Can I play as an elemental?
I think I might be interested

Bleh I had more written for this but I lost it in a power outage, so I will just write down the basics for now.

In the year 2344 the Planet of New Hope has been conquered by the Space Armada, propaganda from the armada has increased tensions between colonial culture and "Core" and "Cyberian" cultures, the communications network is down meaning the cyberians are weakened and with the majority of the population being colonists scapegoating is inevitable, The Space Armada claims to fight for the people against the oppressive government but in reality the Armada Doesnt really care about people on the ground, the people on the ground are just tools to keep the armada running.

The Major Cultures in this roleplay are.

Core Worlders: Tend to be richer, coming from well developed worlds (New Hope being fairly well developed) well educated but sometimes a little naive. Core worlders tend to be more Idealistic rather than practical. religious people face some persecution on some core worlds but other core worlds are very religious.

Colonists: More Practical and focused more on the group than the individual, they are willing to do shady things for the "Good of the Colony" This is an adaptation to the lifestyle they must live on the fringe. while many fled to the colonies to gain freedom from some oppressive governments on earth...earth was more forgiving to those who made the wrong decisions. individual colonies have different cultural traits, some embrace technology while others fear it, some are military structured and others are democratic. some are capitalist some are communist etc etc.

Cyberians: Cyberians come from the core worlds but are very distinct, they are people who essentially spend 24/7 on the internet, while many are human Cyberian AIs enjoy roughly the same level of freedom. To a cyberian the physical world is merely hardware meant to run cyberspace. Cyberians maintain wormhole networks that allow the core worlds to communicate and travel, cyberian presense is very rare on the more distant colonies as wormholes cannot be dragged faster than light.

Space Armada: Most members of the space armada spend life in space, for over a century they have conducted missions and worked for the people on the planets below, forced to live in starships. The original Spacers were volunteers looking for a life of adventure but now spacers have grown cold towards humanity with the rise of an admiral promising a better life served by the Planet-folk. The Space Armada does not tolerate the weak or the stupid and cares first and foremost about the ships, everything they do is to keep the ship running.

Anyone interested?
I might be interested in playing a transhuman faction trying to push the boundaries of human evolution :p
Aproximately what year does this take place? and Would an Alien character trying to study the changes on earth be out of the question?
So are alien characters playable? you said that humanity has made contact, I was originally considering playing a Transhuman uploaded intelligence, but the war happened pretty early so I dunno.
Hmm deciding between a technologically evolved human or a member of another technologically evolved non-humanoid race.

Most of my ideas are pretty weird, one that I had in mind but cant think of how to run it would be.

a war within virtual reality, Semi-Solipsistic Individualists versus Realist Collectivist.

Another idea is Temporal Technology is widespread allowing people to communicate with themselves in the past, while people are destined to send the message, the reason behind the message might change...and it might be sent by someone else using your phone. The plot would involve terrorists who will destroy the time machine, or perhaps the government will make up the destruction of the time machine. Time travel roleplays are hard to do.

Mayby something similar to babylon 5?
Ah this is for fantasy nations only I'm assuming?
