Okay, I edited my character. How does it look now?
The flashes of lightning brought several pokemon down, and they didn't get up. Their bodies were still moving, but barely as if breathing was almost too much trouble to apply the effort. The horde paused, unsure of how to react. It wasn't that they weren't used to seeing lightning flash down from the skies to strike them. There wasn't a pokemon there who hadn't been hit by thunder at one point or another. It was a fairly common type for attacking. What brought them to the stop was that some of the pokemon on the ground shouldn't have been on the ground, because their high special defenses should've kept them on their feet. So then, there had to be something about the lightning that wasn't reacting right. The effects of the lightning weren't lost on the pokemon with the second group. Only the Kangaskhan looked like he was still ready for a fight. Her eyes were locked on the one with blade, fist in a fighter's stance, hoping she'd make a move first. Somewhere off in the distance the Rhyperior made a startled sound as his head broke the water's surface that had nothing to do with elemental weakness. It was chocked off fast enough to make it a relatively certain that nobody else heard it. "Oh." Jynmi looked around, eyes narrowing as he tried to see any of their enemies sneaking towards them. "Are we done then? That wasn't too bad." He nodded at himself, certain things couldn't go on like this any longer. "It looks that way." He turned towards the others. "Should we relax? We're strangers to these guys, and if neither of you mind me saying so, probably don't look to friendly." He turned down and nudged a nearby furret with his left foot. "Especially with these guys all sprayed out and half dead looking." This wasn't very nice, and the pokemon made this known by growling lowly in their throats, letting everyone involved know there was a limit to their uncertainty. "Ooops. Sorry." He backed up and raised his hands in surrender. "I get it. I'll be have." Or he'd try, at least, but there wouldn't be any promises made. Of course he wouldn't say it out loud, but it was there, and he worried about mind readers. As the standoff was going on, towards the other end of the lake, a few bubbles started floating up to the water's surface. They didn't look very sinister, unless one looked closer at the strange glowing green mist that wafted upwards like a fat man up a flight of stairs, after each bubble popped. Slowly, the spot where the bubbles started moved outwards, creating a line that looked like there was a streak of boiling water heading for the other end of the lake. None of the pokemon noticed it, but for an ivysaur, who was fairly certain he'd seen something like it before. What would have been preferred was if it alerted the rest, but it had only recently evolved, and wanted to be a hero. So it began gathering solar power, reading a blast. It's whole body tensed with fear and excitement. "Ugh! I can't take this any more. Why do you think I never watch thrillers." He stepped forwards and called with his hands over his mouth to act like a microphone. "Hey, are we done? Can we all live in peace now?" In response, because the ivysaur was so tightly wound, it looked in the group's direction, and forgot about holding the solar energy. There was a bright flash of green light that burst through someone in the crowd, and would've smashed into Jynmi, and probably kept going, if not for him raising his hands and a wall of light appearing before him. The green light exploded on said wall, and send Jynmi flying backwards into a tree which didn't let him go any further. "Ouch." This was a good enough sign as any for the other pokemon, especially the ones who didn't care about being hurt or not, but just wanted for the stand off to end, and they started moving again. The Kangaskhan rushed the woman with the sword, meaning to take her head off with the glowing fist that was mega punch. A Shedjina decided the guy with the lightning was their greatest threat, and shot at him like a bullet, a fat, bug eyed bullet with wicked looking claws. The scyther, right behind it, decided to go for one who caused her budddy Rhyperior to fall into the lake. It would have to be fast so she could help him get out, or get someone who could help, get out to help.
Still having trouble picking out which Faction would work best with Scratch. Leaning towards the shadow one since it has fewer people. Anyways, I kind of threw it all together after a particularly inspiring Bike ride so there'll probably be somethings that need changing that I missed. Name: Scratch Age: Ageless, human body is 16 Gender: Male(ish) Appearance: Canon, AU, or OC?: AU Universe of Origin: Hell Personality: Scratch is the composite persona of two separate entities. The first was a young man who made a deal, and the last demon in hell. On the surface Scotch gives of an aura of being carefree, and being unaware of the goings on. He acts the fool, and does what he can to appear insignificant, a thing not worthy of anyone's time, or notice. However, Inside, he's a totally different person. There's a pride that won't bend, and to damage it is to invoke a furious rage. Scratch is well aware of this fault, and goes through pains to keep himself in check, and succeeds mostly since he doesn't care about much, but when a nerve is pricked just right, he explodes. He's strongly against the chain of command, and feels things deserve to be free from the kind of control God, or mortals who stand on higher peeks hold over other lives. Abilities/Weapons: Possessed body-In reality, Scratch is a spiritual being. The body scratch is in isn't really his, but the one he took from the dying boy in exchange for fulfilling a dying wish. The body itself is rather small, and unimpressive, but because the demon has complete control over it, it seems stronger, and faster than it should be. This is because the demon can bypass the normal barriers that would keep the body from being kept constantly at its limits. The demon must take care though because it can still be injured like any regular human body, and the demon has trouble understanding pain like other humans do. Divine will-Before falling from Grace Scratch was an angel, and as such he was able to manifest his will on the physical and spiritual world. Unfortunately, because he's now in a human body, which has limits, unlike spiritual beings, the power can't be used to the fullness. There are limits to each individual form of divine will. The power of divine will is separated into three forms, each form looking like fire of a different color. --Black Fire- This fire feeds off Scratch's negative emotions like anger, pride, and hate. It's a purely destructive force that really can't be used for anything more than offense. Black fire is a negating power that doesn't destroy things in the usual sense, but completely erases something from existence, regardless of it being physical, or spiritual. Black fire has the greatest range of all the fires, but for the most part is limited to the field of vision. Its the most tiring of the forms of divine will, because of the negative emotions needed for fuel. --Gray Fire-This fire comes focus, the kind that's not infused with anger or fondness. Gray fire is a force of manipulation. It can't destroy or create like white and black fires, but instead manipulates natural, and spiritual forces to accomplish certain tasks like focusing all the gravity within a certain range down to a single point, moving kinetic energy around to create heat or cold, or pulling residue spiritual energy from an area to form a solid barrier. Scorch must take care when using this type of fire because for every action there's a reaction. The range isn't as great as black fire's but its also not limited to the line of sight either. Gray fire influence can reach about thirty yards from Scratch. --White fire-The last form of Divine will, and the one Scratch has almost no access to. Its the ability to create, to bring things into existence which shouldn't be like new matter, new spiritual substance. It's like the philosopher's stone, in that, it lets it bring things into being without regards to what's already in existence. one doesn't control white fire anymore than they can control who they care for, and to what extent their care is. When its activate, white fire will do whatever it is that the user's heart desires, such as Scratch's sword which was born out of the desire to protect the boy from the death aspects. Some angels speculate that the white fire isn't really controlled by the user, but it a sentient thing on its own which can only be brought into being through positive emotions. To use White fire Scratch must be in a state of fondness or connection for something outside of himself. Its the flame of miracles. The range is almost nothing. Unlike the other two forms of will fire, White flames don't leave Scratch feeling tired, but invigorated. -----Vengeance blade A glowing white, rapier, The only result of white fire Scratch has been able to accomplish. Its blade exists both physically and spiritually. Its incredibly light, and insanely sharp. The most interesting aspect of the blade is its momentum, which, when used offensively, is always hundreds of timers greater than it should be. Backstory: Scratch was one of the first angels to rebel against God, along with the seven greater demons, and was later cast into hell for his crimes. Little by little, as man was forgiven his sins, so were the demons, who were later allowed back into grace with God. Scratch wasn't amongst these. So he stayed in hell, waiting, until one day he found himself pulled from the depths by the call of a young man, the last human being on the planet, the one who refused to bend a knee to the divine master. The boy was dying. Patience had run out, and God had scent death angels to silence him forever. Scratch didn't know the human, and had no reason to fight for him, but he did. It was this connection that caused the vengeance blade's creation. It was all for not. The boy had been weekend, and wouldn't last long. It was the same for the demon, who felt himself being pulled once again back to the pit. So with the last of his strength he, the human struck a deal with Scratch. In exchange for his body, The most stubborn of the hellions would have to seek God out, and strangle him with his own hands. The deal was struck, and the boy's spirit disappeared from existence. In its place, Scratch, armed with the boy's knowledge of the world, stood. He couldn't get to heaven as he was, but he could wait, because someone would come eventually. It was not Michael who was sent, but the messenger, Gabriel, but not for battle, but to banish Scratch from the realm of God, because such a thing as Scratch has never existed before, and their master didn't want such an abomination's blood in his universe. Which was how Scratch ended up in the multiverse. Faction: Factionless(or maybe shadow entity)
Should I just post tomorrow after work, or wait for Rin, Vita, and maybe a few other people till Monday? Um. This thing has kind of gotten off track, huh? I"m sorry. i just never know when to post when leading a RP. Would everyone prefer for me to follow a regular posting schedule like once every two or three days, or wait for a certain number of people to catch up? What would work best for you guys? Also, was there something wrong with my last post? Would it make it easier on anyone if I changed something? > Trying to figure out how to post still. > > My biggest obstacle is actually getting her to transform honestly. I can think of two. First, accidental route, for example she slips, the device falls and hits something, turning it on, or you could say she gets captured and something takes the device, and playing with it, accidentally turns it on.
Since this is going to take place 130 years in the future of the Naruto world, are there going to be any changes to what we know? For example, how will the political scene be like?
I'm interested. I'm not sure about helping you GM, because I've got school and work, but I'd be up for helping you discuss things. I do surprisingly well as a sounding board.
So what are the limits on Starters? Would anything be allowed, so long as its not fully evolved, I mean.
I'm in!
Heads up. I'll give it one more day before posting. Hopefully that'll get things moving again.
I've finally figured out what kind of Character I'm going to use that's from an AU of the Dresden Files. I'm just having some trouble with the wording ^.^;
