around without his dark sunglasses .

Role:
Ex-Enforcer

Bio:
Thorin has never played well with others, his violent tendencies and mood swings often causing problems. A life filled with aggression quickly lead him to become an enforcer for the highest bidder. It wasn’t bad work, it just never quite paid enough. Several years later and a small stack of debit building and Thorin decided it was time to step things up a little. He never cared for the world of corporations, so it was easy enough for him to become a Shadowrunner, targeting different enemies whenever the money came in. Whatever skills and knowledge he lacks, he makes up for with enthusiasm and a plain simple skill for killin.

Cyberware:
Thorin is no stranger to cyberware, having had multiple implants and procedures when he has been able to afford it. Anything that makes his work easier and makes it less likely to end up bleeding to death is a good investment as far as he is concerned.

Wired Reflexes – One of his first implants, Thorin has had this highly invasive operation which implants a multitude of neural boosters and adrenalin stimulators in strategic locations all over his body. When activated everything around him seems to move in slow motion. The system includes a trigger to turn the wired reflexes on and off allowing him to use it at will.

Muscle Augmentation - Using a biological weaving treatment, special vat-grown muscle cables have been braided into Thorin’s existing muscle fibers, enhancing his muscle’s mass and performance, basically making him stronger.
Muscle Toner - This treatment has incorporated vat-grown elastic muscle fibers into his existing muscle tissue, increasing his muscle tension and flexibility, making him more agile.

Cybereyes – These provide Thorin with 20/20 vision for both eyes and includes an image link and an eye recording unit as standard, he has the following enhancements:
Low-Light Vision - This accessory allows him to see normally in light levels as low as starlight. Total darkness still renders him as blind as an unmodified person.
Thermographic Implant - This enhancement enables vision in the infrared portion of the spectrum, enabling Thorin to see heat patterns. Thermographic vision is a very practical way to spot living beings in areas of total darkness.

Gear
Thorin generally carries the small assortment of firearms with him at all times, having numerous holsters on his person. Most of his weapons he has acquired on the job – taken from the occasional corpse or holdout box.

Ruger Super Warhawk – Thorin’s first gun and the only one he has actually bought. It is a heavy revolver that looks as scary as the holes it tears through things. A tad on the noisy side but very effective.
Remington Roomsweeper – One of Thorin’s favourites, this short-barreled “shotgun pistol” can be loaded with both shot rounds as well as slugs. It’s a very effective pistol capable of stopping most foes in their tracks.
Ceska Black Scorpion – This classic machine pistol combines concealability with fearsome burst fire capabilities. It even comes with an integral folding stock for easy storage, and comes in very handy in a pinch.
Ranger Arms SM-4 – This sniper rifle features a silencer, imaging scope, and a rigid stock with shock pad. The SM-4 disassembles completely in order to fit into a standard briefcase, assembling or disassembling it can take a few moments – Thorin only takes this with him when the mission specifically calls for it.

Longsword – Thorin has a simple blade which he uses when things get up close and personal. It’s not as keen as it once was and is also stained somewhat on the blade, but it’s still just as deadly.

Other: Drinks and smokes like each day may be his last.
Name:
Princess Alexandria

Gender:
Female

Age:
21

Royal Status:
Legitimate daughter of High Queen Verandriah

Appearance:

Alexandria has the same auburn golden-red hair of her mother, its shine being almost flawless and irresistible. Her figure his thin and dainty, and it is said that she is one of the most beautiful women in the entire lands of Matal and beyond. She wears only the fairest royal gowns and most beautifully crafted dresses, she knows how to hold herself at all times so that she looks graceful and elegant. Her eyes are a light shade of green, as were her father’s – that is before they turned a bright shade of purple, they often gleam when she is deep in thought. All in all she appears almost exactly as you would expect a princess of Matal to, although appearances can be deceiving.

Personality:
Alexandria has the ability to behave in the most upstanding and gracious way, her gift with words only helping her to behave in an incredibly mature and intelligent way. The majority of people that she interacts with only see and believe exactly what she wishes them to of her, and see only ‘The Princess Alexandria’. The truth to her personality is that she is cunning and ruthless, with a somewhat hidden cruel streak. That being said she is not overly cruel or malevolent – she is just determined to win the inheritance game, and has prepared to do so her entire life. No deed is to dark or cruel for her to dismiss outright, and she will consider the strength of all options before committing to a course.
The very few times Alexandria ever gets to be herself is when she is alone or with people who do not actually know who she is – such as when she is in disguise and her actions could never come back to her.

Skills:
Alexandria has many many skills, having spent her entire life preparing for this very moment.
Through the urgings of her mother she is familiar with all aspects of Matal ‘s laws and culture – as well as versed in all the customs and practises of the religion of Matal. She has studied many subjects extensively in order to prepare her for anything that may come her way and is familiar with the many trade and work laws.

She has also spent much time training with a rapier, knowing all too well that she would be an obvious target for any seeking to win the games through attrition or murder. Her mother arranged in secret to have her trained by her personal guardsman outside of the royal grounds – with much time and much hard work she has finally reached a proficient level of skill and can now confidently defend herself, and if need be take a life. As far as she is aware only her mother, father and Captain Reynard are aware of her skills.
Unknown all but to herself, Alexandria is a very skilled liar. Throughout her life she has learned that with only words and a little manipulation that it is very easy to reach her goals and get what she wants. At the age of 21 she is now an experienced veteran when it comes deception and cunning, and she will not hesitate to use every tool at her disposal to further her own agenda.

Background:
Born as a legitimate candidate to the throne Alexandria grew up with everything you would expect of a princess – she had everything she could want and more. She had a very strong relationship with her mother, who began to teach her from a very early age many of the vital skills she would need. When she was old enough to understand the inheritance game she knew what she wanted, and that was to be Queen just like her mother.

As she grew from a child to a woman her skills continued to grow with her, and she prepared for the day that her father’s eyes would change colour and her task would begin. Soon she reached a point where she had learnt as much from her mother as she could, and as much as she was thankful she knew she needed more to survive and to be victorious. She began to sneak away from the Royal grounds whenever she was able, and in disguise she began to experience life as the people of Metal did. With the resources she had as a princess it was not difficult for her to establish contacts in the criminal world under an alias, and once she had a few skilled men she felt she could trust sufficiently she began to expand the influence that she had through bribes and favours. Before she knew it several years had passed and she now was responsible for a sufficiently powerful criminal element within the capital of Matal, responsible for bribing certain officials and other important people in exchange for favours. They had contacts with other criminal elements in the Capital as well, and could arrange almost any service or job. Though the enterprise had grown and been more successful than she could have imagined, Alexandria made sure that she kept her distance from the group and only dealt directly with one of her two partners – and always as her alias.

As if to confirm that she were ready for the challenge, soon after her father’s eyes turned from green to bright purple, signifying that things were about to get very interesting.

Cyberware: If you're a shadowrunner in 2072, you pretty much gotta have some cyberware (the exception being magicians—as a general rule, the more 'ware you have, the weaker your magic). You're free to make up your own cyberware, but if you want, check out this list and pick some. It gets complicated, so if you're wondering what kind of 'ware would suit your role the best, ask away!

Magic: Only applicable for magic-users, of course.
Are you an adept, using your magic to augment your senses and physical abilities? Which adept powers do you have? Following a tradition or theme is always cool.

Are you a mage, bending the flow mana to your will? What tradition do you follow (For example: Do you believe your power comes from the God of your religion? Do you follow the ancient, dusty tomes of your elders? Digital grimoires of the modern mage?)? What spells do you know? Do you have a mentor spirit? Do you conjure up spirits of your own? Get creative.

Are you a shaman, communing with the spirits of nature or even the city itself? Do you follow a totem? Which spirits do you typically command? Do you tend to humbly request their services or command them to do your bidding or something in between?

If you want some inspiration for your magic junk (or just want to steal from the books), here's some info that might come in handy.

Gear: Don't go too much overboard here. It's likely that the team will be buying equipment suited for the mission. But if you have some specific weapon (many shadowrunners favor katana for close-quarter combat), outfit, drone, vehicle, etc., this is the place to post it.

Other: I never know if I've missed something, so feel free to add anything you like here.

Okay, I’ve got to here, but I’m not so sure what Cyberwere would be most appropriate – i’m looking through the list but there is quite a bit. What would you guys recommend? Anything that makes shooting, speed – killing kinda things better is what I’m looking for :p

I wasn’t going to have any magic if that works?

And gear wise I can write up the usual kind of things I’d expect – but is there anything specifically ‘Shadowrunny’ I should keep in mind?

I got the rule book but again it looks like there is so much I could read! It looks pretty awesome.
I'll post up a CS in the near future - need to have a proper think and get to it.

I was thinking of being a pure combat role, likely a Troll. I was considering the Street Samurai role - though would there be something more appropriate for what I had in mind? Like weapons and explosives and things? Heavy Specialist or something?
The positions seem appropriate to me, but mabye we could have it so one person can have multiple positions?

As in Lui Xiang is a chief minister for both the trade/industry district and also an advisor for the Finance sector? Maybe he also is a document worker in the houses of legislation?

Taki Zheng is an advisor for Civil affairs, Justice and also Foreign affairs?

Get what I mean? :)
aha - that pic is awesome ^^

I'm not sure exactly what kinda role I'll play - but i'll see what kinda other roles there are from the other players and then go from there and fill a role which isn't taken, for the diversity.
