Bio

Hi all! It's Ana back from the void. I had some pretty intense months IRL, but the witch is back and ready to brew up a wonderful little story haha~ Here are my terms for OnexOne, dearlings~ Look it over and let's see if our tastes can create a lovely RP feast for you and me!

Length:

Medium causal to low advanced. I am a bit carnivorous and need a good bit of meat in the posts I get from my partners. Don't let me go hungry, huhuhu~
Like wise, I shall try to feed you with, at the very least posts of two and a half paragraphs in length or more. It's all about give and take, right~?
Mature Topics:

I can do smut and cursing, but let's try to keep it classy? I have a little brother on this site and I'd be mortified for him to find anything that isn't at least trying to be creative in word choice. Plus there are so many ways to keep things interesting and detailed without being crass or vulgar.

And while we are on the topic, I also feel that my mature RPs should be done with 18 and older roleplayers. Same goes with characters: 18 and older, preferably in the 20s, or nothing more than love fluff. You get Angel Food cake, you hear? Only 18 and up get to have Devil's Food.

And Romance doesn't have to be sappy. It can be that they hate each other in the beginning, but have attraction. Maybe they stay enemies. Maybe they unite but still don't trust one another. And maybe she is a hellion and he is cool calm and collected. Or maybe they both have bad tempers. There are so many possibilities! Romance doesn't always mean sappy fluff, but can include dark and more twisted passion. Huhuhu~ That's why there is a 'mature 18+ rating' on the door. ;P
Historical Topics:

Many, if not all, of my RPs involve some sort of historical quality. While I am no history buff, I like things to be believable. Call me nit picky and strict, but I don't like my Vikings calling my Heroine "babe" or "chick". It's odd and jars me right out of the RP.
Have Courage, Dearlings:

I won't bite you. :P I know I may seem strict on what I want, but this is just so we can both get what we want out of RP. If it isn't working, let's not be afraid to say so. Nothing is more painful than trying to feign interest in something you just are not interested in. Let's agree to talk to each other. Compromise and communication can solve many things. I am always open to suggestions once we agree on something to start with. OOC chat threads were made just for these kinds of things. So let's be friendly, yea? :3
One Final Thing:

I am looking to play the female character. I am looking for MY female character to be paired with a male character. I only clarify this because there have been misunderstandings in the past and it got reeeeeal awkward.

And so there is no confusion, I feel I must state it plainly somewhere in my current request: I would like to be the main female character. Thank you very much~ ;3

Name: Shoma Othea, Daughter of Kalnirkrum the Giant

Age: 27

Race: Giant

Appearance:

Bio: Deep in our mountains, we lived in peace. No human, nor elf, nor orc, nor Bird-man had ever traveled so far into the lands of forever Winter. Bitter cold and relentless winds were too harsh for them to live long even if they had. The only warmth was in the belly of our mountain. And we were content to stay there for as long as we lived. Never curious of the outside world, never curious of what lay beyond our ice filled dreams.

But even from a young age I was taught of others. Of brother tribes, of their sticky warm climates and their constant bothers. The bothers of the other creatures birthed by the world. Elves, creatures made of the beauty and sweetness of flowers who hid thorns, like a colorful rock lizards. Dwarves, creatures with a thirst for gold, as if their many years in caves had starved them of sunshine so much, they meant to satisfy it with material wealth. And Humans, soft and smaller than our kind, though strong of heart and as unpredictable as wild wolves.

Tales woven by the warm Heart Stones of the Mountain, children are always told Lesson Stories by the Great Elders. Yet none before me had ever taught about them as greatly as I did. If there was so much out there, why were we intent on staying in our isolated mountain? And what did summer and spring truly look like? This ‘rain’, as they called it, that was like melted snow falling from the sky, why was it so? What did it feel like? What did it smell like? What did all these creatures truly do and say? Children should not think in such ways. At least that is what my father told me.

And perhaps he was right. It was very odd for one of our kind to be so intent on the ‘why’ and insist on learning more, especially a child. So Father thought it best I keep my mind busy with practical work of the hands. Strong and sturdy work, of being a blacksmith. We had no enemies in our lonely mountain, so at most I worked on repairs. But the fast river of my mind was not sated, as my father thought it would be. No instead it moved faster and faster, as if rushing towards that great thing called The Great Salt Water.

My hands were indeed kept busy, but not my mind. In my free time I’d tinker and pull things apart, only to stack it all together again until I memorized it all. And once I was finished with that, I started to add thing, change things. Change is not something common in my tribe. Ever since my great-great-grandfather had led our people to our safe mountain, things had hardly changed at all. The same kinds of buckets, to the same kinds of clothes, to the same kinds of stories. Alway, always the same. Safe, secure and never changing. Except for me.

But what could make one ordinary youngling so different than her kin in a secluded kingdom within a mountain? Different or special? It does not truly matter, because it never did. Grasping, reaching, clawing your way to something unknown and out of your reach, it only drives you stir-crazy. Restless. Walls become too small as you grow. And so I did one last thing so different in my tribe. I left.

Down steep cliffs, yes, even steep for me, and through bitter biting winds. Snow that cracked my hard skin and burned my fingertips blue. Ice that drove straight to the bone as hunger always festered in my belly. The Winterlands are nothing but harsh, and even a giant like me could hardly survive. But it was the sight of my first tree that kept me going. Then it was the scent of roasting meat, something of a rare delicacy to my people. However my first encounter with humans was nothing but short lived. They did not seem to fond to see me. Nor did they enjoying sharing their meal.

I did not kill them, if that is what you are thinking. Life is precious, even if it’s the life of a feral wolf who sees fit to bite you before even taking in your scent. I took only half of the moose they had slain. There had been only two of them, so they could survive. I, however, am quiet a bit larger and need more food than a small human woman. But never the less, seeing humans for the first time was something of a wonder. And perhaps the more I wandered about lands so strange to me, with so much air and light, the more I came to like them. Not all were so harsh towards the sight of me, though other giants did not seem to enjoy me in their company. Almost as snobbish and untrusting as elves, they were. But I grew to learn there are very many kinds of creatures. And just because one looks similar to you, does not always mean that you and they are a like. Humans are a wondrous example of that, but then again, so am I.

Personality: She’s curious and wise, though somethings are very strange and alien to her, given her isolated homeland. She is rather gentle and takes more interest in learning about the many different designs and mechanisms than in fights and bloodshed. More often than not, she’ll try to settle something peacefully, but even she has a temper. And when angered you better get out of the way. She can seem a bit scattered brained from time to time, often muttering to herself about one thing or another. And she gets along well with animals, often enjoying their peaceful and tranquil company than that of what she finds unpredictable. And even as broad-minded and knowledgeable as she is, when it comes to naming living creatures she isn't very creative.

Faction: Wanderer, Blacksmith, but ultimately for the New High Kingdom

Gift: Gift of Burim

Weapon(s) of choice: Skull shaped shield and a triple sided sword.

Relationship/loved ones?: Just her friend Jar, a raven with one eye and a mute Fairy she calls "Tin"

Other: She is about eight foot two in height, which is a little on the short side for a female giant, but this is most likely due to the lack of meat in her diet when she was growing up.
Avatars on here have to be reeeeally small. Like 125 by 125 or something.

And it's photobucket.com but if you want to resize something fast, trying tinypic.com. Photobucket you need to make a profile but tinypic you don't.
Well if you use the cheat sheet below the box where you type in your posts, it tells you how to put up images so you can actually see the image. It has a lot more cool stuff in it too.

Haha, thank you~ I put in quotes cuz I think it looks cooler. It gives you more sense of the character too. If the GM allows it you can use them in your IC posts. It's really good for when you have multiple characters.
Haha, yeah every site has it's own little thing like that. On this site they call Character profiles, Character Sheets, but on another site I'm on they call them Skellies.
No, I understand. It's just that usually people will say no double posting, because the OOC thread has only so much room per page. IF the pages go by really fast, the people that weren't there miss things and get disheartened and sometimes leave because they feel they can't keep up. It's just so of a thing. *shrugs and grins*

And thank you, that makes it much easier. ^.^
@Anvil: Right click the image, select Copy Image Url and paste it in you post, so I know exactly which ones you are talking about. Also edit your posts in the OOC so you don't double post! Double posting is bad! No cookies for you!

@Cheshire: See! She/He's just busy! We'll see her/him soon! And if you like I can get you a right sized picture for your avatar.
I'm sure he's just busy with real life things~ He'll be on when he can~ Or she, cuz you never know. *shrugs*
Well just take your time and choose one and I can get busy on making you a tag. I call them tags, haha~ And I added the out of place one cuz I thought it was pretty and I liked it hee~

Oh and you if you happen to miss something, you can edit your previous posts so your not double posting. Posting to many times can build up the OOC and get people a bit lost. If you want to let someone know you edited your previous post, just put up an "EDIT:" sort of like I did.

I wish he would get on. I'm too excited to see if I'm accepted or not. Lol.

I'm excited to~ haha~

That one is actually a picture of a character from a video game

EDIT: More

Then I am glad you have a base! That makes this sooo much easier!
