Scratching his pencil against the paper he wrote this down, putting a question mark around Noah's career. "Well son, that is a very tough job eh?" The officer closed his notepad. "Alright, I think that's enough from you both, I'll be in touch if I need anymore information." He nodded towards them both. Turning towards the door to leave when a rush of Paramedics came rushing by him.

The only female medic knelt down beside Gwen. "Missus Davis, now don't panic, but I need to make sure if you're alright, can you stand?" Gwen slowly moved away from Noah's embrace looking at the medic with red and tired eyes, only nodding, she looked to Noah, using his arm for support she stood, her body moved while she stood, causing her to wobble a bit. The medic stood and held her by the waist, the other team had set up a stretcher. "Do you wish to go to the hospital Missus Davis?" One of the other medics asked, Gwen sniffled and nodded. "I- can Noah come with me- please." She said in between sniffles. The paramedics all agreed. The officer shook his head, this girl looked worse than ever now, "I hope you have a speedy recovery Miss Davis, take care Noah, I will be in touch." Officer Samuels left with a tip of his hat to Noah. The paramedics helped Gwen onto the stretcher. While the pushed her out into the hallway into the elevator they waited for Noah.
The officer followed him into the apartment his eyes narrowed until he spotted the women he'd seen in magazines and interviews for the past two weeks, crying, her eyes looked awful, her outfit ruined and her hair a mess. She looked like she had just been through hell and was going to do nothing for his investigation but, it was his job to take a statement, no matter how garbled it may be. Watching the two hold each other was gut wrenching, he looked so upset and worried and her eyes were so tired. He sighed, taking off his hat showing off his balding head. Bending down in front of Gwen he spoke in a low voice.

"Alright Missus Davis, right?" She nodded to him. "Alright, now please , if you can just describe to me in your best words, what happened tonight?" His note pad and pencil at the ready.

Gwen let her mind go blank, her expression almost listless, then genuine discomfort came to her face. She let a few more tears plop onto his shoulder again, "So many faces, so many piles. All dead!" She put her arm around his neck holding onto him tightly her sobs came harder than she planned, this might be her only chance to weep, so she did. Her poor mother and father died almost four years ago and finally after all that time she could weep for them. She noted the Officer looked familiar, without looking at him, her face in his shoulder still she spoke. "They came through, it was so- scary...these things were ugly beasts, I don't recall the others features, but one was tall. At least six foot two or so, his skin was dark. It's eyes a stark green color.' She lied but it was all to protect her 'lovers' identity just in case someone got wise. "He shouted something in another language ,his wings were huge, its feet and hands claw like. It was like looking at a Demon of some sort." She snuggled tighter into his chest. 'I just, so many people...dust and then vanished, they were all gone and he left me...to witness he had said...I don't know what to do..." She cried harder now. Her whole body shook with the force of her sobs.

The officer sighed, writing down what she said, even the description of the 'Demon' she spoke of. Standing her nodded to them both, putting his cap back on. "Thank you Miss's Davis, also Noah if my secretary spoke right, at what time do you think you picked her up from the lab? Were you driving her there or?"
Gwen let the tears fall and smear her make-up again. When he sat down and put his arm around her, she felt a chill go down her spine, making her tremble slightly. Looking into his eyes she felt her face grow hot, he looked concerned, just like a real man would be if his girlfriend really was an escaped survivor of a blo- er, dust bag, would be.

"You're really good at this, you know?" He was stroking her hand with his thumb, her hand fit well in his, Gwen felt a small smile lift to her lips. "As long as you're here with me, I feel safe." She pushed her head into his shoulder. This acting wasn't going to be as hard as she thought. 'Whoa Gwen! Chill out on the enjoyment of this. This is temporary...no need to act so convincing just yet,' Her mind scolded. Rolling her eyes she closed them tightly pushing more tears out onto his shoulder, letting a few drip onto his shoulder. A few more moments passed before a loud knock made her move from his embrace. "Showtime." She mouthed to him, nodding towards the door.

"Police, open up!" A gruff voice shouted at the door.
Eve's eyes snapped open at his words. She narrowed her eyes at him, "Yo-" Before she could finish her words, she frowned at his smirk, his hand rising and his palm outstretched. "What the he-" Suddenly the water followed his hand movements, Eve barely got out a scream before the water walled around her cutting off her air supply. Her eyes closed instinctively her body tried to fight the waters pressure and current. Her mind grew dim, the water seeping into her mouth and into her lungs as she flung around inside of the waters current. Her mind and lungs screamed for oxygen, tears mixed with the water, she was dying and Eve couldn't do anything about it. Her mind grew dim as her lungs continued to fill until suddenly a force underneath her pushed her towards the surface forcing the water out and air into her lungs. Her chest heaved as she sputtered her body limp and weak from her bout with the waters current. Why would he do this to her? More tears came, her lungs and chest hurt. Gasping she felt herself rising still until suddenly it stopped, her breathing started to even out, the water pushed her chest forwards and her head leaned back into the waters current. She heard the gurgling sound of his throat, her eyes squeezed tighter, she was scared and wanted to raise her arms to cover her chest, was he staring at her? When the sounds stopped, the water continued to rise. Eve let out a pained groan, "Ple-ase, no." She felt the words leave her lips before she could stop them, her voice cracked. Her lungs gorging on the air she in took, making it hard to speak. "No-un- PLEASE- AHHHHHHHH!" Eve let out a shrill scream, it took all the energy she could muster, and her eyes snapped open looking wildly at the sides. Eve had fresh tears in her eyes now, her body grew heavy, her limbs numb due to the water and freezing hail pouring on them. Eve was so tired, everything began to fade in and out; exhausted she kept her eyes open, blinking away tears as her chest heaved from her sobs.
Evangeline sighed, "It is hard to explain." She thumbed through the book, "I've never brought anyone in here until now actually. Usually the dreamer comes in here on their own." Looking at the mirror she sighed. "I suppose I can read further into it and tell you more, but first please just imagine you are in someplace happy so that we can get out of this dreary old room?"
Gwen sat on the couch and watched as he opened the front door, the man was dressed as a regular delivery man but she knew better. He nodded at her through the door and she nodded back. Once he was gone she watched Noah sort threw the items that had been delivered. A passport complete with new I.D and his birth certificate and all the other essentials had been made. He was now officially a paper carrying human. Gwen watched in fascination as her pretend lover played the part of her disturbed boyfriend who was genuinely worried for his girlfriend. She felt her mouth go dry, this feeling felt bitter.

"I suppose I should go prepare myself for this then huh." Standing she made sure her hair and make-up would fit with his reaction, ruffling her hair a bit more and wiping some more of her mascara onto her face.

The police would ask her all sorts of questions and she had to be ready. "Alright, a little bit about me when they ask you, I have no family, no pets and I do not have allergies. I'll obviously be too scared to talk at this point, and you shouldn't look so clean..." Walking towards him she undid a few of his buttons and crumpled his shirt causing it to wrinkle. "Something still isn't right." Looking him over a bit before she smiled, "That's it." She stood on the tips of her toes and ruffled his hair a bit. "There we are, that should do it." She sat on the couch, pulling her legs to her chest, "Okay, now come sit beside me and put your arm around my back and wait until they get here." She thought of her mother and all she must be suffering because of the angels and their selfishness. Her eyes started to produce warm and wet tears.
Evangeline sighed, "No need to get upset, and yes I can read it. I just haven't read it in so long. You'll have to give me some time, until then you need to find a way out of here." This really was more difficult than she thought. What if he really didn't want to get out of here? What if he wanted to stay here? She felt her hope dying, she couldn't let this boy stop her from getting out of here, she'd just have to convince him that being here was no better.
Eve stared at the creature, she hadn't heard his descent but she saw him now. He was there at the bottom waiting for her, his arms to his sides and his gaze on her. His hands beckoning her to him. Eve felt all her strength leave her. He wasn't going to leave her be, he was really going to catch up to her and this was it. The voice echoed into her mind, abandoned her common sense? Yes, yes she did and she had no intention of just willingly giving up either however, did she really have a choice? Letting out a yowl of despair she collapsed to her knees. "What the hell do you want from me!?" She yelled into the rain and hail that pelted her. The water had risen to her waist now, Eve felt the water rushing into her clothes now, drenching her all over again. The water had started to slow; as the hail had become more prevalent. Her hair had frozen pieces now, her eyes red and puffy from her tears.

Looking into the creatures eyes she felt all the fight drain from her. He really was intent on this mission, this somewhat bothered her. How had he found her? Was he already lurking in the woods? Had he followed her from work? Why now? None of that would matter once he got his hands on her. Eve looked at the water, its dark rushing waters surrounded her. "Oh I get it, you expect me to willingly come to you? You think this is some sort of game?' She yelled into her mind, Her eyes narrowed, standing up she shook off her jacket, it was weighing her down. The white t-shirt she had worn that was at least a size to big for her now clung to her form, her chest was very pronounced under the wet fabric of her shirt along with her waist that curved into full hips. Eve watched the jacket float down along with her purse. Her eyes seemed to close slightly, she began to walk again, this time her eyes showed nothing, her mind blank. She waded through the water until she was close enough to his reach. "If you're going to do it, then do it fast, I don't see the point in a slow death." She closed her eyes and waited, her arms tensed.
Eve felt her heart beating faster, he mind racing. A voice had spoken in her mind. His lips hadn’t even moved. The ground was indeed as the voice said, damp and slick and wasn’t very ideal, but what would she do? Just stand there and wait for this thing to mutilate her? Eve slowed, looking back before dashing in between a few trees. The hill wasn’t far from here, she knew if she kept up this speed she might just make it down the hill. No matter what that creature put into her mind she had to try.

‘Please, please let me live!’ Eve found herself praying again. Her eyes were stinging now; the rain had begun to turn into icy drops onto her face and exposed skin of her neck and hands. Stopping short, she looked down at the drop, her heart sank, the water had already begun to rain drain down the hills side, and it was full of water now, it was only at most three feet, she could try standing but it would prove difficult with its muddy floor. Her only chance of survival, the hill had become more dangerous now than ever; what could she do now!? She felt her tears streaming down her cheeks harder this time. Warming her chilled cheeks, looking at her feet, she flung it into the steam of water below. The water swallowed it instantly, slowly letting it resurface as it traveled down the side of the hill. It was now or never! Slowly making her way towards the edge she felt her body wobble. She was so tired now, all her strength would be gone once she reached the bottom, maybe she would float or maybe this was it, either way she knew she only had one shot to make it and this was it.

Closing her eyes she remembered her mother and her father. Her brothers before they became the monsters they are today, a smile played at her lips, taking a deep breath she jumped, tucking her legs into her chest rolling down the hills slippery side. The impact hurt as she slid, her legs came undone when she first hit the water, her breath letting go, and the shock of the water made her gasp, and the water filled her mouth leaking into her lungs With all the strength she could muster she tried grabbing onto the ground with her feet. She slid at first, her body falling into the water again, soaking her all over again in the cold water. Her tears streamed harder, it hurt. Finally she gained a place of balance using her purse as a weight she waded in the water, using the current to push her forward, she knew if she fell now she’d never make it to the bottom.
Evangeline gasped, "Whoa whao whoa! No! You aren't supposed to be happy about this! Look Drew, listen to me you do NOT want to be stuck in here, it isn't at all what its cracked up to be."

Evangeline felt her panic rising, this boy must truly dislike his life to choose a life of. Solitude with a stranger inside of a mirror. Opening the book again she began to read, "Ugh! This book is written in the most confusing way possible!" Thumbing through the pages she came across a drawing of her and the mirror, she looked happy then. Her smile apprent, but why was she smiling then?
