"Ah, I see. Well, I have a fire affinity. I'm not good at it at all, infact I am really really bad at it. It only happens when I am angry and then it will lash out at anyone, sometimes not even affecting the person causing my anger. Instead it could hit me or even a bystander." Amara sighed deeply, closing her eyes. "Sorry, these aren't your problems." She opened her eyes. "Can you tell give me specific directions? Or perhaps give me a landmark or two?"
Amara hesitated momentarily before deciding that this fellow was as safe as any and sighing. "Do you know where I might find someone who teaches magic? I know some...very little really." She stopped and walked closer lowering her voice. "I have a bit of an affinity for a certain element." She said just above a whisper. Amara was careful about how much information she gave the shopkeeper, knowing how badly that had turned out in the last town. "I just need a little guidance, I'm a drifter though, so I don't plan on sticking around longer than I have too."
Mara spun around facing the man. "O-o-oh!" She stammered. "I, um...can you tell me a bit about this area? I've been traveling for some time."
Throughout the many conversations that had stopped and started. Mara watched everyone. She felt rather uncomfortable with the many people around and had to put an effort in keeping her sticky fingers to herself and away from anything valuable. Being a thief for so long, one tends to often have a silent desire to take something regardless of needing it or not. Nonetheless, she kept control of her thoughts and her body and simply looked about on the shelves. As she turned, she continued to listen in on anyone within earshot, hoping to pick up some sort of useful information.

After some time, the shop had emptied out quite a bit. She sighed and looked outside the window of the trinket store.
Amara Velrose (Female)

[Yet to find an accurate pic lol ^_^;;]

Age: 18

[Appearance]
Height: 5"5 1/2
Skin: Caramel
Hair: Dark brown
Eyes: Soft brown with flecks of gold that seem to drift around her pupils
Build: Rather thin frame with defined hips (usually obscured by her style of dress), average chest size, and wears sleeves on her forearms to hide her various burns and scars there.

Personality/Some Background: Can be rather bratty at times. Somewhat cautious, though her curiosity often gets the best of her. Amara spends most of her time traveling between different areas. Despite her somewhat bratty nature Amara came from a rather poor background and ran away from home at the age of 12 with her 15 year old, both surviving by becoming thieves. After her brother's sudden arrest and disappearance, Amara has been traveling alone and hoping to find someone to teach her magic or at the very least, enchantments; hoping that with this, she can free her brother.

Skills: Stealing, Stealth, Gambling, and quick speed/reaction time.

Ability: Can manipulate fire for short amounts of time by rearranging the particles of energy produced by friction and high amounts of heat. [Due to lack of control, this ability is not commonly used]

Drawbacks: No learned fighting style, little experience with weapons other than small knives, does not think very far ahead, has a reckless nature
Mara turned and looked at the other man, Silas, then down to his pack. Her curiosity peaked briefly but she turned away not wanting to be distracted from her actual goals. She took a small step away from him not wanting to interrupt whatever business they had. After all, she was just loitering for the moment. Admittedly, though, she was curious of his pelts, though she wouldn't have the luxury to purchase.
Indeed there was a small audience in the room, but nothing to dramatic. Hearing a voice Mara jolted and hesitantly entered, approaching a previously conversing man and woman, the former of which was sitting behind a desk with a wind up horse. She cleared her throat "Excuse me." She paused trying her best to hide her accent. "This is a bit of an odd question, but can you tell me where exactly I am?"
Amara must have wandered about for another twenty minutes, thinking back to the woman from before now and again. For a moment, she thought the woman had stopped and looked back, but a large family had crossed in front of her followed by another group of people; and she had a feeling the lady wouldn't have stuck around after getting a clear chance to leave. Amara reasoned that her forwardness probably startled her and made a note to be less outward when she addressed the people of this area.

She rounded another corner and strode up yet another street until she noticed a smaller shop sandwiched among the others. It appeared to be a normal trinket shop from what she could tell after peering through the window. Not what she was looking for, but maybe the storekeeper had some useful information. Trying not to look too suspicious, she opened the front door and gave the place a once over to make sure there weren't a lot of people.
As the activity of the marketplace picked up, Amara soon lost the woman she was following. She let out a dramatic sigh and stopped short, earning herself a few glares and loud complaints from people hurrying passed her. She huffed and pouted like a child, folding her arms. She waited a minute before smiling to herself and shaking her head, had her brother been there, he'd have scolded her for acting so silly at her age. She decided to shrug it off and take her chances at finding the shop herself.

There were a few magical shops scattered about, but none quite held her interest, or were too crowded for her liking, though it make pick pocketing easier she supposed. Still, she was trying to stay under the radar and the last thing she needed was someone eyeing her swipe another's coin pouch. Amara looked down at her dingy white top, which connected to the dull dusty brown section of the rest of the dress. It had definitely been a long day, she'd been up all night, and the seventeen year old honestly just wanted to find a cheap in. Sadly, none were in her price range; with another sigh, this one lacking all humor, she started off again.
Amara, having been just casually strolling through the market, with her eyes shifting here and there as she struggled with her mood, couldn't help but notice when a fidgety young woman rushed by before stopping by the crates Amara was near. Briefly they locked eyes until Amara quickly looked away so as not to scare away the lady. Looking back however, she noticed the ring the woman had quickly put on tightened around her finger. Amara gaped, mirroring the woman's surprise. "Hey!" She said suddenly spinning her whole body around and approaching the lady "Where'd ya get that?"

Typically, she wasn't the type to make her observations known, considering she was a stranger in this town and had enough trouble as it was. But she was almost certain that, assuming the lady bought that ring in a nearby shop and not stolen it off of a foreigner, the store was sure to be able to help her.

She noticed the woman turn as if she hadn't heard and rushed after her
