Perception distortion would be a good ability for one of us to have. There aren't any really big differences between pure humans and your run-of-the-mill few-non-human-chromosome normal humans.1) Pure humans tend to have wider array of possible powersets, as any non-human DNA skews the possible sets towards the race it is from.2) Theoretically, pure humans can adapt faster than non-pure, but that hasn't been tested.3) The racist people who thing non-humans are evil will accept a pure human much more readily than a non-pure. Also, they won't have kids with non-pures.I'm thinking of making a guy with Kekkai (spherical barriers that are good against physical attacks, poorer than average against energy) and a rogue power of "sympathetic healing" (link our subconscious so that I take your pain, emotional or physical, and boost your immune system and healing rate).

Since my characters ability will directly affect a persons brain functions then I could probably add a Perception Distortion power as well, if you'd like. It works well with this point you made Pure humans tend to have wider array of possible power sets.

And yes, I'd gathered all of that information about pure humans since I did read all of the stories you posted on the other forum. They were all super awesome by the way :3
I was also thinking about my character having been tentatively part of one of the anti-Otherkin 'mudblood ish' like cults before joining the BPI. Maybe forced to join the cult due to family connections with it, but having been lied to about some of the deeper truths. "All Otherkin and non pure humans are evil" Blah, blah stuff.
Anora gave Ramera a disbelieving frown when she said ‘it’s nothing’ but when she added ‘i’ll tell you afterwards’ Anora decided not to push it further. After all she would find out at some point what it was that had upset her eldest sister. “Alright.” Came her soft agreement along with a nod of the head, “afterwards and whenever you are ready I will be waiting.”

While her sister filled her pockets with adequate dagger shaped rocks, Anora removed the tiny and inadequate ones from the main pile, but paused when she caught the sound of crumpling paper. She looked up just in time to see a piece of familiar looking paper being placed on a nearby bench. Although she herself had not ever gotten one before, Anora knew that it was one of Sun’s fortunes.

Her sister really must have been worried if she had accepted such a thing. However as much as she wanted to say something about it, she kept quite and instead answered her sisters enquiry.

“Indeed. I have never seen such a thing before… they were acting like troops in some kind of an army. Sending in a first wave of the slowest and weakest behind what could be considered no less than a scout.” Anora stopped there, gave her sister a glance in the eyes then turned her face away, biting her bottom lip.

“Uh… I did… T-that is to say, I did learn something quite alarming. Fen found a big unconscious man, wounded but not my the dead. Before I got there the man told Fen that 'they sent them… They sent a Trojan horse’ and Fen tells me that a Trojan horse was a statue to enter an enemy city and inside were soldiers who attacked when those in the city were asleep. I am worried Ramera, you know how Fen is with his books, what if someone inside Paradise has bad intentions?” She asked, now looking back at her sister again but this time with eyes filled with unease.

“We must be diligent at all times.” With that said, Anora continued to sort through the rocks. Once all of the unfinished ones where separated into their own pile she found herself staring at the fortune paper on the desk, which came from Ramera’s pocket. Anora leaned forward and placed a gentle hand on her sisters shoulder.

“You know, dearest sister of mine… You don’t need a fortune to know that I will always return to your side. We made a promise, remember? I do not intend to break it.” She told Ramera resolutely, giving her sisters shoulder a reassuring squeeze before walking back over to the edge of the wall with the mat being dragged along behind her as she went.
I read through the stories and came to love this idea. Definitely interested!
Also, I was thinking of my character being a Sense Manipulator with a touch of Imperceptibility. Contemplating being a 100% full pure human female.

WAIT! HOLD UP! Hear me out. Pregnancy inducing zombies. Hmm?

What like an Alien baby where it claws out of the hosts womb and through the stomach muscle and skin like 'Roawrscreech!'

It works just fine if you take the last few lines outthe ones about mind reading hooblahI don't like mind reading hooblah

I agree, mind reading is actually really annoying especially when used in role-plays, I think that it is a cheat and takes away from the mystery element in a story. We in RL cannot read minds, if we want to know about someone then we need to ask them or allow them the choice to reveal it themselves. Lol sorry for the rant but I really, REALLY hate Telepathy. I only like it when it involves Professor Charles Xavier :3

Fuck, me and Metros post contradict. Not gonna lie, some of yall are postin too frequently..(Metro...hint hint) LOL Give some us other folks a chance to post so our post dont end up conflicting. And I wasn't planning on spoiling anything, but..since my post came first, maybe u can tweak urs so it fits. And then...add ur big surprise thingy.

Also, talking about the frequency of posts of some people; a mirrors reflection may reveal the same as seen from those viewing it...
Um, isn't it the same room, but the curtain surrounding the bed of Shay has been drawn to block her from sight of the kiddies?

Also, WTF! You guys talk about strange things Lol!
Back at the Wall of Paradise Anora landed beside her eldest sister Ramera, tucking her wings against her back as she stood next to the other Harpy of Three. “Paradise is under lockdown and the others have headed straight to the infirmary. For now it will just be you and me actually doing our duty to defend this city. A massive hoard of the dead is approaching.” She explained slowly, re-sheathing her dual swords after giving them a wipe over with a spare piece of cloth she had in a pocket.

“I’ll gather the collection of pointed rocks we have been chiseling into shape. I don’t want to loose anymore of my throwing knives.” Though when everything was over she could always head back out and collect them back up, then give them a good cleaning. Waiting a few moments for a response from Ramera, Anora quickly headed over to their little shack that the three sisters had built atop the wall. It was used as a place of rest but also contained quite the assortment of various bladed weapons.

Pulling back the fabric made doorway, she went straight to the corner of the room and grabbed the ends of a carpet which had a big pile of rocks on it. Anora hated the thought of loosing any of her adored weapons and so decided that rocks were a good alternative, they could be thrown at targets below the wall and the pointed ends would pierce through skulls.

Dragging the mat back over towards her sister, Anora studied Ramera’s tensed form. “Are you alright, sister?”
While Fen inspected the unconscious mans pockets, Anora was busy watching out for the dead ready to stoke them down if they got too close. Despite the lack of eye contact with Fen she still listened to what he said rather intently. But it was the explanation of the Trojan Horse that had her looking back at him with wide eyes. … Appears innocent and trustworthy on the outside, but is nefarious on the inside…soldiers inside, and they attacked once the men of Achaeans were asleep. Was there someone in Paradise with ill intentions? She would not be able to sleep tonight with this information. Her thoughts were interrupted at the appearance of The Mother.

The ruffling of her pure white feathers was caused by the sudden and quite unexpected snarl directed at her from Ravenia. Frowning she glanced over at Tobias and Jacob in a Solar Car a little further away. The Mother intended to punish them no doubt, but it didn’t sit well with Anora. The two men were worried about their leader and they had full right to. Why should it lead to punishment? Shaking her head, Anora decided that she would step in for them both and take their punishment if need be. After all it was needed to be known that true Leadership only worked through teamwork.

A primary example was the state of Shay who looked to have been injured by one of the dead. The girls condition took a turn for the worse, the Sickness taking hold of her body . Seeing her dear friends hurt was horrible to witness but the worse thing was knowing that it could have been avoided.

Another order, but this time Anora gave no response, instead she turned away and clipped a yellow retreat round into her flare gun and fired it into the sky, letting those back at Paradise know of their return. While the others got back to the solar cars and Ravenia shadow shifted with Tobias and Shay, Anora soared into the sky and made her way back to the wall of Paradise.
