Gundam Build Fighters Next Century

Alexis snickered as Sakuya dropped her opponent like a sack of rocks, mostly due to all the shit talking people where doing before the fights started.

The 19th fight was nothing of note really, a Gouf Custom from 8th MS Team vs one of the new Graze Ritter units in which the Graze got chewed up by the Goufs Gatling Gun and tossed around by the Heat Wire cause the Graze pilot just did not being as good as the Gouf pilot, good enough for Alexis to figure this wasn't her first 'casual tourney'

"Looks like I'm up" Alexis said as she got up, gave Cassandra a kiss on the forehead before handing her to her brother and saying 'mommy will be right back', then grabbed her Queen Mansa and headed to the stage and got ready for the battle. the battle field was a ruined city, and as she approached the center of town she came under fire from a Seravee, Alexis avoided the first few shots from the Seraphim's beam cannons while the Seravee it self was charging the GN Bazooka to full power.

She was going to land, and charge in with a one of the 'Beam Sabers' or 'Beam Claymore' as she called them given the relative size difference between the Queen Mansa's Beam Sabers and almost every other Beam Saber out there, and just end it. But as she touched ground and the Seravee opened up with the full power of the GN Bazooka and the Seraphim's Beam Cannons, he made a comment to the effect of 'this is what you get for picking a worthless old hunk of junk like that'.

Alexis had dealt with a lot of flack for her choices in Gunpla through out the years, there's a certain stigma about the 00 Gundam pilots being 'Trans-Am Spammers', IE relying on Trans-Am to carry them to a win, and while she still dealt with that now and again, most that knew her knew she had grown out of that long ago. But this guys comment rubbed her wrong in a way that she hadn't felt in years, so she just tanked the blast with her I-Field and when the dust settled, the Queen Mansa just stood there, arms crossed, and red eye's a blaze, as if to say 'that it?'.

The Seravee and Seraphim, seeing beam cannons weren't gonna work, separated and and came at the Queen Mansa in a pincer attack, the Seravee coming from the front, and the Seraphim coming from the back, both with a Beam Saber active and ready to strike, and where stopped cold when Alex grabbed, and held up the Seravee by the chest armor, and back handed then forearm bashed the Seraphim into the ground with the other arm, the surprise from this sudden,simultaneous counter attack stopping him from reacting just long enough for Alexis to blast the Seravee dead center in the chest with a fully powered blast from the Mega Particle Cannon in the Queen Mansa's free arm, the blast ripping the Seravee free, after which Alexis fired a second blast into the back of the Seraphim, destroying it.

Alexis dropped the piece of the Seravee she still had a hold of and charged the MP Cannons in the chest and head to full power, as he hadn't been totally destroyed due to the Seravee's armor, and finished the crippled Gundam off, before silently collecting her Gunpla and leaving her 'opponent' to cope with what just happened.

Alexis sighed an annoyed sigh as the twelfth fight finally ended "Ever have that feeling your the only one that knows how to do something right. I'm having that feeling right now." She said as the 'Trans-Am spammers' left the stage to make room for the next fight. "And yeah, those three looked like they have some promise, could be fun to go around with them."

"Not me, my luck is terrible." Alexis snarked, before saying she'd be right back to go getta number so they could get the party started. She just hoped she got some one decent enough for the first match, as she never enjoyed battling some one so far beneath her in terms of skill that it instantly turned into a slaughter. She pulled a 20 though so looked like she was going last anyway.

"I still think you, with Funnels and a bunch of Beam Cannons is a bad idea, I've seen how mean you get with that combination." A man, holding Cassandra said as they came into ear shot of Sakuya. "It's hardly the unfair advantage your thinking." Alexis said. "Yeah, if your fighting some one at your level, chances are, the only real competition your gonna see is from your friends." he replied as Alexis set her Queen Mansa next to Sakuya's Kimaris.

"Hey Sakuya. Damian, Sakuya, Sakuya, my brother Damian." Alexis said, introducing the two, "Hi"

"Register, then see about a bit more wandering." Alexis said, mostly cause she wanted to get that out of the way before they did a bit more poking around, besides, if it was just a straight build competition it wouldn't take her long to get her kit ready to roll.

She also took a moment to have a look at what her friends where bringing to the 'party'. Dani had a Virtue, lots of fire power, tanky as hell, and can shed its armor for a faster, but far less armored form.

Sakuya still had an IBO kit, the Kimaris Trooper, fast, decent armor, good anti-armor melee weapon but no real range to speak of, so Alexis was wondering what Sakuya had in mind strategy wise to deal with Dani's Virtue, and Her Queen Mansa.

"Nope" Alexis said as she cursed the isles. She really had no plan for what she wanted to run for this, but looked anyway cause it could be fun. She had thought about grabbing something from the IBO line like Sakuya did, but, now that she did, Alexis was less inclined to do so her self. She briefly considered grabbing an Exia, for old times sake, but she was running one of this in the main tourny.

Then she found her self in the section with the Universal Century kits. Alexis was never really a fan of the UC time line, to much of it felt the same, and the suit designs where pretty bland in most cases, but there where few she liked, almost all Zeon suits incidentally, and soon enough she came back to the others, box tucked under her arm. "Found one." she said with a grin, the splash art on the side of the box beling to that of the 'Queen Mansa', a criminally rare kit for some reason.

Alexis listened and thought about it a bit. "Hmm ... could, no idea what I'd wanna use though, all I've got with me is Starlight Exia and Viper" she said after a few moments of pondering. "No real need for the prize ether, but still could be fun, so sure, why not, lets do this thing." Alexis said, give a quick look around to see if they where near a stand with Gunpla.

"I got nothing particular planned apart from just poking around and looking at stuff." Alexis said, adjusting Cassandra's hat a bit. "So we can go drop in on Nils then look around if you want." She added. Truthfully Alexis didn't care to much what they did, she was just a long for the ride to be with her friends more then anything else. Though she had to refuse the offer of funnel cake that was amusingly shaped like a Fin Funnel, on the grounds she was still trying to get rid of some of the left over 'baby weight'.

"That sounds like Dani doesn't it?" Alexis said to Cassandra, who was now sporting a Zaku themed hat as they headed over to where Dani's squee came from.

Didn't take her long to find Dani and Sakuya sitting on bench. "You guys are out of shape if walking around a fair takes it out of you, really oughta do some cardio." Alexis said jokingly as she walked up. "So, whats the plan? Do the tourist thing or do the 'celeb' thing?" she asked, as Cassandra was distracted by a butterfly looking insect.

After picking up her daughter and dropping off her Exia so she could work on it later, and headed down to the fair grounds to meet up with the others. The world tournament fair was, well a fair, only Gundam themed. Small rides and food vendors all over the place, as well as drawings and classes for Gunpla, and a build center to give people a place to build and get some instruction on how to build better.

Cassandra mostly clung to her mother as the two of them made they're way through the fair grounds, stopping at the odd stall to have a look at something while looking for Dani and Sakuya.
