@NuttsnBolts are you available for a co-op?
"Err, Captain, Swarm is unable to assist team B, as it is not in a condition allowing it to do so. For one, it cannot fly or even hover anymore, and in addition the rocket launchers cannot reload. All the Swarm would be is a single use rocketlauncher with the inability to get to the battlefield in time." Joe attempted to inform the captain. "Mad-E's pilot might also be uncinscious due to the forces exerted on her, but I'm not fully sure."

Before the captain responded, he started a self-diagnostic, to see if he could quickly fix the reload mechanism of the rocketlauncher on the field. If the captain didn't change her mind, he had to have the swarm in the best condition he could possibly get it into before arrival.
Oops, my post kinda blew up.
While Joe flew directly above the tanks in around 5 kilometers height, Mad-E's spontanious actions distracted him from keeping the detabilized Swarm under control, and thus, the Swarm prompty tilted downwards and started spinning on a vertical axis. It quickly spun too fast for any human to hope to counteract it effectively. To save himself Joe attempted to get the NC's computer to 'lock' the controls' axes, so Joe wouldn't have to factor in the rotation himself when controlling, although that mode would make turning difficult, as the controls would always point north, even if the NC wasn't, which could lead to accidental sideways-walks. In his haste he accidentally dumb-launched a full volley of missiles, which quickly spread out in a circular pattern around the battlefield due to the centrifugal force. The Swarm however fell faster than its missiles, as it was still on full thrust, powering downwards onto the enemy, in what likely looked like a kamikaze attempt.
Joe was done with the 'locking' of his controls just in time, as it turned out. He pulled up immedeatly, the NC slowly followed his orders, degree by degree. Joe didn't remember whether or not he screamed while falling.
He would reach a horizontal course at about 1 meter above the ground, which luckily was rather flat. He was at a 45° angle, as the computer had almost fully stopped the rotation, and Joe noticed that he fired a volley of the missiles as one passed him within 100 meters. It was at that moment that he noticed, he accidentally surrounded the enemy on his very own. If he was to engage the aim at the right moment, the missiles would by flying at the tanks from all directions, impossible to dodge all, impossible to shoot down more than a few, the hits were almost assured. He waited a few seconds until the right time, then activated the aim-laser pointed at the tank that looked like it was in the best shape of all of the tanks.
As the Swarm had slowed down while turning, it was turning at a much faster rate now, but Joe would still get close to the ground. Unfortunatly, his discovery had distracted him from looking at where he was flying, so unlucky as he was, he ended up on a collision course with a lonely tree. The tree obviously didn't survive the impact, it was shattered while also being ripped out of the ground. It still did much damage to the NC, for a tree that is, and as a result the Swarm was unable to take off again in its current state without repairs, so it crashed. After rolling over while sliding across the ground, the Swarm came to a halt on its back, feet pointing away from the enemy, the rocket-launcher, while loaded and able to fire, was unable to reload automatically now; the aiming-laser still functioned. Joe was lucky to have put his seat-belt on, otherwise he would be either mush or jelly by now, and his neurological impant wasn't ripped out by the force, which would have pulled on the cable, if the plug had gotten stuck in the socket, and if he would have been flung out of his seat. The crash had pushed most of Joe's blood into his legs, so he fell unconscious for a short time.
When he woke up, he looked up, where the enemy was last seen by him from his current perspective, to see if the fight was still going. He had only one volley of missiles left.
Thankfully Imgor wasn't looking in Alex' direction as the flare ignited, so he remained unaffected.
With the knife in his hands, he attempted to circle the beast, using the tracking spell to know its position while he did his best to not be noticed by the beast. If he could successfully get behind the beast, he would grab its stinger, jab a knife into a joint of its tail, turn the knife sideways to cut through most of the joint, and then rip off the stinger, in case it was still connected. Without its stinger, the beast had lost one weapon, and in case Imgor wouldn't loose the stinger in the battle, he also had a poisonous weapon for future fights.
The beast would most likely try to attack him the instant he grabbed the stinger. He would have to get away from the beast as quickly as possible, if he didn't want to end up as beast-food.
The fog scattered Swarm's missile's aiming laser, making precise targeting impossible. However, the laser was still able to light up parts of the fog sufficiently to pose as a vague target for the missiles, which ended up flying into the fog at relatively random heights and angles, almost all missiles didn't hit anything and exited the cloud on the other side, slamming into the ground a few hundred meters later. A few of the missiles seemed to have hit something within the fog however, but whether what they hit was the ground or a tank was unintelligable through the thick fog. Joe fired the next volley as soon as he could, without using the dumb-fire mode; If the missiles entered the fog at a steeper angle, they would at least hit the ground, and the shockwaves from the blasts should at least keep the tank's crew scared. The gaseous products from the chemical reactions causing in the explosion should also lighten up the fog by spreading it over a greater area, at least a tiny bit.
Joe audibly sighed, when he was back he would have to get the Swarm a backup weapon, which was unaffected by the visual conditions. Even a tiny machinegun would technically fit, although not help a bit against the armor of NCs or tanks.
Imgor slowed his pace a littlebit after he left the city walls, stopping him wasn't as easy now. The moment Sapphire entered the range of his tracking spell he slowed down even further to a walk.
As Sapphires movements didn't appear too hectic, Imgor took the time to check if other known people were nearby. While checking for Alexander, the spell indicated he followed behind Imgor.
A littlebit surprised, Imgor quickly turns towards Alex, the glow of the spell still in his eyes, making it look as if he was posessed, especially with the contrast to the dark night.

Before the two could say anything or wonder what the other was doing, something rustled in the bushes. Quickly, an appendage revealed itself slowly rising from the foilage of the outer forest near Coalstrike. It appeared... insectoid. It brought to mind a scorpion perhaps, but this obviously wasn't a scorpion, the stinger itself was the size of a particularly thick long sword, nearly a zwei-hander in overall size! The tail was large and thick as well, whatever its' attached to must be quite a behemoth... easily larger then a human. Very easily.

Imgor looked at the strange insectoid creature with a mix of fascination, surprise and a pinch of respect. This was the first time he had seen such a large insectoid. Slowly, he moved his hand towards where his trusty kitchen knife was usually sheathed, attempting to grab it, in case IT attacked. His familar saw the image through the connection of 'turn familiar', and thought IT looked delicous. Imgor meanwhile observed IT with utmost attention.

As soon as Imgor prepared himself, the Super-Scorpion revealed itself in full. Well, it wasn't a proper animal at all... it was definitely a Beast. This was obvious, due to its'... ghastly features. Firstly, instead of a scorpion-like mouth, it had what looked to be a lamprey's orifice... with human-like skulls coming out and biting. That was.. disturbing. In addition, it had what looked to be over-sized human hands instead of feet, but with eight fingers each instead, many moving the wrong-way, and occasionally gripping the ground so hard a nail broke off. Finally, its' mouth also had a large ovipositor inside, similar to a tongue, in the center of all of the unfleshed human-like heads.

The sight froze Imgor for a second. He knew beasts were not the most beautiful creatures, to put it lightly, but he didn't expect hybrids like these. However, he also knew one other thing: the exoskeleton was likely too thick to be penetrated by his simple bow, and the uncovered parts weren't too crucial either. He attempted to ask Alex for a distraction without being heard by the beast, which obviously noticed. He hopes Alex would distract the beast enough, so Imgor could cut off the stinger using his knife after approaching from behind.

The Beast, as soon as Imgor started to try to whipser, charged, breaking the particularly dense foiliage it was hiding behind and beggining to salivate that particular green bile that all beasts seem to love. If Imgor didn't know any better, he thought he could hear the damn thing attempt to speak... but that was insane!

Imgor attempted to dodge the charge, using a mixe of rolling to the side and running up a tree, the attempt looked...not too elegant. He attempted to hold the knife in such a way, that the beast would run into its edge at full speed.
Nice post, Nutts.
"Madison, Joe, damage report."
"Damage to Swarm's internal systems and weapons negligable. Armor integrity of left leg significantly weakened on impact spot. Flight stability compromised." Joe quickly reported. "Attemtping to use instability to evade enemy targeting." He didn't attempt to get Swarm back under control, Joe just did his best to prevent the altitude from falling below 5km, and to prevent spinning too fast to fire the missiles or even pass out due to the centrifugal force.
He fired another volley the same way as the first one. After switching to the aimed phase, the missiles tended to spaz out, because the IR-laser couldn't be pointed at the same spot all the time due to the instability.
"Captain, does the swarm have any sort of emergency bailout for the pilot in case the jetpack fails mid-flight?"
The Swarm started ascending to its maximum flight-altitude again, and Joe switched the missiles to dumb-launch mode.
Directly above most non-directional radar units is a blind-spot, expanding in the shape of a cone the further away from the radar one is. Joe planned to abuse that very blind spot, if it was present, by circling directly above the enemy as high as he could, while dropping his missiles onto them. Even if the blind spot was covered by a skyward radar, he deemed himself far enough away to be able to dodge most incoming fire, while gravity helped his missiles save fuel without loosing range or accuracy.
After the distance between the spot on the ground directly below him and the enemy tank was 3 quarters of the range of his missiles, Joe released a volley of them. As they were in dumb-launch mode, their engines didn't ignite, and they fell straight down. A few hundred meters before they impacted the ground he ordered the missiles to ignite their engines, while pointing the aim-laser at the nearest enemy tank.
To onlookers on the ground, it looked as if missiles were appearing out of thin air, although a sensitive enough radar would likely have been able to detect the falling missiles beforehand, although likely misclassifying them as either bombs or debris.
