With a snap of fingers, the entire room disappeared as they seemed to be in a wasteland.

A place where the known Keyblade War took place. A wasteland with the decoration of the fallen and unusable Keyblades of the dead wielders. All of them for one single thing....
RInnosuke: Look all around you. Describe me what you see.
Necrox: Are those... more of these Keyblades?
Keine: Yes. They were used by another wielders throughout many years to pass. However, it was here that a war had its beginning, its climax, and its end.
Lilly: OK, but what we want to understand is what they are.
Rinnosuke: ... Then read this.
Rinnosuke gave a piece of paper to Lilly. It had something written on it.
Lilly: "For you who reads this... I am a wielder and currently on the Keyblade War. As the name implies, our weapons are the Keyblades. They are what a normal human could describe as the combination from a sword, a shield and a staff. However, there is more for it. It is actually a weapon that choses its host, given that the heart from the one is strong enough to wield one. This combination has a more profound meaning. The
sword means the power to destroy everything. The
shield means the power to protect everything. The
staff means the power to balance or corrupt. Our weapons aren't simply some useless blade that was given to war. It has the power to unlock the secrets of the world and of the hearts of humanity and races alike in cases. It can be the savior or the devil. It all depends on the user."
Rinnosuke: It doesn't end there. Here, take this one as well.
Lilly: "For you who read this... The reason that this war is happening has a name:
Kingdom Hearts. You are able to see it if the moon at the sky is shaped like a heart. It is said to be a realm made of free hearts, but it is more than that. It is the ultimate source of power existent in our world. However, the access to it is almost impossible. For it, you need its counterpart: the most powerful of all Keyblades, the
χ-blade. With it, one is able to cross the boundaries between worlds and enter Kingdom Hearts. I fight simply for the peace that I want to come, but few are like me. All the others are interested on the power that exists in this mysterious realm."
Necrox: What are these...?
Rinnosuke: Reports and letters at the same time. Is that a good explanation to you?
Necrox: Yeah. But it doesn't answer one thing: how come that Magio is the one wielding it.
Rinnosuke: ... I have another report. Would you read it, Lilly?
He passes the third paper to her.
Lilly: "For you who reads this... The Keyblade is not a weapon that can be chosed. It chooses his master at his free will. Those with the heart enough to attain its power are to be called Keyblade wielders. The Keyblade of each wielder is not the same as the another. The form it takes and the power of that Keyblade depends truly from the user's heart. Whether the wielder shall be faint of heart or strong of will, the Keyblade shall mimic it."
Necrox: ...
Rinnosuke: The reason that we fret about it... there are many people after it. They want the power from these Keyblades, so they can obtain power enough to have the χ-blade. We can't let Kingdom Hearts be used for the wrong deeds. Do you understand?
Keine: ... Necrox... you fell silent.

Tears of the LightNecrox: OK, I got it. The Keyblade is powerful. The Keyblade is all that is good or evil. Keyblade this... Keyblade that... you know, I've heard of it today and I'm already tired of it.
Rinnosuke: What is your reason?

Necrox: No, I don't! She never needed any power other than hers to do what she does! Why she would decide now that using this Kingdom Hearts is a better plan?!
Rinnosuke: Necrox...
Necrox: ... I get it. You're trying to confine him... aren't you?
Rinnosuke and Keine: !!
Necrox: So then let me tell you something. You won't. Every time he needs, I'll be there to break him free. Magio has a reason to keep fighting and he will!
Lilly: That's right! If you want to lock him away, you have to pass by us first!!
